  • Hi everyone.... today’s recipe is a super soft raisin sweet bread .... I made 3 types of bread using this dough so, you can see large amount of dough in the video.... measurements which I have given is perfect to bake a loaf of bread... please follow the exact measurements and instructions given in the recipe video....happy baking.

    Ingredients :
    All purpose flour/maida : 3 cups/350 grams
    Butter : 30 grams/2 tablespoons
    Sugar : 1/4 cup/50 grams
    Yeast : 1 and 1/2 tea spoons
    Egg : 1
    Milk : 1/2 cup/125 ml and extra for kneading the dough
    Raisins/sultanas : 1/2 cup
    Salt : 1/4 tsp
    Baking time and temperature : 180 degrees Celsius for 35 minutes or until top turns into golden colour
    Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes
    My 1 cup measures 250ml
    Loaf pan size 8 by 5 inches

    Thanks for the recipe! Can you be more specific about how much extra milk you add on top of the 125ml during the kneading process. This is very important as it could change the final hydration considerably. I have doubled the quantities in your recipe, like you do in the video, however the dough even after I add some extra milk during the kneading process doesn't become as sticky as the one in your video. I am assuming I need to add more milk therefore. Can you estimate how much more you add? Thanks.

      Around 1/2 cup of milk for kneading the dough, will sure share exact measurements next time 😊

      @@shaziyasrecipes Thanks! This is about 120ml of extra milk. That's a lot of extra milk, yes please update if you can, I think I missed the first try I definitely didn't add that much more milk during kneading. I sure will not add the extra flour after the first rise. Will have to try again.

    wow looks amazing.will surely try...I have a query, the milk should be warm means how much time we need to microwave it 10 seconds or even less than that? last time my yeast did not activated...

    Twice my milk and two different yeasts did not activate Very sad .What's happening ? I even used a thermometer.With water it does activate .

      Yes, of course it activates with water... use instant yeast for best results
