Cloud had a crush on Tifa all throughout their childhood. That was why he said he would always protect her and one of the reasons he wanted to become a SOLDIER.
i think you meant another guy first name no, last name shit sherlock
@@b.s.productions4575 I waited six years for your reply.
@@ARiddle1986 well you got it
@@b.s.productions4575 I am honored.
@@ARiddle1986 damn must’ve felt good to get that reply
This is so sad... Especially when you pay attention to Cloud's body language. Heck, even Tifa's to an extent. Cloud does not look at Tifa at all (Maybe indirectly) in the scene. Tifa's eyes widen at Cloud's name and Cloud stiffens at the comment of "a hero saving the girl". You can even tell that Tifa is upset when Cloud says he doesn't know her. They've both got body language to support their emotions. A well done scene.
I liked the story in dissidia because in FF7. Cloud is guilt with A and Z's death and couldn't forgive himself in advent. In this one, it's like showing what if 'tifa died' unlike A's death he is not driven by guilt and he misses her like crazy in Cycle 13. Questioning his reasons to fight because he feels in his heart that he just lost the person most important to him in the previous cycle.
"You were like a hero-" Cloud loses his breath for a moment "-charging in to save the girl"
WHY THIS MAKES ME WANNA CRY SO HARD?!
Cloud and his beautiful tragedy.
OMG!!!! i LOOOOOOVE Cloud's thoughts in the end!!!! he DOES remember her completely and he's MORE in love with her!!!!! Cloti i ADORE u!!!!!
So y'all obviously haven't played FFVII, but here's why he's sulky: *SPOILERS*
In FFVII, Cloud loses some of his memories, and Tifa is the one who helps him put all of the pieces back together. She is his anchor.
In this, Tifa is the one who has lost her memory. The tables have turned. And now they're being forced to fight each other by powers beyond their control.
Like come on, that's his woman, of course he's sulky.
You obviously have not really played ff7. Aerith is the one who genuinely wanted to help cloud because of her she helped Tifa father cloud's memories together while Tifa throughout the majority of the game tried forcing cloud to believe he was a soldier and despairingly denied the truth which messed up her fantasy version of him that he was not. In short, Tifa LOVED the "Zack persona" in Cloud while Aerith told players time and time again she was over Zack and loved cloud for who he was and not something she wanted him to be which was Tifa's case. So no Tifa was far from being cloud's rock I suggest you play the game the right way and try to pay attention the characters and scenes.
Cloud is depressed because sephiroth killed the woman he loved if you really played the game then you would know that already.
Thank you! Jesus fucks sake I know damn well I played the game and I know damn well how Cloud felt about both ladies. Where the fuck does anyone get off on saying he ONLY loved one over the other?
I know a person who's only seen Advent children and hasn't played a single FF7 game. She compared Cloud to Edward Cullen. I died a thousand deaths.
dolebiscuit
👍🏻Preach, dude! Plus Cloud reacted badly from the Mako poisoning and had all kinds of PTSD and memory loss.
Lol I love how they put Sephiroth on the same team as Cloud and of course they just had to put Tifa on the opposite one...
ohmagurrd y ar u hear ;(((((((
I love people like you on UA-cam.
At the start of every conflict, Shinryu wipes out their memories because he wants them to show no mercy. Cloud changed sides because he didn't want to fight Tifa.
Agreed. I can understand Cloud thinking he loved Aeris when he was all confused in the head but after it gets cleared up Cloud and Tifa all the way!
I really like this cut-scene because even they can't remember each other Cloud always come back for Tifa .No matter what because they promise each other since a childhood that what ever happen to Tifa,Cloud would be there to rescue her.
Cloud rescues his enemies when the mood strikes him? I CALL BULL!
agreed
tsundere cloud :v
Tifa wants him but Cloud is playing hard to Get
Tifa wants him, but then in ACC develops motherly feelings for Cloud, and still through it all. Cloud wants Aerith. Aerith wants Cloud. Zack is happy being best friends with Aerith. I'm talking about canon facts.
Shut the fuck up. I'm tired of seeing your name all over most, if not ALL, videos that hint Cloud/Tifa or Zack/Aerith.
They really are everywhere
@@sakuracardcaptor4709 Not buying it.
@@sakuracardcaptor4709 no you're not. Play the game, tifa and cloud even have sex by the end of the game while the only cloud Aeris know is a shallow made up persona, even she knows it we she say " I wish I know you better"
Even without memories Cloud and Tifa are destined to save each other😊
"Will I see you again?" Why it reminds me of Zerith scene btw. Oh, a girl's wish.
And love how SE change the side of who loses the memories from the original FF7. They meant each other, don't they?
It breaks my heart to see them deny everything
I would love to play this some day. A large part feels missing since Dissidia and prior titles have been released. So it helps to see the sniplets that you, and others, have graciously posted on here. Thank you
wtf does tifa see in cloud when...he talks...like this...all...the damn...time.
i don't get it either, think he's a terrible character especially in terms of personality.....
So does the greatest man who ever existed... William Shatner.
***** you've neva played ff7 did ya
xelfy kim i did, that's how i fucking know
+Jon Idoncair cuz they fucked up cloud outside of FF7, he doesnt act like that at all in FF7, for some reason everywhere else they made him slow and sulky which is really stupid, because he's anything but that in FF7 (the game he originated from)
Dear Square Enix:
WHY DON"T U JUST GET THEM TOGETHER ALREADY TO KEEP US FROM WAITING???
Your prayers have been answered, my friend!!

@sherlotta1022 it's made pretty clear towards the end of FF7 that Cloud has always been in love with Tifa. He joined Soldier because of her. He loved her since he was a kid,and the scene under the highwind just cemented their relationship. "They confirmed their mutual feelings for each other" regarding the scene under the highwind. It's an official statement made by Square.
Tifa: But when I heard your name, I thought we might..
..have smashed while Cid and Barret were watching from the Highwind
Wow, playing through shade impulse, Cloud's line all of a sudden makes much more sense. "The one I really want to meet is.." At first I thought it was in reference to Aerith from FFVII. But after the events of 012, and him feeling like he lost something precious, I now strongly believe it's Tifa. Strong work SE, you trolled the fanbase yet again.
Cloud only acts like Zack due to a psychosis that caused him to believe he and Zack where the same person.
The subtlety that most fail to grasp about Cloud's journey is that in order to find himself, Cloud had to relive his past and sort the fake memories from the real ones.
Cloud did this by turning to the one thing that stayed constant in his life and defined his person:
His dream to impress Tifa by becoming a soldier. It was the reason he looked up to Zack in the first place.
Quite odd that Tifa is surprised to hear Cloud being on the other side despite already hearing Sephiroth say that Cloud betrayed them
thank you!
i wonder when the cloti and clerith fan stop harassing each other? i mean we all have the different opinions. so why bother other ship because you dont like it? please, grow up

Just realized this was 4 years ago
Time files
Because they’re too attached to these characters
@Shaneth21
To answer your question, Tifa was on Cosmos' side during the 12th cycle, which was the only one that she was involved in (found in the Character Files). Like the other warriors of Cosmos, they have absolutely no memories of their past, original homeworld or the people that they knew (the only exception were Yuna, Kain and Jecht since they were involved in the other cycles). The warriors of Chaos, however, have full recollection of their past since they won every cycle until the 13th.
It sure is amazing to note how much Tifa looks like Laguna or even Squall.
Cloud i Tifa são tão lindos juntos 😍😊😁
Cloud Strife - the king of JRPG teen angsters
+Elvis Presley he's like 21 in ff7
RRM25100 well thank you captain obivious
+Elvis Presley oh whatever Elvis
cloud is the greatest, he just acts like a protective guy that is not that sure of himself
Good god I love these characters...
Me too, my favorite characters forever.
i like how he doesnt look at her the whole time
I so agree with you. If you played FF7 in ps1 A actually saw the 'real' cloud hidden behind his soo called 'ZACK-MAKESHIP-personality'. On their so called date, she said 'I'm looking for you and I want to met you'
Because she feels Zack's personality on Cloud. But she fails to put him back because she really didnt know him only Tifa can bring the true cloud back to himself.
@nswayne Correct, in fact, he was one of the very first warriors of Chaos, by this time, Cloud has received just about all his memories of his previous life and all the battles up til now.
@winterscott1991
That is why Cloud, who was originally on Chaos' side, remembers Sephiroth, Tifa and their homeworld and he acted as if he never knew her so that he could protect her and prevent her from falling to despair once she has full recollection of her past and realizes her connection with the two.
thanks :)
OMG I love this scene so much. This is like the best scene in the entire Duodecim. However, I think the Japanese version is better. The actors put more emotion in their voice which make the whole scene much more romantic.
Aww, Cloud is so sweet. He silently try to protect Tifa. He pretends not knowing her because he want Tifa to focus on her fighting. If she realize who he is, she might lose her will to fight and that would be very dangerous for her.
@kgalo12 I'm pretty sure for this cycle, it took place sometime after Cloud became depressed about losing Zack and having his memories restored and Chaos could sense the darkness of his depression overtake him and decided to use that to summon Cloud to his side
Cloud... without pauses... tell me i'm dreaming!
Dissidia 2 seems like the characters are actually interacting now. It's brilliant.
ooooh i really love this scene in the japanese version with ayumi ito and takahiro sakurai's voice, but the english voices are so..empty!!! especially tifa's voice!! the japanese scene is much more romantic!! cloud x tifa powaaaa!!!
Cloud's guilt is not driven by his LOVE for Aerith. Aerith was killed and he felt guilty that he didn't do anything about it and feels it was his fault.
They aren't evil. They just work for Chaos. I don't think they get to choose which side they are on.
I’m so glad Tifa and Cloud love each other
ty :)
Cloud: No, I’ve never met you before
Tifa: ouch
He already explained why he did that. For her own good. Not much of an ouch when she doesn't have her memories.
Yes. During his merc runs early on in FF7 he was extremely cocky and positive in his skills. Of course this all dissolved after Aerith died and he regained his old memories.
Well in case you are not familiar with any of this, "Dissidia" itself is a game where main protagonists and antagonists are brought together from thier respective worlds to fight a war of the gods 012 is a prequel to the first Dissidia in which cloud is a main character on cosmos' side, in this one tifa is fighting for Cosmos' Before Cloud joined.
To put it simply The Dissidia Series has nothing to do with the original games story wise.
As a huge fan of Zack Fair from Crisis Core's viewpoint... I love how Cloud reacted to the word "hero". I think that was a reference to Zack's dream to "become a hero".
"lets all act like we have amnesia!"
omg...this sucks my balls....
sgr7th Well, Tifa really didn't remember Cloud when summoned into the cycle. Cloud acted aloof to protect Tifa because if she gets her memories back, she will not want to fight.
Speaking of Shinra, if there was a theme song for all of Shinra, it'd be System Of A Down's Cigaro. 'We're cool, in denial...we're the cruel regulators smoking Cigaro, Cigaro, Cigar...' There's a rock and roll theme for every character in the Final Fantasy series. Sephiroth's is Shinedown's Sound Of Madness. 'No one owes you anything-I think...you need a shotgun blast-a kick in the ass-so paranoid-WATCH YOUR BACK!'
Cloud? Motörhead's Overkill. Perfect ringtone too.
@xPrincessGarnetXVI it's one of his answers. When Tifa asks him if he slept well, you can answer "next to you,who wouldn't"
1:30 to 1:43
Aerith: ZACK LOOK WHAT CLOUD SAID TO TIFA!
Zack: *watches* me and cloud should've made a promise
Aeirth: what would the promise be?
Zack: TO GET WITH TIFA BEFORE HE DIES!!!!
So... if we look at this from the Dissidia history, Cloud retains all his memories because he was on the winning side of a previous cycle. Correct...?
@Darknefarious This is from one of the reports which is unlocked after you complete the 012 main story.
And then Cloud had the balls to take on Chaos all by himself. In a losing effort, but...damn.
Yeah, they're guidebooks released in Japan by square/enix themselves. Admittedly, I was thinking the scene to be more innocent when I first played the game, didn't expect the devs to admit something like that. It's kinda weird that the rest of the party watched them "do" it out in the open haha. It's best left to interpretation, but I think they at least got intimate.
@cloudguile If I didn't remember wrongly it should be in one of the Report.
Finish the 012 storyline and you will get it for sure.
@raeven1212 he was a champion of chaos in the twelfth cycle. after that cutscene he fought chaos only to find his doom. he then prays to cosmos to save his friend Tifa and Cosmos saved him
"I felt like it" LOL
@64jigen No, not evil. At Dissidia 012, Cloud is summoned as Warrior of Chaos. But in the 13rd cycle, he was revived as a Warrior of Cosmos because, well, I don't wanna spoil it.
@MateusFolletto Final Fantasy Dissidia 012: Duodecim. Also known as Square Enix's love letter to all their fans. I don't know why this game didn't get much coverage though, I didn't know about this game until like 8 months after the first one came out (You can play through the story mode of the first installment once you finish the new campaign, so there is no real need to buy both games if you were considering it)
Is it just me or Tifa is just so beautiful. She is caring 🥰 aww
i know cloud will always save her because he had a promise when he was child with someone that he will save her if she in trouble...that's intuition
@linegenrou in the game? when?! i seriously do not recall
@singerinwhite
In the original game he was rather cocky and arrogant, but with a good heart. While he did have things he kept to himself, he was never really quiet. In fact, he was often very outspoken.
@Louchan2 Ah, thanks. I haven't seen the original game in ages. He was, like Squall initially, not really a "team player," was he? He was a bit lonerish, right? I do remember him being pretty quiet in Crisis Core though, but I think that was more situational come to think of it. Infantrymen don't really speak most of the time, and then he was part frozen and comotose thanks to Hojo the rest of the time he was onscreen I think.
can anybody tellme the storyline of this game? when it happens? please =(
makes me want to cry :'(
this is part of tifa's history
??
@TheShizuangel Although, if it makes you feel better, Cloud's line in the Japanese version more closely translates to "valuable person" or "precious person" or something; I don't remember the exact wording.
I'm sorry, But I have been looking all over the internet and can't find it. What is this cutscene apart of? a DLC? Is it something to do with prologus?
Do I have to unlock this or something to play cloud when he's on chaos team
@skysorujaa I agree Tifa seems a bit "happy-go-lucky" but then it is her original game outfit so this is possibly the younger, 20 year-old Tifa from before Advent Children and possibly the end of the original game (at 22 she's a little more serious and matured).
It's not especially pointing to anything romantic but the tension of "feelings" of some kind is evident. Cloud's being protective of her because he remembers her. Either way you look at it it's frickin' cute!
Put up the Cloud Chaos cutscene. This story ain't over yet.
Well if you analyze the scene where Tifa wanders around Cloud's subconscious, he clearly state that the reason he wanted to be like Sephiroth was to impress and be noticed by her, which allows us to understand a lot more about his emotions and actions. IMO his main motivations were undoubtedly connected to his whole childhood trauma, which happens to have a lot to do with Tifa.
I feel like this game looked way better when I was younger😂
Every time I hear this Cosmos and Chaos stuff, it reminds me of the Dragon of Earth and Dragon of Heaven from X.
@StickmanMakerr All of the characters were supped from their worlds at different times. Cloud was taken from FFVII straight so he doesn't really remember who he is and still has Zack's memories etc etc. But Sephiroth was taken from right before AC/ACC which is why he finds this all pointless since he knows he'll be reborn in either world no matter what. Like looking at FFIV, Cecil was taken after the game but I think before the sequal. where as Golbez was from the sequal since his hair is silver
Awwwwww...poor Cloud...
@Louchan2 that was only at the start of the game until he regained his memories and his true personality
Nice observation
"Words aren't the only way to show how you feel" cue blackout plus Tifa's response to the gang next morning with "were you watching?!" implies something going on. This is in stark contrast to "were you listening" in the low affection one. They fall asleep next to each other in both versions, so you know something different happened.
The FMV doesn't explain much except Cloud thinks he can find Aeris in the promised land, with Tifa right after saying "yeah, let's go meet her", as in them as a unit. With what just happend in the highwind, It makes sense, as Tifa is confident in her relationship with Cloud.
The kicker though is that Tifa is the only person where Cloud explicitly states to have feelings for, and he does this at the end of 2nd disc, after all the shit has already happened. And the ultimania confirms all this.
what part of the game was this in, I never seen this scene :/ ?
when well ecounter this? on which chapter? never mind thanks i know from report
Like a BOSS.
i bought this game where is this cutscnene what chapter please reply!!
I played through the whole 13th cycle but I never found this part. How do I play it.
This may sound stupid but... Why didn't I encounter Cloud nor Sephiroth during chapter 7 where you play as Tifa...? Did I missed it and did something stupid...? Or this scene will show up in other scenarios? Thanks! :D
LOOOVEE ITTT cloud and tifa are the bestttttt!!!
DAMN! Cloud's a smart fuck. He sure knows what he's doing.
Oh the Irony... It too much; I want to talk and say something
You gotta feel bad for Cloud here...it's painful for him to be around her, but not the way most tend to think. Especially when she starts comparing him to a hero saving the girl, EXACTLY as he promised her. Only you're forced to be mortal enemies and he was just unlucky to realize that. It's no wonder he tried in vain to off Chaos. He has enough problems as it is, why give him more reason to be the personality most fans seem to be tired of...
Awww I like both of them
They were called by the other side that's why and they don't have their memories. Cloud regains his memories in this game, the prequel to Dissidia, hence why he refuses to fight Tifa here. Cloud later fights Chaos alone for Tifa's sake which touches the leader of the other side who agrees to let Tifa return, after she's defeated in this game, and picks Cloud as her Champion for Dissidia.
LOL "i felt like it" cloud you never change XD
Cloud didn't start doubting himself until later on in the game. And even then, his dramatic flop in his persona didn't happen until Advent Children. As soon as Cloud became mopey and depressed, he immediately switched from being one of my favorite character to one that I couldn't stand. And why not? Other characters had no problems staying confident and positive in Dissidia.
