Morello's unique approach to guitar playing combined with Zach 's lyrics combined to form one of the most important bands to come out of the early 90s, the last era/breath of greatness from American rock music. The bands that sprouted out from 88-93/94 really took things into new exciting directions and I'm glad I was just old enough to get to experience most of it live at various shows as the whole thing was happening/evolving. Ratm- wake up
Ratm-sleep now in the fire
I can't say how many times I've watched your reaction to this. It's so cool to see you become aware of and thoroughly enjoy this band. It happened to me in the 90's and RATM still is one of my elite bands. Love 'em.
Bulls on parade is one of the best songs of all time on one of the best albums of all time.
This band is iconic. They're about to do it one more time. Catch em' on the road in 2020.
Yeah, for $500 a ticket. Hardly the anti-capitalists they proclaimed to be...
So glad you understood the message and the music my dude! This is the stuff i grew up with. Reunion tour planned this year too! 2020
mad heat comin' out his mouth is exactly right. saw them 4 times back in the 90s
We've been fallowing this great rap-metal band for the last 25 years
Warning: may induce stank face
We need the RAGE BACK
Man, I love watching you discover new music! Keep it up brother!
I was in college when these guys were on top. Spreading the message. Love these guys!!! The Funkmasters from Harvard!
"I'm over here lookin' for a damn turntable."
π I love seeing people discover how insanely good RATM was seeing the wizardry of Tom Morello aka The Nightwatchmen.
Saving this for last. I'd also recommend the covers by Denzel Curry, and by Brass Against.
Big up on Brass Against they get vocalists that can toe to toe with Zack.
Sophia Uristas singing any Rage song is pure life.
Honestly I didn't like their cover. It's almost as bad as a jazzy version of Down with the Sickness. The original has a raw intensity you just can't recreate.
Denzel fucked the song.
@@JPindanga Denzel didn't care he was rocking the fuck out at the time.
I love you, bro. Keeping me sane in this quarantine. You're playing a lot of stuff that shaped my life, yes, in high school. This song in particular... I remember standing in my friend's room when I first heard it... It almost made me crap myself. The song starts so ferociously and suddenly. Hearing this song was what made me want to play guitar. It felt empowering, ya know? I wanted to wield that power to make people crap their pants, I guess.
Bro, I've been listening to Rage since the 90s but every time I hear them my reaction is just like yours. love it.
that opening and ending riff has to be one of the greatest of all time.
"that five sided fist of god..."
spitting truth and fire
Itβs five sided fist-a-gon. Itβs referencing The Pentagon, headquarters of the department of defense and US military industrial complex.
Tom Morello: World's biggest guitar nerd.
Brian May from Queen and Tom Scholz from Boston are definitely members of that same "guitar nerd' clique.
Also Joe Bonamassa
I believe Eddie Van Halen used to build some of his own guitars. Does he qualify?
@@alrivers2297 definitely up there, for sure
Nerd in other ways too -
Morello is a Harvard grad in political/social science.
Brian May is a PhD astrophysicist.
Greg Graffin of Bad Religion is a PhD scientist too.
Punk Rock Nerds!!
This is by far the BEST reaction channel on UA-cam...you're the man Jamal!!!
Thanks BROTHAππΎ
Jamal, Tom Morello invented funk metal and completely revolutionized how a guitar can be used. GOAT.
