Something I never understand about the people behind these kinds of things is why they almost *never* advertise the battery life!! That’s close to the most important thing about any handheld device, and should definitely be given more priority than graphical quality or refresh rate.
I love my ally, been playing starfield and forza on it mostly (along with a lil cod and indie games)

On the ghost mod...there are actually exotic armor pieces that COMPLETELY IGNORE the armorer focusing rule to an extent depending on what stat that they get an Intrinsic 10 or more in
I've never heard this one before. Got an example?
Young Ahamkara's Spine with Discipline, Celestial Nighthawk with Intellect, etc. Took a while to figure this out before I realized why getting good stat distribution on Nighthawk felt like a slog despite using ghost mods.
Yeah and those armor biases tend to relate to what the exotic's perk does.
Apotheosis Veil can’t roll lower than 15 in Intellect. Not like anyone uses it tho
While this is true, if you focus exotics at Rahool via Advanced or Precision decryption, you can get your ghost mod to ALWAYS work and never be ignored.
the amount of times ive seen people hold their motes when we can invade and shut the enemy down early is astonishing
(edit) and I cant stress this enough, but almost every strike ive done (ESPECIALLY NIGHTFALLS), not a single blueberry knows that they shoot and revive. its not rocket science blueberries i promise

I live in gambit. Please don't get me started on the "I'm so close to 15" (it clearly says 4 motes over their fuckin head) "how close?" "like 1 or 2 off at best". My blueberries are special but my friends are a whole different breed of special lol

Using dexterity mods and targeting mods is actually quite useful for a load out swap B4 DMG. Using these will help you hit more shots and swap your guns faster for higher dps. You of course don't want to run these b4 a dmg phase though.
yeah, if you are trying to eke out a ton of boss DPS, you are probably doing some sort of rotation, which means dex mods are important for almost everything and targeting mods are important for anything you want to ADS with (like snipers)

7:36 If I'm not wrong, activity surges don't stack with the activity weapon overcharge modifier; they do stack with your own surge mods on your armour

One thing I hate is having to do the story on every character I have, I just wanna do it on 1 character. I love playing my warlock but I also wanna try my titan and hunter I just have no time to be doing the witch queen and light fall for both characters.
Then don't bother doing Witch Queen on alts past the first mission. Once you have the crafting table unlocked, the rest is unneeded.
@@thunderchief7256 The bank exists, and the patterns for your second and third class specific glaives can be grabbed from the evidence board as if they were in the exotic kiosk at the tower. Witch Queen armor exotics are not campaign locked the way the Shadowkeep armors are.
OP already played the campaigns on warlock, so there's no need for them to rerun Witch Queen on the other classes.
It’s fairly quick if you just run it on normal and optimize everything. I typically just turn all the sound off, play some YT video/music, and mindlessly do the content i’ve already done. I’ll sometimes turn on the audio if it’s a cutscene/dialogue i like, but otherwise it stays off
Honestly i felt like this, but i manged to hit soft cap on my second guy in a few hours. Your gaurdian rank carrying over helps massively with this as you can immediatly mod everything you pick up, and none of the new player busy work needs to be done (except the first mission of the game obvs)
Sorry, as a titan main, punching exploding enemies is just in our DNA.

Here's a protip: it's perfectly fine to have a full vault. Once you've played for a while and have opinions about what guns and rolls are good, you probably delete 99% of the guns you get, actually use a couple hundred at most, and the rest can be "interesting, I'll have to try this at some point" rolls. (My Cascade Point Taraxippos is in that category, for instance, as well as a handful of Warden's Law copies because there's no way they let that gun stay as bad as it is, right? Some fusions and sniper rifles that I haven't gotten around to trying, too.)
My vault had tons of awesome and interesting rolls like that, and even after I did a deep clean of my vault, I had about 200 guns left over when I still only really use like 8 guns on a regular basis XD

More or less what I do, but to add to that: I usually go by the rule of "if it's still at the last expansion's max light level then I'm probably never going to pull this out" philosophy and that's my first wave of mass deleting things, which usually clears up quite a bit. Then it's a matter of looking for dupes.

I love these. Been playing for aaaages and I still learn a bunch of stuff.
On the note of recoil tho, bit of an extreme example. You are right, 90 is better than 65...but 85 is about as good as 90. (For those who dk) the 5 puts the recoil in the middle but higher number recoil direction means less sideways deviation from the number.
RE 77 - Accessing your vault through the terminal... actually can be super useful at times if you get a powerful drop of a weapon that you have a good roll for in your vault already but that is at a lower power than the new one, you can find the old one in your vault and infuse the new one from your inventory directly instead of having to actually pull the old one out of your vault first requiring two inventory spaces instead of one.
You should also apply this sorta rocket launcher knowledge to people who also utilize the Gunpowder Gamble aspect. But instead of standing in the way, it’s shooting at it the moment someone lets the dynamite fly. I’ve died too many times to members of my team deciding to shoot at my TNT stick the moment I want to throw it.
The bullet magnetism on it is very strong. They might be shooting it on accident.
Enemies shoot it too. I usually just use it like a sticky grenade from Halo. Lol
I have been taken out near a wall a few times when I thought it would provide cover, I was unaware of the effect. I appreciate you notifying us about it.
I have played Destiny 2 for a long time, and I never knew you could do stunts on the bikes
It was a must know in D1 because of the sparrow racing, but not many people know if they haven't played D1. Sparrows also had horns in D1 lol.
To go along with #5 , you can also suspend shriekers. It'd pretty funny doing it. You could also freeze them as well but not as funny
I just bought a new Xbox Series S after about 2 years of not having an xbox. I also bought a headset and a 2tb hard drive. I had to spend more $ to buy the expansions I didn't have for Destiny 2. So getting the final shape expansion would be a blessing.

Easily my favorite movement tech on Titan cuz activating your jet pack after a eager edge sword swipe sends you sailing across the map. I use it to yeet my self at the enemies then do a fist of havoc from above and it is super satisfying cuz you go flying through the air. This is the kind of thing Shaxx or Ikora would not be able to counter and would be mad as hell because I just stomped them with some out of the box nonsense.
The thing about the vault being obsolete is that third party apps especially like DIM sometimes shut down or even have a limit as to how many pieces you can transfer via the vault. I was making a build and couldn’t decide what weapons to use and DIM literally told me that I was transferring too much stuff and had to wait over a day.

That respawn one has come in very clutch over the years 😂 I've had teammates in nightfalls like "Damn.. guess we wiped.." then bam I spawn back in and book it for cover and just hide till they respawn

Having a stat tier that is below T3 actually increases the base cooldown. I just wanted to add that for everyone who didn't know ✌🏻
Destiny on the ROG Ally has been such a great experience! I get little to no latency issues. The only small issue I see with it is hearing a bit of lag when people talk...everything else is perfect

Adept counterbalance is 100% worth it on Adept Loaded Question for pvp. The decreased range is more than made up for by letting you potentially get up to 100 recoil direction. While it sounds counterintuitive, this will actually increase the distance that you can get 1 burst kills

CORRECTION: there are some weapons where Adept Counterbalance is 100% worth it like Messenger (Adept) and if you still have one around...Adept Duty Bound
nahhh man, losing that much range is a huge L
@ShadowDestiny no trust me it is far better. Plus it means you can go for FLUTED barrel instead for Messenger. A pulse rifle loses 0.85 meters with Adept Counterbalance for hipfire and that means for ADS, you lose 1.445 meters. Considering that High Impacts have high range at base, it really isn't that big of a deal for Pulse rifles losing out on a little bit of range. A 95 Recoil Direction weapon will feel substantially better than a 90 Recoil. Of course 100 Recoil Direction is KING for pulses, machine guns, auto rifles, scout rifles, Submachine guns, sidearms, Trace rifles. For handcannons its better for having 85 or 95 Recoil; 100 is nice tho but 85/95 is very good.
The weapon types that Recoil Direction have basically zero value in is bows, glaives, shotguns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers

6:50 If I remember correctly, they actually nerfed Sunbracers by removing its fastball at one point. Idk if it still is like that, but I remember it being like that for a short while.

For tip 66, I also like to use a "micro sprint", where I cancel the end of the reload animation with a short sprinting

Yo, to add to the hype of the ROG Ally, I bought mine in brisbane on deployment on the day it was released and got atleast 15 of my guys to get one also. We have played titles such as Borderlands 3, Deep Rock Galactic and GTA 4/5 with local wifi CO-op. It's a fucing amazing device that's good for long/short term use. Especially those that like soolo game titles such as God of War at High settings

Thought I was having deja vu at #66 only to realize #39 is the same tip. lol All-in-all, great video as always. #70 is definitely one of the more important ones imo. I wound up dismantling a god roll Fractethyst after hearing another UA-camr call it Fracteshit (and so I naturally assumed it was a bad gun), as a crucible main that's a big fan of precision frame shotties I really regret that now.

Here is something players need to stop doing for bows: NOT EQUIPPING RELOADER MODS.
For glaives, ALWAYS EQUIP 2 Lucent Blades mods.
They make them substantially better in performance overall in PvP and PvE

@@pecador_cont depends on the exotic used as 88 is still the current cap for reload on bows
@@pecador_cont I would really only recommend using 1, the bulk of the speed-up from Loader mods comes from the 0.85x Reload Duration Multiplier which doesn't increase if you stack 2 or more loader mods.

3 is based on mobility increasing the range of each jump through jump height
Adept counterbalance on a messenger with headseeker is actually a really good roll. Maybe on weapons that lack range it's not the best....

the amount of times in playing strikes and a warlock puts down there rift in the middle of the room when being hoarded by tons of enemies is crazy.
Depending on their build it may be entirely valid for them to do that. I personally do it a fair bit but not to heal, instead I'm using it to hoover up orbs to keep my mods/Wavesplitter powered up.
So here's the question I have with Surge Activity Modifiers: Do NPCs get a bonus to their outgoing damage? For example, if you have an Arc Surge and Arc threat activity, and are hit by a Wire Rifle, does it get benefits from both perks? Furthermore, if Linear Fusion Rifle Overcharge is in effect, are they also geting this bonus?

Tip 81 and the most important. This is just a game play it the way you want even if that is not “optimal” or “faster” or looks bad or weird to other players. It’s your game you don’t have to care about all this extra junk.
6:30 subjective. Maybe hearsay. But a few years ago someone went hyper deep into testing stats and weapons. Ending in 5 almost always outclasses just being a higher recoil number. Double so on mouse.
I could see certain archtypes of weapons having a little more leeway tho. Like pulses.
As someone who is dyspraxic (and a bow main), I pretty much always aim down sights but tend to use knucklehead radar quite a bit. However, I have started to hip fire bows more often

You've ruined my shortcut on the Mars: Battleground strike. I always loved popping up at the door before the people that were in front of me and seeing the confusion as to how I got there.
A mistake that ShadowDestiny apparently does all the time, judging from this video, is to actually move sideways on the moving walkway in Dares. If you get on it at the start, you literally never have to touch any button except forward and back and time the walk over, you'll move sideways as the bridge moves. Just time the walk so the paddles don't knock you off.
Good to know auto melee for shatter. I thought I was going insane when switching from well to shatter

Idk why but I seem to be able to shatterskate just fine with full auto melee on. there is zero difference to me.
I got my PC from ROG, and it works great. Haven’t had a problem with it in the 4 years I’ve had it. Really great machine, works great, so my guess is the ROG Ally is also good. Basically just a portable PC/console that’s smaller than a laptop. That’s pretty cool.

I'm not young and hyper anymore and struggling on everything 1800+ but loving the art and content of this game, I hope to over time get the expansion to see the full basic plot stuff at least
A bunch of non-intuative, quick benefit tips from experience and knowledge in this vid. GL all tip-top them numbers! ; p
The problem with the handheld thingamajig is, while it is convenient to play on the go, its rather small to be gaming d2 with.. grab a headset and a 24", or 27" monitor are the better options, plus more advanatgeous if you are of the competitive kind

If you go into the launcher backward it will actually guarantee that you make it through 100% of the time
@@ShadowDestiny Just an FYI, it isn't a guaranteed thing. Your framerate plays a part in how consistent, or inconsistent, it may be.

I bought my rog ally a few weeks ago. And I brought it on family road trip this last week.
I love your content because it actually helped me improve on my game play. Also I don't actually have money rn, but I want to know if I have to buy lightfall or the final shape to get the immortal smg and to also get an xp bonus
XP bonus is from season objectives and ghost perks
Set up 3 Ghost shells for 3 different loadouts. And remember to switch them before the activity.
This stopped making sense when Bungie removed the cost for swapping Ghost mods. Now you can just swap the mods out and not have to sink resources into masterworking more than one shell.

I've never understood the argument from devs of "gives us the problem not the solution" because for example overwatch devs know theres a support creep problem and they also prob now know that tank and support cant both feel good without one being broken and the other feeling like a puppet to the other or a pocket to the other.
This has to be common knowledge by now but the solution I would give them is to separate tank and support more, the same way paladins does, which is through the use of an in game passive all champs have called caut which lowers healing as the game progresses, this allows for them to put more utlity and dmg into the supports, while keeping supports ability to clutch heal tanks out of bad positioning like heals should do, not life line the tank through hell and back which in return reinforces the idea in the tanks head that they need a support pocket which then stunts the tanks learning in the game since last game he charged in like an idiot and got top stats and felt like a god but next game he has lucio zen and doesnt get life lined on heals, then runs in and feeds his brains out over an over.
In paladins its literally built into the game for tanks to see that they cant be healed out in the open while 5 enemies melt them, and this problem has been in overwatch since day one, only now without the offtank it really shows and most people are just telling the devs to go back to 6v6 or just complaining the game sucks cause tank sucks and support shouldnt be dps when the main problem for casuals and metal rank players in ow1 was they did feel like they never got to actually shoot at players as support which has always made support feel terrible in ow, but my solution is to add a new type or hp that receives less healing or even using an existing one like shield hp, which even if my solution isnt good, my solution is on the right path, as I even have evidence in the form of another hero based shooter that's made 5v5 work for years, and overwatch 100% should take notes from it as they're clearly struggling to make 5v5 work in their game which just gets them tons if hate as players tell them to turn the ship around and go back to 6v6 which now that's a bad solution as we went to 5v5 to solve a problem in the first place.
And while I'm new to destiny 2, I bet theres similar problems that high level players with lots of knowledge in many similar games may be able to point out, like I've played battleborn, tf2, paladins and overwatch all from the day they came out to the day another one replaced it or it got its servers shut down (I'm looking at you battleborn rip 😢) and I've hit at least gm in most of them besides tf2 which I never was the biggest fan of as I wasnt a big gamer at the time but it was what got me into overwatch and battleborn, I joined the game as these games came out so I think I have alot of knowledge that could help them at least look at new ideas, so that arguement is a cop out for devs that think their always right and dont wanna use feedback, because often times like I said the problem is being shouted in their face non stop so me joining in on that band wagon will never help, so the only feedback I have worth anything is the solution, or at least the path they gotta start exploring to find their own solution.

a few things.
one thing you didn't mention about sliding, as a titan you can use a shoulder charge/hammer strike/ shield bash immediately out of a slide and it makes you evade a bit of gunfire while setting up your melee. and it confuses the f out of people.
i notice you also didn't mention that fist of havoc as a roaming super does its first slam on activation so doing it behind cover can waste the first potential hit on an enemy.
like a minotaur, shooting the head off of a hobgoblin prevents them from using their invincibility shield. further more suppression grenades also disable those abilities too
as of march 2024 there are no more prime drops for destiny 2

Also on strafing, if you strafe in a circle (just roll your left thumbstick in a circle), snipers will always miss.
Alright so after all these years, I subscribed to now two destiny youtube content creators.. fallout plays no longer my one and only. Sure, the idea of maybe getting the final shape and groceries that month sounded nice.. but honestly, even if I missed that 90 day mark.. I like videos like this. I'll be watching more. Nice to see ones like doing the banshee bounties every day, which I at least make sure I do since it's rewards are vendor rank and cores , not simply XP. And the reviving ability during the wipe screen that I feel not many take advantage of.. I start spamming that revive button at 2 seconds even if there's no wipe yet lol.
One of the other tips this reminded me, which I been noticing during Iron Banner- that you may have covered in your other video- is people putting on Iron banner gear during IB for that 5 of 5 max boost.. When you can simply change your ornament to an IB one and keep using your MW good stat gear and it counts. Way to many do that! Anyway can't wait to watch more of your videos!

Regarding the PvE Surge modifiers
The elemental and weapon surges DO NOT STACK. So if it’s a Stasis surge and MG surge, Quillim’s will not get a 50% damage buff
if you don't want to cast an ability you can cancel the full reload animation with running. just tap w+shift and it's done
