  • Autodesk Maya 2018 - Stylized Skull Potion Modeling and Texturing Timelapse
    Learn how to make the Stylized Material here : gumroad.com/l/...
    This is the un-edited version of the speed modeling video. This is at real time speed which includes how it was modeled, textured, and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. I show all the settings I use for setting this up. Autodesk maya was used to model, zbrush for sculpting, and Substance Painter for texturing. It took about 1 Hour and 20 minutes to make the whole thing.

    This is good to remind everyone it takes time! Timelapses are satisfying, but realtime are needed to remind you just how long it can take in total sometimes.
    Love your work! Keep it up! I know you did one today, but I appreciate this longer video :D

    Great video as always. I've got a question. In 19:11 why do you choose the planar projection for the bone ? Why not the cilindrical ?

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  5 років тому

      I did that because I was going to unfold it anyways, but you can use a cylindrical projection as well.

    Hi, There is a part that I don't understand. Where do you click after 23:59 minutes? The part you cover the skeleton. This is my firts zbrush work. Amazing video thanks for that.

    • @3dextrude

      ctrl +shift click on the object to isolate it, same but in canvas to get everything back into view.

    What's the song you use ... im sick of getting copyright claimed.

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  5 років тому +1

      These are mostly from Yugioh gamecube game. There are some good soundtracks from old videogames you can use where you won't get copyright. The way to find out is to search for the music on youtube and see if youtube lists the author at the bottom, if the author is listed that means you will get copyright claim on it.

    Can you do a tutorial on how to make a smart material stylized (like this 3dEx_Stylized_Material)? I have substance painter 2017.3.3, so I can´t use your default material that you give us in a link. Thanks you.

    • @3dextrude

      I might, but no promises. Any reasons you haven't upgraded to at least 2017.4.2 ?

    • @guillewalls23
      @guillewalls23 6 років тому

      3dEx No, I haven't. Because my support of the program ended too earlier... and the next step is buy another license, but, at the moment I am not having money. Bad situation.
      So if you could to try to make the tutorial, you will become my hero.
