Steak Experiment: Cooking Over Fire vs Reverse Sear
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 лип 2024
- Today we have another steak experiment. What is better the reverse sear method or cooking over fire? Why do we, meat-eaters, came out with so many rituals and complicated ways of cooking steaks? It is because we want to look sophisticated and distance ourselves from the primitive past or it is because it is better?
I truly hope you enjoy this video as much as we did. Like and subscribe for more!

I went camping with my dad as a kid and we cooked everything over a fire. I loved it so much that it remains my favourite all time way to cool.
So good mr ninja as always you always delivered!
You need more subscribers! This is great stuff
Very cool way of cooking. Great video!!!
I love you both. So much fun eating great steak. Thank you.
You know the Steak is good when it looks just as good raw as it does seared.
Im living that meat brother! Thanks!
I get it, it is close to the difference between sous vide and what anyone else would do
JC Denton approves of this message. That's all the information I need. Instant thumbs up.
Both steaks looks delicious ..... have a great weekend everyone and happy cooking
Happy cooking my brother!! 😀😀😀
Looks great brother. For me it depends on if I'm in the backyard or up camping as to how I cook them. I like both as well. Thanks. Keep up the great videos.
I’ve never done steaks over fire but I’ve cooked a lot of chicken leg quarters over an open fire. Literally like a camp fire and they always turn out awesome. Thank for another great video mr and mrs ninja.
Anything that the flames touches becomes amazing! The more I experiment with it the better it gets! Thank you so much! 😀
Great test and the both steaks are looking amazing and mouthwatering - love it 👍👍👍
Thanks brother! Give it a try and let me know! Remember to let those flames kiss the meat a bit and you'll love it! 😀😀😀
My mouth is watering they look amazing amazing amazing!!!! Don't get better then this brother love it love it!!!!!!!
Great video Ninja!
Thank you so much Kandy!!😀😀😀
Deeeeliiicious brother ! Great video!
Thank you Steven!!! 😀😀😀
Man, once you say if you made us hungry the answer is: yes you did. This presentation makes us real hungry brother (and sister!).
Parrilla is not exactly the tipe of grill we make down here in Brazil, but using the barbecue and improvising a little bit we can reach nice results. I have a lot of wood available (Eucalyptus and some native ones actually) and cooking whole pieces of beef over fire are so nice too. Tri tip, Flank, Brisket and some other cuts on skewers takes a little time (but produces great results). I'm learning a lot on grilling steaks over your channel and I'm excited with the results.
Keep that work better and better man!
Wow i miss this one. But i manage to see your methods man.
My tonight menu,
Love you guys
Be safe
Be safe Primo! 😀😀😀
Yo ninja! Those steaks look fantastic! We in my house always cook them as number B, I’m afraid to try the reverse sear without a thermometer... greetings from Mexico brother!
Brother! I'm loving number B more and more so you are in the right path! 😀😀 Thank you so much!
That’s what I’m talking about!! Beautiful thing... cooking over wood... the flavors cannot be beat!! I love it brother... excellent video as always!!! Cheers 🍻 👊🏼
Thanks my brother! 😀
I do both ways . But I like reversed seared . . Thank you love and watch all videos
Looks amazing. Have you ever cooked pork belly Ninja? I am going to try smoking it tomorrow for the 1st time.
I've done it many times in many ways! Smoked is one of my favorites! 😀😀
Muy buen experimento compadre!
Vamos a probar la técnica hoy mismo.
A COMEEEEER!!
Saludos desde Temuco, Chile!!
4:25 Love the presentation with the green sprinkles and the Armageddon music.😁 Saludos desde Puerto Rico Ninja!!
Awesome people, awesome video 👌🏼😊
Thank you so much Andy!! 😀😀
I like everything on and Over fire etc. its so good with the flavores 🤤
Have a awesome, fantastic weekend everyone. Looks yummy as always!!
HAHAH Thank you Tere! Have a great weekend too! 😀
Great results, I thought it might go that way, but you never know when it comes to the first method!
We loved it as there is more flavor and that crust!!! 😀😀😀 Thanks brother! 😀
This look Amazing and Delicious !
Thanks brother! 😀😀😀
Saludos!
Great vid, thanks. In winter I have a fire pit in the back yard every night and shovel the coals into the BBQ to cook. Always number B.
Love your videos, following since a while! A little coloring tip: hold back on the red/magenta tint, it makes food look less appetizing! And I'm sure it's delicious :)
Nice one again brother! I told you wood fired is the way to go!!! It's amazing!!!
Well well welllllll... Those steak looks deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious..
HAHAHHA It was DEEEELICIOUS brother! 😀😀😀😀
Great Video as usua)
Great video! I could not tell, but did one have more gray than the other?
Damm i like your shoots
Great content
Thanks Steven! 😀😀
Both steaks looked delicious but I’d probably prefer the fire cooked just because like you said it has the little burnt bits that give it so much flavour. Also I like duck Brest done medium rare have you done a video on it if not would be good to see. Cool post thanks
Time to go to the market now, to pick up some nice steaks for hubby and I. 🤦🏻♀️ The things i’m convinced to do lol
Much Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Much love brother!! 😀😀😀
This video look like " In theater nov 13" ....lol watched 3 time now. I like this
tender.juicy.crusty. great cook on the steak.
Man Its like you telling me a love story of cooking steak...the dedication and integrity ...the Devine devotion to it...jk let me stop but honestly. Love the video and looked delicious
Missed your videos. Hopefully, whenever I am in USA will come to your place to try foods and bring best meat as well
That would be awesome man! 😀😀
Youve gone rarer , since you cooking over wood. Awsome !
great video Ninja! that grill looks amazing! i like my gas grill but not enough power to cook a good steak so my supplement to make more flame is to dunk my steak in melted butter before the grill
That is a solution but give charcoal a try brother! You'll love it! 😀😀
Salty Tales definetly!
Have u tried meltique beef
Were you cooking on the Puma?
Ninja! Please make some Birria Tacos! Would love your take on it brother.
Man Those birria tacos are AWESOME!!! Coming up! 😀
Show us that grill bro!!! Me and a Colombian friend are wanting to build one similar!
Cooking over fire... Awesome. Now cooking OVER fire vs setting grate right onto coals? My PK grate is 2>3 inches above coals. What if...?
My last comment was long...all I had to say was cinematic. Great video
Sitting here before bed eating an Argentina Ribeye when I heard you say that these were Argentina Ribeye!
Ninja, I told you cooking with real wood is the very best! I'm so glad you decided to make the leap of faith and get the Nuke Delta. Now you got the A+ Game on my brother! XOXO` Luv you Guys and Gals!
great video. those steaks look really good. i like the amount of fat they have on them and how they are so tender to start they are almost pulling apart before you cook them
Those steaks are from Corte Argentino. I'm loving that meat brother! Amazing flavors and really good meat! 😀 Thanks brother!
My favorite way to cook direct is with some carne asada over mesquite wood lump. All you need is a fire salsita, lemon and tortilla!
Oh man! That's the way! 😀😀 thanks brother!
Cooking over fire FTW. You get nice smoke depending on the type of wood. My preference has always been red oak wood.
Could you make a video on how you separated from sve? Most of us are really curious to find out
Not really interested into getting into more details about that. It's been too long of the time to get into that now. In any case, do you like what we are doing here? That's all it matters.
I hope Ninja will apologize if I mind his business unsolicited. After the first moment of disbelief over the separation (it was like seeing Hardy without Laurel) the impression I got was that, at some point, two friends no longer agreed on how to make food and perhaps, after a nice fight, they decided to go two separate ways. I find it sad that neither of us wanted to give an explanation but, in the end, as a follower, I continue to follow them both: you can't not love them.
They are otherwise too nice. And good.
👋😬🇮🇹
Salty Tales, both of you are awesome!
Salty Tales yeah man i love your new videos
Salty Tales i hope you guys are on good terms
Yeah brother! I'm hungry! aaandddd sisters!
Deeeelishus! I love cooking on wood
Both look amazing but I'd go for Number B... I feel like Number A will give predictable results but Number B because it requires so much attention you can almost tune it to how you like it.
You hit the nail in the heat! always different and always delicious! Love your input!! 😀😀😀
Ninja! He estado muy desaparecido por trabajo. Por trabajo también tengo que ir a Miami. Cómo nos comunicamos para juntarnos?
Hey Ninja where’s the vodka and pepto bismol at??? 😅
Ninja, I loved the video. Great camera work but the music isn't right. It doesn't fit what you are videoing. Anyway a like what you are doing on your channel.
You need Food channel. Go finland and try different herrings (like mustard and tar.) Of course salmon etc.
HAHAHA That would be AWESOME!!! 😀😀😀 Thanks brother!
That show is a over the top but still good idea about some good food
You make me want to experiment with charcoal... thanks
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you D!!! 😀😀😀
Tomorrow I am receiving friends at home. And it is going to be a trip tip plus rib eye with the bone. I was going to reverse sear them, now after watching this, I am not sure 🤔...
If you have the rime to keep on working on it do it! If not just make it easy on you! 😀
It’s always drove me nuts that they say number a and b 😂 I feel like they know it’s letter a and b or number 1 and 2
But they do it on purpose 😂
joeykong94 It’s been a Ninja classic for years brother! As well as "DEEEEEEELICIOUS BROTHER!" :p
qcdoomqc I figured as much that they said it wrong at 1st then people pointed it out and they just stick with it
It is an old joke! We know how it should go! 😀😀😀😀
I think at first it was a language gap oopsie from Souvide Everything, but it stuck because they're just having fun and went with it just because it's funny and original. We all still know what they mean in the end.
Ur videos angles are better than... that guy.. dont quit... just one more year
First?
First baby! YAY!!!! 😀😀😀
