Steak Experiment: Cooking Over Fire vs Reverse Sear

  • Today we have another steak experiment. What is better the reverse sear method or cooking over fire? Why do we, meat-eaters, came out with so many rituals and complicated ways of cooking steaks? It is because we want to look sophisticated and distance ourselves from the primitive past or it is because it is better?

    I’ve never done steaks over fire but I’ve cooked a lot of chicken leg quarters over an open fire. Literally like a camp fire and they always turn out awesome. Thank for another great video mr and mrs ninja.

    Man, once you say if you made us hungry the answer is: yes you did. This presentation makes us real hungry brother (and sister!).
    Parrilla is not exactly the tipe of grill we make down here in Brazil, but using the barbecue and improvising a little bit we can reach nice results. I have a lot of wood available (Eucalyptus and some native ones actually) and cooking whole pieces of beef over fire are so nice too. Tri tip, Flank, Brisket and some other cuts on skewers takes a little time (but produces great results). I'm learning a lot on grilling steaks over your channel and I'm excited with the results.
    Keep that work better and better man!

    • @brifo5779
      @brifo5779 3 роки тому

      I hope Ninja will apologize if I mind his business unsolicited. After the first moment of disbelief over the separation (it was like seeing Hardy without Laurel) the impression I got was that, at some point, two friends no longer agreed on how to make food and perhaps, after a nice fight, they decided to go two separate ways. I find it sad that neither of us wanted to give an explanation but, in the end, as a follower, I continue to follow them both: you can't not love them.
      They are otherwise too nice. And good.
