Dissidia Duodecim - Why Kefka is the only good character
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- In a stream of "hurr durr friendship wins the day" and morale lessons you'd find on a kids show, Kefka comes to save the day.
No your speakers aren't broken. RemoteJoyLite likes to add a buzzing noise.
It was pretty amusing to see that most of the other bad guys treated Kuja like crap due to his age and possibly because they knew he sort of wasn't evilevil like them. But Kefka enjoyed hanging out with him and tricking him for the amusement even playing along with Kuja's theater -style of doing things, and giving him silly nicknames and at the same time he regarded Sephiroth as overrated and boring

Kefka has my thoughts exactly about Sephiroth.
It’s sad since Kuja tries to defect but gets backed into a corner by Kefka.
Sephiroth IS boring and overratted, though this is kind of funny considering how VI fans and IX fans kinda stick together
@@kris6038 are 6 and 9 fans close? I'm a big 6 fan but I don't know that much about 9 other than some boss fights and the final boss
Kefka and Kuja need their own sitcom. They make a great comedy duo, and the best part is that Kuja gets to be the straight man
Straight?
@@yuyaricachimuel555 ironic, right?
@@WanderingNerd21 man??
@@yuyaricachimuel555 Kefka Palazzo and his lesbian girlfriend
@@lowhp_comic ehh not exactly accurate :P unless Kuja was shipped with Terra probably
Kuja's voice fits him so well.
I always thought so too! Effeminate, sarcastic, yet elegant and poetic. It actually sounds allot like what I pictured for him when I first played 9.
***** I was going for cocky and effeminate yet poetic. But wussy as hell works too! lol

ua-cam.com/video/8WpworaZd_Q/v-deo.html
It’s very sassy
And sussy
Fun fact: Kujaku is the Japanese word for Peacock, a rather show-offish bird.
So, Kefka's line could be a stealthy pun.
Who here would like to see a fully HD FF6 remake?
Me! I would die to play a full FF6 remake!
+LordMalice6d9 I have never played FF6 , my favorite game of all time is FF7
but I would really love to see FF6 remade due to the interesting characters and Story which the reason why I love FF7
There are two vocal fans For FF Series , and those are FF7 and FF6 fans
I don't know ,but I feel like I am connected to FF6 because of the Fans
Me
I want a 3D FF6 remake and a 2D FF7 remake. Mix that shiz up!
*PLEEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEE!!!!!!* ;(
(Sorry, I got carried away.)
Good Guy Kefka:
>Makes fun of everyone on a daily basis.
>Doesn't make fun of Kuja for looking like a girl.
kefka is THE chad
He doesn't look "like a girl", don't be such a dick.
@@hrennvpalto He actually does, even in-universe. In IX one character straight up insults him by calling him a girly-face.
Kuja is just a beautiful boy!!♡
Funny enough tho when kuja pissed kefka so much by breaking terra's mind control he cursed Him and his "Black Thong" lmao
I just love how Kefka moves. It's kinda adorable, if it weren't for the fact that he only wishes to kill you in the most painful way possible. :°D
It's why people associate him with Joker: he can act very whimsical and funny with some spells of violent psychopathy to remind us he's not a harmless jester
@@lowhp_comic Lol, 1:57 that’s makes him Final Fantasy Joker
We all love kefka.
Terra: Stop messing around!
Kefka: Sorry ma'am.
1:20 dying seeing that in the background

Kujie-coo hahahahaa Oh these two would make a brilliant double act! Love Kefka annoying Kuja ^_^
Some one should seriously make a sit-com with those two living in a house or something, that'd be perfect!
@@DiscoBolante Agreed like a Big Brother Final Fantasy edition and the best acts would be Kefka and Kuja or Sephiroth and Cloud!!♡

They should of shown more of Kuja and Kefka's rivalry. They're really entertaining
There is some seriously good voice actors in this game.
"Let me speak super pretentiously as to why I do things my way."
Kefka: "Pls? :3"
His tiptoeing slays me every time.

what isn't shown in this vid is how it got to this point: Kuja interfered with Kefka's plans to use Terra because Kuja wants to help the warriors of light, so Kefka was holding a grudge. To get even, Kefka lures Kuja into a fight with Lightning, shown here, knowing that Kuja would lose. When Kuja "dies," he loses his memories and essentially gets to be reprogrammed by Kefka to be more of use to his cause. that's why he was so eager to have Kuja fight.
Okay but Kuja's quip at the end was pretty legendary.
Kefka provides the 6
Kuja provides the 9
:^)
No
"oooooooooooooh my" ~progressive book
69?
Llllllol.
I provided the last like for the 69. :P
The joker of square.
Except the joker had more depth and an actual back story, and was more subtle, although in Dissidia all the characters are pretty much Flanderizations and the games are pretty much non-canon fan service.
+Jason Sacuta Actually, Kefka has pretty much the same backstory as the Joker does. Science drove him nuts (although it was magic-science)
+Jason Sacuta Well technically, the Joker doesn't have an "actual bacstory", he has a "multiple choice" one.
No its confirmed the red hood fell into the pool of chemicals and became joker.
@@Zelink108 See Trope Talk: Pure Evil.
two of my favorite final fantasy villains together. hating each other yet cooperating (sort of). dissidia made me happy to see these two interact a lot.
Also, whoever voices Kefka is a raw talented actor.
Kefka's antics are even better when you compare what he accomplished in six with what all the other villains did in their games.
Yeah it's true. In FF6 Kefka wasn't trying to make jokes, he was just naturally hilarious.
"They seem to be carbon copies of us" No that's Lightning... she's standing in front of you.
Oran Morton What do you mean by that?
Evelyn L. She has no emotions
I think he's referring to Lightning as a carbon copy of Cloud.
Heh.
Fuck you haters
VA Director: Just do your best Joker.
And so video games were saved forever.
Lighting: (Bored) Can we fight now?
Kuja: Son of a--yes!
YES A TEAMFOURSTAR REFERENCE
the problem is that square enix,(not squaresoft) has some dificult at writing diffrent characters, so everyone except for kefka talk like a monk, there needs to be only one monk and other personalities to interact with him, at least kefka is not screwd up
+GUAXINIM ACANALHADO That's what I liked about FFX. There was variation.
exactly ^

I read "Oh God, not this shit again" from Kuja's face during this.
That tip toeing gets me everytime. Kefka is so damn entertaining.
Just when my life was getting worse, Kefka jumps in and saves the day.
same
Good Guy Kuja
-Calls out Kefka for being annoying and never shutting up
-Doesn't do the same for Sephiroth
Kuja is actually my favorite antagonist in the whole series. He is so damn unique and awesome. Kefka is probably second though.
How is he unique when he's just an archetype?
+Kanny Boy HERE HERE!!
+Vaati Minish Except that he's the most humanized and sympathetic antagonist in the series. If you're just judging by Dissidia, sure, but FF9 as a whole as some of, if not the best character development in the series.
Oh god did I actually say this? I'm so ashamed, now adays I don't just suck up to popular opinions. Kefka sucks lol, he's one of the most boring and generic antagonists in the series. I adore Kuja still but Kefka not one bit. The Emperor and Garland are indeed awesome.
+Kanny Boy Kefka is better, though.
The two most flamboyant and androgenous villains in the FF series together having their own sitcom? Sounds like an even gayer version of Two And a Half Men.
Kujie-coo XDXDXDXD Nice nickname for Kuja XDXDXDXD
"I ll show you how lightning strikes!"
1:44 I always laugh when I see him turn around like that.
I don't know man, Laguna was a fun character too... he wasn't such a stick-in-the-mud as the others...
Kujas one line at the end there was more thrilling than anything FF13 had to offer in villianry
Watching Kefka stealth-mentor Kuja while the rest of the villains treated him like a kid was really the best part of this game's interactions. I like Dissidia and like watching the characters riff off each other but the heroes walking around in circles giving each other dull moral lectures made my brain melt out my ear. These two were the most fun to see.
I'm not sure if "stealth mentoring" is preferable to being treated as a kid, since it ends with death and a fake memory brainwash for the next cycle of battles ;)
This is Kefka we're talking about, it's still better than he treats everyone else XD
Haha, I guess : D
I like his lines in the end of 013, after be defeated: Why Create if it would be destroyed? Why to live knowing you going to die... And all the rest. Its simply epic :3
I would love a gif of Kefka doing that run from 1:20 to 1:22...so hilarious
Yup, the Kuja and the Homunculi are really similar,.
But FMA was published in '01 and FF9 in '99 so it could very easily be the other way around.
WOOT! Kefka and Kuja. Awesome villians.
he calls him kuji-koo because Kuja is the youngest villain. (Kuja isnt as old as he looks.)
i like to see these guys interact with each otherx villains talking to each other is fun to watch
What the hell is that buzzing sound?
Probably the recorder
Might watch this series..

1:21 Awesome walk. Imma do that.
Kujie-coo... x'D
kefka is awsome and all, but how can anyone deny kuja got poetic there at the end
Lightning seems to be developing a habit of popping into random universes and doing some bad goddesses dirty work..
Yep.
Why waste good talent?
i like this adaptation of kefka, and he actualy did say some weird insults in ff6.
(son of a submariner! Xd)
Almost looked like Kefka was about to stab Kujie in the back just for fun.
Could have been a realistic outcome
kefkas walk at 1:20 xD
Has anyone else wondered why Kuja’s torso is so small? Like, disproportionately small compared to the rest of his bodies and other characters.
To go even further, Kuja was created as an adult, he didn't go through child hood, which is why he's so immature and self absorbed
For some reason that didn't work with Garland's plan, possibly because he foresaw that Kuja would betray him or because Kuja found too much pleasure in cause war and death and which would get everyone on Gaia killed, meaning there would be no next generation and Garland wouldn't be able to harvest souls any more (or until life sparked anew)
Sounds like someone left their car running in the background.
That's Liara's voice.
I know right, only played FFXIII recently and wen Lighting opened her mouth I was like "Wtf Liara, you are so obsessed with me you have to follow me into another game?" lol
Kefka and Kuja are my only two braincells
I kind of like Kefka. Not only is he flat out hilarious, but he also makes it even more satisfying to pound on him, and his philosophy makes a bit of sense in a twisted way.
No Kuja wanted to blow up the world cause he found out that
*SPOILERS FROM 1999*
his creator, named Garland, gave him a life span as both Kuja and Zidane are both artificial, homunculi-like beings called Genomes (Zidane being unaware until late game) from the Planet Gaia's 2nd moon Terra (like Cecil and Golbez)
But instead of living peacefully, the plan was to send Kuja and Zidane to cause war, as death releases the souls Garland needs to revive the people of Terra.
Heh heh, Kujie-coo.
Kefka: Well Kujie-coo ... It looks like now the time to show us what you can do
Kuja: Shut up Kefka you don't need to say that "I'ts time to show me what I can do" This is not my first match for God Sake..And another thing stop calling me Kujie-coo..your making look gay.
"
i didnt think there would be someone who would outclass joker from batman
boy was i wrong when i saw this cutscene
i think Kefka and Kuja were paired up so much because they reflect the "rubber face of comedy" and the "clay face of tragedy." ironically, Kefka dies tragically, because he realizes how empty his life has been and destroys himself, while Kuja dies happily, because he makes amends with Zidane
Kefka + Dissidia= The ULTIMATE TROLL
Kefka is basically doing a Genie impression :)
I love Kefka. He's like a Disney Villain.
You got a point there. I really liked that part.
Kuja laments how far he's fallen that Kefka is his only ally.
Kefka - The Magical Clown:
Hobbies: Poisoning lakes, stealing god-like powers, making wisecracks, world domination, brainwashing, and making up awesome ways to move around(1:21)
Kuja shoulda accidentally called kefka zorn or thron that woulda been funny as shit
@GoldenJoe It's because in Dissidia he's more faithful to his original Japanese incarnation, proving that changing things for foreign audiences can definitely be a good thing.
''Will you not stop talking?''
''It gives me a headache every time you open that mouth of yours.''
Agreed Kuja...agreed...
OH, and Kefka also knew of Kuja's helping the warriors of light, so he tried to get the other villains to witness the helping. Kuja, thinking quickly, played along with the plan and attacked the light warriors, but he let them get away "accidentally." This is why Kefka is so upset with Kuja. He still intends on killing everyone, but he sees his revenge and the use in a reborn puppet-Kuja (like the black mages... O.o ).
@KazekageKidd I think Kefka and Kuja compliment each other quite nicely. It seemed so appriopriate to pair these two together.
Lightning with no sky in which to hide...
No choice now but to fulfill your destiny... and fall.
True. They even bare a resemblance to Dragon Ball Z, what with the tails and hairy transformations. I even heard that they were inspired by the idea of saiyans, but I'm not entirely sure. At any rate, they are pretty cool concepts, inspired or visa versa.
kefka is probably based on Joker. If Mark Hamill would have done Kefka's voice, it would have been a instant nerdgasm.
@MayorAmazing if such conversation would exist i can already imagine it:
sephiroth and ultimecia are quiet most of the time, while kefka is making fun of them all or the heroes while exdeath tries to convince everyone of using the void and cloud of darkness agrees with him but garland secretely makes a plan with the emperor and kuja but kefka overhears it and talks about it with...i don´t know...maybe ultimecia and seph? haha
Come to think of it, I don't even think Kefka is capable of that sort of thinking.
Oh, the voice actor. That would be Dave Wittenberg. Look him up on wikipedia. Im certain you'll recognize at least one of the roles he's been in :)
1:05 And so he begins.
Volume balance, I had to turn up my speakers 200% to even start hearing this video. Check it up next time.
Laguna:they look like carbon copies of us
Vaan:no shit sherlock
Actually... Lightning goes up to the clouds, scientifically speaking, the charged positive and negative atoms make it so that the bolt goes up to the sky, it's just so fast that you don't know which direction it comes from.
Translation: Kuja loses.
Zidane was created to take Kuja's place, so Garland made him as a child and sent to be raised on Gaia so he would have the decency not to look at everyone as toys to played with and wouldn't through an omni-cidal temper tantrum.
Considering the vast majority of villains are ancient, he doesn't have much going for him anyway.
Being a snob isn't cool, and someone already explained that lightning notoriously strikes down from the sky. If you can't take that for what it is, that's no skin off my bones, but your incorrect.
my favorite is sephiroth next is kelfka (both have awesome intros though XD)
He seems different then the first Dissidia...I'm not sure why but Kefka just seems more conniving in this. In the first it was "Torment Terra so I can destory! Destroy this! Destory that!"
In this one it is "Use the, I am a fool farce to trick even my partners in to believing me!" We saw what he does to Kuja. Pretty sneaky if you ask me!
Everything Kefka says and does is designed to annoy the person its directed at. Its tailored to their personality. The only thing Kefka wants more than to destroy everyone and everything, is to have others help him do so. Since Kefka will destroy himself as well, he sees no good reason not to taunt those who can cause destruction.
:D and he's really good at it.
She went full on Liara in Dissidia.
they really need to remake the good oldies of 7 8 and 9
What about 5 and 6? (Especially 5)
Falkenhorst2000 Storyline-wise, 5 was great. The only two things I didn't like was how they overpriced everything and gave you little to no clue as to where to go next to progress the story. Hell, 2 was more insightful than that!
Falkenhorst2000 they already made remakes of those as well as remakes of 10 and 10-2 so I believe it time for square to stop messing around and remake 7,8, and 9
finalfantasylord1 Ikr?
Gulyabani
I'd rather mark hamil voice kefka as a reference to joker
Lightning hits the ground all the time. Last I checked, the ground is below the sky, meaning down. I'm not saying it doesn't go through the sky, it does that too, but I've never heard of a bolt of lightning fly from the ground into the sky. and I'm not belittling him. He acted like a snob, so I called him a snob. I thought he was wrong, I told him he was wrong. How am I looking down on him?
Play one of the reports where shantotto fights gaberanth, win it and you should see another scene with shantotto talking to prishe, then go to your PP catalog and buy her.
Remember this is the only decent voiced Kekfa representation we have, until SE decides to remake FF6
So in love with the dialogue between kefka and kuja lol all ways gives me a good laugh :)
erm... Kuja, lightning actually goes UP. Just the fun fact of the day
that last line was FIRE
Kefka: well kuji-koo
Kuja: what?
Kefka: (farts)
kuja: i do not take bad gas from you kefka
So in short, his origin wasn't unlike the Homunculi from full metal alchemist. Not exact, but not unsimilar.
