Kuja and Cloud: Getting along
Kefka: Sorry, we don’t do that here.
It is apparently clear that Kefka is more broken and further beyond redemption than Kuja.
I like Kuja's response to Cloud.
"We are far from being friends but I suppose I wish you the same."
Was decent and respectful for the villain that he is.
Like Golbez, Kuja had a redemption arc of sorts in his own game - he's the one who teleports your team out after the game's final boss.
@@JanusHoW tragedy
@@JanusHoW Yet Kefka just wants to see everyone suffer, including his "allies" to satiate his warped amusement. It's ironically laughable that he sees Cloud and Kuja as being pitiful, yet he was subjected to a far worse torment than both of them (and Sephiroth).
FF9 villain talking to FF7 protagonist to FF6 dungeon music...
Kefka announces his presence even before he shows up
@@SailorSetsuna7 He truly is an evil mastermind
Yeah but Kuja kinda pulled a Kefka in Disc 3 and 4.
@@dnmstarsi By that logic he pulled an Exdeath with his mastery over the Void.
@@raptorlewis273 It wouldn't surprise me. Kuja came from a Fantasy filled with throwbacks and allusions to past Fantasies so it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case. Especially when 9's Final Boss stole Exdeath's Grand Cross minus the warning dialogue.
Kuja is outrageously fantabulous
Flamboyant
I love him already-
For some reason I can see Kuja and Cloud at a normal bar to just talk philosophy.
Me too.
Or sitting in the back of a Starbucks. Kuja writing "the next Broadway classic" and Cloud just hanging out because none of his other friends really GET him when he gets into a brooding mood like Kuja does.
@@Ninetails2000 i know this is late but i SO want this to be canon now.
@@HighPhoenix1754 Water Cotton must of liked what he saw. That thong of Kuja!
@@HighPhoenix1754
I mean, I'm considering writing a fanfic that follows the life of Kuja, Sephiroth, and maaaaaybe Kefka with some of the heroes involved too, notably Cloud, Tifa, and Zidane
I like the way kuja speaks in dissidia i like his personality here too.
Shadow_Link Me too
Well he does watch a lot of theater.
I know, riight?!
hes good in dissda but ff9 hes evil as shit
DIssidia kuja is not a villain any more death and rebirth changed him
I actually like Kuja's voice in this game - it fits with his veneer of grace.
You can thank J.D. Cullum for that.
"The brood and the narcissist having a heart to heart"
hahaha whether its a villain or hero kefka shall insult them
thats not cloud, cloud was never brood or emo
@@michaeljames6737 He kinda became that in every single game after 7.
He calls Cecil a half baked cookie, then calls Golbez half baked too.
Not all Final Fantasy villains wanted a war, destruction, or battle. Some wants to end the battle for peace for the both sides. I remember once Golbez gave some words of encouragement to both sides.
Random List of Motivations!
Jecht: Wishes not only to get his son out of this war, but also to settle the dispute between them.
Kuja: In 12th cycle, wishes to end this tiresome, monotonous conflict, and has already settled differences with Zidane. In 13th cycle, memories tampered with, desperate to assert self-worth just as in his own world.
Ultimecia: Once again seeks to overcome the finite, mortal whiles of time itself by compressing it.
Sephiroth: First only concerned with regaining memory, then decides to fulfill his obligation of antagonizing Cloud. Deeper feelings on the matter remain unknown.
Kefka: Only sees meaning is giving things a painful, gruesome, hilarious end. Memories don't matter to him, but this changes when he loses his pawn Terra.
Exdeath: Desires for everything to become nothing, but isn't too fussed about actively making this happen. He figures everything is doomed to oblivion anyway, so he's just killing time till it does.
Golbez: Works tirelessly to allow his brother Cecil an escape from a cycle of conflict, a prison which he thinks only he himself deserves.
Cloud of Darkness: Desires to return everything to its base element, a perfectly balanced existence in which only one thing is. But defeat doesn't bother it; it will inevitably return when imbalance flares up again.
The Emperor: Seeks to enforce his own order upon a world that, in his eyes, is doomed if left to its own devices. But such thoughts seem all but shrouded by powerlust.
Garland: Dragged here from his own Garland/Chaos cycle by a "Great Will", and given the task of inciting this endless war in the first place. Believes that even if one cycles ends, he will simply enter a new cycle, willingly or not.
DenisK21 Well said!!!
@@DenisK21 uhh why is this ff10 to ff1 instead of ff1 to ff10
@@DenisK21 Don't forget Gilgamesh. All he wanted to do was reunite with Bartz to have a rematch and all Gabranth wanted out of the affair was to keep the warriors from both sides from falling into despair and disappearing prematurely.
Golbez isn’t really evil though
"But if you do nothing, your 'enemy' falls prey to one of the others. Can you live with that?" EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WITH KUJA AND ZIDANE LATER ON IN "KUJA'S INTENT". IRONIC.
"Those memories you have...I hope you manage to keep them." More irony.
Those who claimed that Sephiroth had the best hair in final fantasy clearly never heard of Kuja.
So true, when he went Trance in FF9, his hair became scarlet feathers- beat that Sephiroth!
Cylus O'Brady Well he also wears panties and no pants soooo
Kuja's hair is all messy. Sephiroth's hair is perfect
@@Killer_Kris7 I suppose you're the kind of person who would enjoy Sesshomaru over Inuyasha too, aren't you?
@@Ninetails2000 no
Check out Kuja, strutting around in that thong of his. So brave.
Will Yabsley UNLEASH THE BEAST *takes off thong*
lmao
GAZE UPON THE DINGALING OF A GOD!
Luckily he has that skirt otherwise we’d be seeing his royal asd
It takes true, unbridled confidence to throw on a thong, side-skirt, bolero jacket, and knee-high stiletto-boots look at yourself in the mirror and think "Yup, time to greet the day."
"What's this? The brooder and the narcissist having a heart-to-heart?"
What's this? An awesome clown being hilairious?
I like Kuja's voice in this.
It’s very funny how civil cloud is being considering Kuja and Sephiroth are basically the same person in backstory and goals.
Big difference when Kuja atleast also didn´t burn down his hometown and haunts him for the rest of his life.
@@emetanti No, but he did wind up nuking his home planet, so...
I’m surprised how you didn’t list Kuja’s silver hair as the greatest resemblance to Sephiroth. This is especially considering how Zidane and Kuja are the second gold-silver pairing after Cloud and Seph
@@theherohartmut but he didn’t nuke CLOUD’s home planet
Kuja immediately shows his back to cloud no fear at all and still gives him wisdom gotta love post ff9 kuja
the narcicist and the brooder, coulndt have saidit ay better myself XD, namley the brooder part
Boy people like you just can't wait to hear something negative about FF7 it's almost kind of funny if it didn't happen so many times.
TLMGRexis7 i'm only saying cloud is a brooder cause he basically is one in most games he appears in
Seirra Moon I'm sorry about jumping down your throat it's just being a Final Fantasy fan in general then suddenly 19 years randomly through my years of being a fan people do nothing but pass Cloud around like a prison bitch. It was funny at first but it gets kind of old. If someone has the balls to make fun of Kefka or...actually anyone else besides Squall, the only guy more of a brooder than Cloud. That would blow my fucking mind >.
TLMGRexis7 its np, im a fan of final fantasy myself havent really played that many of its games tbh but i can say kefka is the only one who just about everyone in the FF universe (9in the dissidia games) finds annoying XD
Seirra Moon Good point xD
Did Kuja just walk!?
Never played FF9? He walks all the time lol
I was actually talking just about this game...he always flew other times...just stood on the ground sometimes, but never walked.
did you play dissidia or at least played the story mode of the thirteenth cycle? he walks in every cutscene there. what catches my attention in this scene is how he lands and jumps heavily. in FF9 he always hovers with ease. in his victory pose in this game, he lands gently too.
3:14 behold the laugh.
Tried to imitate his FF6 laugh... And almost nailed it.
Kids: tHaTS SoNic.ExE's lAuGH
I actually really like kuja's voice and wording here.
It's funny because Kefka is far more narcissistic than Kuja but I guess the mark of a true narcissist is not knowing you're a narcissist.
Indeed, Kuja is more self conscious than Kefka.
Kefka is a Nihilist not a narcissist. He actively doesn't care about himself ultimately and is even willing to sacrifice himself to prove that life doesn't have meaning. He may be self important but he isn't a narcissist like Kuja.
This things makes me love Kuja even more as the best villain, not enough for being awesome in his own game, not being just the bad guy but he was his own antihero being selfish but only wanted to prove he wasnt a stupid tool, vessel or slave.
The way they portrayed Kuja in this game, was amazing, really like him
A wild Kuja appears!
And it is FAAAAABULOUS!
This is my favorite scene in the game. Kuja is my favorite character and I love his voice in this scene, I wish that the actor had done as good of a job in the rest of the game as he did here.
he's breaking the forth wall, talking to us
Kuja is poetic
I think he and Genesis would get along.
@@ZeldaLover6 crisis core Sephiroth would probably work with Angeal to try and prevent a meeting. :)
@@lynn740 Maybe they’d start their own book club.
@@ZeldaLover6 And drive their acquaintances insane, lol. Can you imagine them discussing Loveless and I Want to be Your Canary?
@@lynn740 😭 I’m sorry, to be honest I am not very familiar with the rest of the Final Fantasy games, just FF7’s compilation. So I don’t know anything about “I Want to be Your Canary”.
I like how the scene carries out like a play, on the set of the tantalus theater ship.
Kefka's soliloquy and his play within a play
You look like Jon Snow.
"So rich it gives me gas I say! And I...give it back."
LOL Kefka has the best dialogue in this game.
Kuja's rhyming makes sense literally
He rhymes? Didn’t notice
Eww... Kefka just passed gas... how attractive.
Now, now, wouldn't you highly agree that it came directly from the bottom of his heart? Well, one could argue that it came from the bottom of his stomach, but who are we to concern ourselves with such minuscule details, am I not right?
Raeyne Jaymeson Wtf
@@AniGaAG Just turn a stereotypical cartoon heart upside down and it looks pretty fitting to me.
@@impatienstheshmuck5348 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The gleam from that midriff is positively blinding
Kuja could give Marik a run for his money on most flamboyant man alive
Never played the Final Fantasy with Kefka, I just know he is crazy and powerful, so I was freaking out when he started teleporting.
I love how Kuja doesn’t want to fight anyone in this game, heck he saved two people from villains. This proves that Kuja is an evil fabulous hero? Or something??
Kuja and Vayne are only villains who are willing to take side with the heroes for different reasons, Golbez does not really count as a villain and Ardyn was done dirty by the gods have no reason to be "good" after what happend.
@@bahamutShin ah, I see.
@@frillydress what I said it's pretty much based on Dissidia Opera Omnia:
ua-cam.com/video/8yHD5ZSzQf4/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/QaApQMvL74k/v-deo.html
Kuja always seems to have a neutral roll on these games, and Vayne at the end of act 2 is helping the heroes side.
Kefka is so generous, he always gives it back!
I've never seen cloud so intrigued by a conversation other than this
To all FF6 Fans
Is this how you have imagined Kefka talk and laugh?
+DarkSilV Yes. On the FFVI game, it just has a "sound effect" for Kefka's Laugh.
He sounds vaguely like Mark Hamil's Joker so, pretty much.
I envisioned him being more shrill and raspy myself, but this is pretty good.
2:41 They way he said "This. Won't. Do." would have been enough to make me leave.
얀얼 Je pense comme vous!! Il suis devenu très meilleur dans le Dissidia de PS4 où il a finalement rencontré Terra avec Zidane!
I don't like how pretty kuja is..... He's freaking gorgeous dang it
Kefkas laugh at the end resembles his FF6 laugh, I guess thats what it was originally intended to sound like
Wonder how Cloud would react if he knew the horrors Kuja willingly instigated...
Yeah imagine Cloud learning about Vivi's fate
When Kefka calls Kuja a narcissist, pot meet kettle
the kefka that appears in dissidia is the version after he destroyed the warring triad. so he already has enough magic to be a god so blinking randomly like that is very possible for him.
Kuja said "bitches do what you want, I'm kicking back and relaxing, be sure to put up a good show"
Isn't that FF6 music playing in the background? Darill's tomb?
+thr3351 Yes, It is music from FFVI. However, it is the Cave Theme (some places) or is known as The Phantom Forest.
Did Kefka just farted right now??
Well I expect that from him since he's The Joker of the FF series but still....ewww
And Kefka stated that this would make him break the record time in farting.
Does anybody else noticed that Kefka's voice actor was also a voice of Yazoo from FFVII Advent Children?
Are you still alive?? You have a Riku as your profile picture.. so are you??
Yup. I'm still here.
Kefka was hands-down the best part of that scene...
They seem to get along. This was an interesting cutscene. :)
Kuja and Cloud? Eh, I ship it
Personally, I ship Kuja with Zidane and I also ship Kuja with Sephiroth which is a bit coincidental since I also ship Cloud with Sephiroth.

Kuja being a pretty cool dude.
Kuja's voice sounds like Yazoo from FFVII: Advent Children Complete.
Actually, the voice actor of Kefka happens to also be the voice of Yazoo from FFVII Advent Children
JD Cullum is the PERFECT Kuja voice
Cloud - Sulking as usual.
Kuja - Wants to have Cloud's babies
Kefka - FF's version of the Joker.
All in all, I say its a good cutscene
that face kefka does at the end cracks me up
Kefka is Such a Great Villain
Kefka is the FF equivalent of the Joker.
Kefka rules.Nuff said
who knew kuja could actually can be nice :O
that music, it is the haunted forest from ff6
To think these two are just 3 years apart in age…
To think Kuja is the older one…
3:13 and Kefka's gas was revealed
It's like watching a play
@danny5357 that design is the original outfit for kefka.
I was SO hoping FFT characters would be in this, Ramza at the very least. We can always hope for the next one.
i love how kefka acted...
Dissidia 012 maked me fall in love with kuja :P that guy is so awesome
and his report is sad :(
kefka's alliterative wrath.
Gives you gas......
Lovely.
"Mystic Forest" from Final Fantasy VI
@CrimsonVermillioneye Not just the emperor, but Garland too, he's a warrior with infinite lives
I have a feeling Zack would be annoyed by Kuja since he’s similar to genesis
@supershadow125 I like your idea. What about Genesis and Angeal? Do you think they could get in at all? (not familiar with Before Crisis, going to have to check that one out soon).
Sephiroth was ALWAYS able to fly. All throughout the game, he'd escape your grasp, by flying off. Although none of the others had the ability in their respective games, to my knowledge.
Kuja has no right to be so flamboyant
Kefka tried so hard not to Joker laugh.
The plot never said otherwise, barring his time before being dropped into the Lifestream. After that, he has always been readily able to fly.
Oh, this is rich... so rich it gives me gas! Gives me gas, I say! And I give it back.
Koojiekoo LOL
On clouds voice actor you can hear a New Jersey accent
I don't recall him flying in the original game. Except of course in his god form, but only because that form has wings.
I have to agree
Kuja and genesis will get along if they met in a different universe
@Kellox17 Don't forget he hangs out with dark could a lot to. Also when you only have two girls on a team of about twelve wouldn't it make sense that you'd be hanging out with another guy. I mean it's a one in six chance after all. And the most likely reason is that unlike the other bad guys kuja doesn't really know what he wants to do. That means kefka can control him and mess with his mind like he does in another report.
I finished this game, but never saw this clip... what the hell? O.O
kefka's trolling
Now we know what gives Kefka gas!! O__O
yeah D:
I'm still sad over that they didn't took in Locke D:
What the Cthulu did I just watch...
A Square game.
Give kefka back
the answer is kefka
@SilverIceDragon LOL no Yazoo's voice is actually KEFKA lolololololol
A character from Final Fantasy VII talking to a character from Final Fantasy IX over music from Final Fantasy VI.
@GabbzBaybee I wonder how Cloud went to the the side of Chaos. I want to see that story in the 11th cycle, and have it involve Aerith and Zack Fair. Ha ha, and if they want to parallel Sephiroth's original story, he would have had to be on Cosmos's side at one point or another, right? XD
Kuja makes a real good point. I can't really see someone like Sephiroth's motivation for being Chaos's attack dog in such a meaningless conflict.
