Ok. I ordered mine last Sunday night from Ripp website and they got delivered on Tuesday, nice and fast. In time for this labor day install on my 2018 Charger GT AWD. Will report back once installed. Installed them today 9/5/20. It took less than an hour. Accessed coil packs by moving the intake manifold instead or removing it - much faster and less to undo. 1. Remove intake duct, install right 3 coil packs. Remove 2 nuts on left side, two nuts at back, the 13mm stud at back, 7 x 8mm bolts on intake, lift, pull to the right and swivel clockwise to gain access to the left 3 coil packs. Reinstall. Noticed an increase low end torque and faster acceleration overall. The 10HP gain is real. Best bang for your buck mod for $300. It was worth my time and money.
60k miles, I went ahead and changed the ignition coil for heck of it - baffled by the results, tremendous response improvement and performance. I find it so weird that ignition coil would make such a difference lol
The torque converter is still open and slipping at 2000rpm, thus data captured that low doesn't equate to anything of usefulness. How much power is made that low will continuously vary from run to run as the converter slips.

Hi there, this may seem like silly (or stupid) question, but seriously wondering if these would be compatible with the Pentastar 3.6L V6 from a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid?
Looks like these are a good product. But, given the MSD and Accel have a longer history of building coils, they claim 15% more power than stock while you say 10%, and they are less expensive, I'm unsure what I should buy. Of course supporting a smaller company like you guys is good too. And of course you have a dyno test and I don't think they do.
Thank you - we'd like to clear something up here, when MSD and Accel (which are both owned by one company and are both the same product but different colors) say they are 15% that's at one point and one RPM load. In our case we are 10% more powerful at Redline and 25% more powerful in comparison to the competition. That's why we are doing dyno tests to show the difference. Lastly, we manufacture our units in the same facility as many OE units for major manufacturers. The quality and warranty are second to none.
@@RIPPMODS Okay, cool. I guess I will get yours. I’ve read on forums people claiming that coil packs are “snake oil”, but, since you have dyno proof, I will go ahead and get yours! Thanks for your time. I have a question on one of your other products. The lower temp thermostat. I’m considering getting it. But, are there any disadvantages? What is the reason for the high temp of the OEM thermostat?
@@CaseAgainstFaith1 The RIPP Thermostat not only opens earlier than the OE, but also opens wider to let more coolant flow, ALL PROS. Cons would be in colder climates it could take slightly longer to warm up.
@@RIPPMODS Since it is closed while warming up, it shouldn’t take any longer to warm up, at least up to the 180 anyway. But I figure there must be a reason the OEM is higher temp. Maybe higher temp decreases emissions or improves mileage?
@@CaseAgainstFaith1 Sorry, not the engine coolant temp, but rather the heater core temps. Lower coolant temps can cause interior heat to come up to temp slower. Yes, higher engine temps are for emissions, however we've found our 180 not to interfere with these processes.
Please visit rippmods.com/products/ripp-high-performance-coil-packs for pricing. Additionally it's no different than stock coil replacements about an hour.
We've learned after much more dyno testing that the 87oct does not perform as well with the coils on the dyno. We recommend 89 and up. That first hit pings and costs us power.

I’m sure these are great but I’ve watched several testing videos and conducted other research and found that these aren’t really any better than Accel or Sultans of Spark and a few others. I’m not sure it’s worth paying more for your product when others work just as good and in some cases they worked slightly better. And their warranty is comparable to yours.

How much would the kit with install cost all said and done on a charger 3.6?
Please visit rippmods.com/products/ripp-high-performance-coil-packs for pricing. Additionally it's no different than stock coil replacements about an hour.
Im sure you heard this question but what about the 5.7 hemi
Working on it
Do the coils need to go to a specific spot 😅
yes, they replace the factory units
@@RIPPMODS so how do I know what coil pack goes where
@@Dirtyram5.7 there is no number spot - they are universal and can go in any spot.
looks like all the gains are above 3500RPM.
We've learned after much more dyno testing that the 87oct does not perform as well with the coils on the dyno. We recommend 89 and up. That first hit pings and costs us power.

Hello, check out this FAQ video ua-cam.com/video/ZS2yF9dAkkU/v-deo.html it covers this question and a few more
Did you have to re tune it once you put these in?
No tuning needed
Is the install easy? Is there a video that shows how to?
The installed follows the factory swap out, there are several end user video installs and testimonials. We do not have an install video.

RIPP Superchargers do I have to supercharge my v6 truck in order to buy those coil packs?
@@fat4laty72 No, the vehicle in this video is not supercharged. The gain was on a stock vehicle.

Oliver Alvarez I installed the ignition coils with NGK spark plugs on my stock 2014 jk and noticed the gain
Is there a list of certified installers in the US for your products?
Some are listed on our website www.rippmods.com it most local shops can handle our stuff. They are well engineered.
Will putting those in void the car factory warranty?
Warranty is determined by the dealer around the given circumstances. That said, we have no reported loss of warranty with these installed.
Please tell me you make them for 08 expedition 5.4 and if you have plugs ?
We do not

Will these work on a 14 grand caravan 3.6L?
Yes rippmods.myshopify.com/collections/spark-plugs-and-ignition/products/ripp-high-performance-coil-packs
Actually non were tested properly, we maintain ours put out more spark energy than the competitors at all times because we have benched them and they are simply weaker.
Who makes a good rocker arm for the 3.6
Please email tech@rippmods.com for more detailed information
Do you make this for the baby 3.6 the 3.2 v6
We do not currently support the FWD or transversal set ups.
How much torque did it gain
Just under 10ft/lbs but that's hard to capture in this graph.

What plugs do you recommend to run
We sell them on our site Iridium NGK stock gap for NA or .035 gap for Supercharged

Factory plugs are iridium, more than sufficient.
