Josh, They are that great in real life as well. We drive to pick up our chicks as we live close enough. This weekend is a customer appreciation day and they have all kinds of activities planned.

Stoney Ridge Farmer when you get the chance to make it up this way. Go a little farther to RedsKuneKunes some great people there as well. Just got a breeding pair of Kune Kunes from them. Now the wait... lol
I also use Meyer Hatchery. They are a bunch of great people and very helpful! I live about 45 minutes away from them, so I like to drive there myself to pick up my orders. They have a very nice facility.

15 Australorps pullets arrived this morning from Meyer Hatchery's. Thanks for suggestion as I was not familiar with them but thought I would give them a try.

I read the caption wrong at first and thought it said Moyer’s hatchery whichich is where I order our chicks from because they are so close to us
quick friendly tip here. when you order chicks have there beaks clipped as you can see in the last half of the video they pick at everything. if they pick at one another they will bleed and then its all over for the bloody chick and if that blood gets onto any other chicks its doom for them too. another thing that helps with the picking if you dont want to clip there beaks is a red heat lamp it will make them all red and they won't see any blood. thats not a perfect solution to the picking problem but it will help.
onelonleyfarmer I've never had my chicks beaks clipped, or any of my adults. If you give the chicks stuff to peck at you won't have a problem with that kind of stuff. Also don't over crowd them and you won't have that problem. I've raised many chicks and always make sure to give them plenty of room, and stuff to do. I make something like the "baby cakes" you can get at the feed store, also I give them weeds, mealworms, and scratch grains at a week old. Give them a nice big brooder and 2 red lights or "heat caves" and you won't have the pecking problem. That way the more submissive have a place away from the more dominant. Also keep their environment clean.
Meyer hatchery are one of the best and always include free chicks also, in my experience, the chicks are hardy and healthy.

Yep. I've bought a LOT of birds and Meyer Hatchery is da bomb. I'm out in Commiefornia. Takes at LEAST 3 days to get the birds. Their record keeping is AWESOME. After the second time I contacted them about stiff chicks on arrival, they started packing quite a few extra. Once, they even reshipped an ENTIRE order. NOBODY else would do that. That said, Murray McMurrary is a very close second.

Now for the comment that Wanted to tell you. Megan was a nice lady. The post office is great that's amazing you can ship birds in the mail express or priority mail . I listen. What I would really love is some reds . I suppose some chickens two chickens would be nice but for some reason when I eat eggs they upset my stomach and I end up on the toilet LOL Prairie dog.
