Not only is it creative but he makes it sound soooooo damn good. I have held a guitar cable in my hand a million times and never once thought to do that.
What I find amazing about RATM is how so much sound came out of three musicians and one little guy screaming his lungs out. And they are incredible live.
Tom Morello (the guitarist, you may have seen him in Ironman, as one of the terrorists) is amazing. All of their songs were recorded live, and all the sounds were made with guitar, drums, bass, vocals. So yeah, he was stabbing that aux cord into his hand to get them sounds. RATM drops bombs and nothin else. A legendary band. Fun note, Tom Morello apologized just in case it was their hip-hop/metal style that influenced Limp Byzkit. He felt bad about that.
It's not an AUX cable, even though the contacts looks the same. It's a guitar cable, Tele cable. And yeah, guitar cables always make noise when you touch the end that is not plugged into the guitar. This combined with effect boxes makes cool sounds!

Here's something you may want to check out, it's pretty amazing! About four years ago a group of people wanted The Foo Fighters to perform in their small city of Cesena, Italy. They gathered 1000 musicians; singers, drummers and guitarists and "begged" the Foo Fighters to come by simultaneously playing the Foo Fighters hit "Learn To Fly". The video went viral, and three months later the Foo Fighters did play in Cesena. Since then the musicians, now known as the "Rockin1000" perform around the world. Here's the video that started in all (Note: after they play the organizer makes a rather long speech, you can stop it at 4:05) "Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters Rockin'1000 Official Video" ua-cam.com/video/JozAmXo2bDE/v-deo.html 7 minutes ago

ITS THEIR BEST PERFORMANCE EVER AND BEST OF THEIR LIVE SONGS EVER
The best part of this channel is getting to hear great music and see someone appreciate it from the first time.
I remember seeing Rage and Wu-Tang together in concert in Connecticut in like 1996 or 97, it was insane!! Crowd was lighting the bails of hay that were stacked as reinforcement for the steel barricade on FIRE and throwing them around the mosh pit!! Was CRAZY
Audioslave cochise bro these band members with the late great Chris Cornell singing
Tough to watch still, but excellent.
@@reemclaughlin4260 I'm a huge fan of Chris Cornell even got his signature tattooed on my wrist after he passed
Rage Against the Machine "Wake Up" please, please , asap!!!!!!
I've started watching your videos the last few days as you've reacted to some of my favorite songs and bands. The whole reason I've watched so many is because of your comments at the end of this video.
Oh Jamel, you bring me joy, brother. Yep. Tom was stabbing his hand with the guitar cable. Dude did/does a load of ridiculous stuff and made/makes it sound badass. Truly I love watching you experiencing RATM for the first time.
Here's the video that started in all (Note: after they play the organizer makes a rather long speech, you can stop it at 4:05)

“appreciating art... not about liking, more about learning” YES YES YES DUDE. HELL YES.
I look forward to all of your reactions. You have great wisdom and knowledge base that lends itself to a great shared experience with the music. Synergy and metaphysical experience is what keeps me intrigued with your videos 🙌🏾
There's almost NOTHING like a Rage crowd.
even if it's just on your own time, Live a L'Olympia Dream Brother by Jeff Buckley. one of the greats. he hits an unbelievable note. he was friends with Chris Cornell, and has been praised by everyone from his own heroes Robert Plant and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin to Brad Pitt.
YASS MORE JEFF BUCKLEY!! Greatest o all time. React to Grace live in Chicago or L'olympia. What will you say & Mojo Pin live att Glastonbury are also magic!
My man Zack is back!!! 🇲🇽 He has the Fire 🔥 inside of him!!! Love the whole band! Awesome!!
Your observations are spot on. Really enjoy your videos. It’s all about the art of the music, and the chance to learn. Hell yes!
Best video,
Greetings from Italy
You should definitely check out more tool and as a side note the lead singer of tool was on the song ( Know your enemy) with RTAM
You're my type of peeps man... from RATM to Dimash to Aurora! It IS the art! In so many forms.
Seeing this particular video of yours gave me the most chills! I was there! It was the 1st time since the 90s since they had performed ANYWHERE! WE ALL WENT CRAZY!!! THEYRE JUST SO LEGENDARY!!!!
Fistfull of steel live '93
Fun and scary fact: In 2010 here in Brazil , Zack had to ask the crowd to be careful and hold themself, because the crowd broke barricade and got basically on the stage. Brazilian people get the energy to a higher level hahahahahah
Not sure what the Brazilians have to do with it?! This footage was taken from the free concert in Finsbury Park, North London in 2010. Am I missing something??
@@16ozClawHammer Oh man, you are completely right. For a moment I just thought in the concert of 2010 here in Brazil. Thank you.
@@elieltondossantos697 Ha, I had to double check. I was at the said concert and couldn't remember any folk from Brazil! Either way - London or Rio - you know it's going to be a good one with RatM.
Tom Marello! The man, the Legend! Harvard education, and Rocks like no other!!!
Rage is a mix of punk, rap and metal in perfect harmony.
