//FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

The first one makes it so easy for me. Thank you so much 😊
You're welcome 😊
The first one was the easiest for me! Thank you so much!!
You are very welcome :)
I was taught method #2 by my Aunt. She always referred to it as the "knitter's slip knot", since that's where she learned it. She does both knitting and crocheting.
I learned from a woman who was trained in Germany and have always done type # 2. I basically just twist the yarn around the hook and pull through ... similar to your # 2.
💛☮️💚. I had never seen 1 or 3 done before until I started watching crochet videos!!!
@donacatanguma, thank you! Many years ago I was taught by my grandmother (who was not German), and it sounds like you start the same way I do: simply hold the working yarn in your left hand (if you're right-handed) as usual, insert the hook and twist it 'round counterclockwise, then yarn over and pull through. Super quick and easy, not as convoluted as these modern slip-knot techniques, IMHO. 😊
Have always used number one. It is nice to try other ways now and again for a change. Thanks for this.
Fun video! I know how you make yours from watching your videos but never saw the second method before. It amazes me just how many ways there are to make a slip knot! I change my method up every once in a while for variety! Thanks for sharing!
You're very welcome 🙂
😀
I learnt from you so it’s number 1 for me , I have seen the other ways but keep going back to your way , I’m too used to it now 💞🧶🥰
👍
I’m teaching a crochet class on March 7, 2024 and will be referencing your tutorials for many of the basics so thanks in advance 😉
I just want to say thank you so much, I've started making my granddaughter a blanket, i find your videos realty easy to follow.

I actually made it work. No other video helped me. 😊
Glad it helped :)
The slip knot is the reason why crocheting is hard for me. i saw this video, finally. method #3 was easier
Glad it was helpful :)
Very helpful thank you
You're welcome :)
thank u for an actual clear tut
You're welcome :)
Very useful and interesting video. I actually use method 3. A bit clumsy I assumed but it works ok. Instead of putting the yarn on the table I hold in my hand and thread through as shown in the video. I may well try the other methods now thank you :)
Thank you sooo much
You're welcome :)

You're very welcome 🙂
Good video! I’m definitely going to try these out!
Thank you 🙂
i am using different method :)
do you have video for a Link hat
I know a few ways of making a slip knot, but watching you makes it so complicated. These are just my thoughts on your video. Others might not think so.
@@taylorswiftleftlondon That's their opinion and they aren't being rude they're just stating their opinion, for what may not be complicated for you may be complicated for others
Can you just tie a knot on your hook or must it be a slip knot.
You have to make a slipknot, otherwise you risk all of your work coming undone 😊
@@bellacococrochet I've mastered the slipknot, now struggling with holding the wool to create proper tension.
bruh thank you- I crochet all the time but keep forgetting how to tie a knot.
You are very welcome :)
The first method works for me
Ok I now know how to make a slip not thanks! Now to try the square 😐😐😐
Just remember that crochet is practice and patience, if you find yourself getting frustrated put it down and walk away for a few hours or even try again the next day. Keep giving it a go and it will get easier. Good luck :)
Thanks
