In today's video Romel & I show you a step by step process of how to uninstall your stock OEM frontpipe/downpipe and install your new after market frontpipe/downpipe (catted or catless). I had 3 Dodge Challengers before this 18 SI.....I really miss my RT Challenger, might try to trade in this 18 SI for a new 19RT.
The SI is a FUN car but I miss the ROAR of the Hemi V8......and with the cylinder deactivation it got 29mpg on the highway, not bad!

Did you tune the car yet? By eliminating the cat to a straight pipe, you’re allowing a lot more air flow and will need a tune or at least a OTS tune.

Hey phong. When you took off that plate shield underneath the car did you happen to notice if that was Oil that was leaking?
orangefirepearl FK8 i did have a little bit on the shield, it probably isn’t oil, but the pb blaster you sprayed on the bolts prior that got on it. Nothing to be alarmed about. Great question though!

Depending on the area you live in if they do inspections but yes. Even catted you will fail unless it is carb certified
Did you reinstall the top heat shield? Or just said f it?

XGEN SI Yes it will. Ryan has a 2018 actually.
MrWesQ yes typically as far as engine and suspension mods go if it's for the 10th gen it will work. I've ran into the same trouble no listing for 2018 parts but as long as it fits the 10th gen your golden.
Yes your good as long as you pick 10th gen parts, just make sure your trim line matches whether it's an SI, EX, Touring etc. (you don't necessarily have to that, but it will save you some hassles down the road.)
There is no 2016 Si.

Just pull out one filter from the cat. Which is at the down side in the cat.u will feel a huge difference in acceleration.straight pipes just make loud exhaust sound.but if you need quicker performance just pull out one downside filter from the cat and dont change oem pipes.
I have the heat shield out and I stripped a bolt that mounts the header to the turbo.

may i know why you chose the fkx pipes rather than prls? im having a hard time choosing between the 2. I wanna shoot fire so im not quite sure which one to go for. I've seen some people with Prl pipes shoot flames but i also see a lot of people going for fkx pipes, any insight?
John Kenneth Penaloza honestly its all preference, there is no wrong. PRL makes a great product as well as FKX, personally I’ve seen a lot of PRL that I decided to seek a change and went with FKX, I’m very happy with the decision and either choice would be great. Shooting flames could be utilized with either, it’s more in how rich your tune is in order to do such a thing, the only thing hindering flames is making sure you purchase a catless downpipe, catted would be destroyed if your goal is to produce flames.

Hi, can the "only front pipe" replacement change the noise?
I m looking for a little "engine noise improve" but not loud, and without cut and weld.
It would make sense to attach the heat shield first prior to install the down pipe.
Harry L we didn’t realize that the stock heat shield would fit on the aftermarket down pipe till it was too late.

Might be a dumb question, but is the front pipe and down pipe is separate from the exhaust ? For example I purchased the GReddy SP exhaust , could I also get a after market front and down pipe with this exhaust
How do you get the bolt under the black housing on the heat shield out ? I’ve tried using a 12 crescent and I can’t fit a ratchet under there any tips ?

Ryan has a Hondata running a custom tune, FKX frontpipe and downpipe, muffler delete, D2 springs, Skunk2 shift knob, DDM lights, 19x8.5 +35 Aodhan LS007s, and some other things. I also know where he lives.
Q: I ordered the Megan racing upper and lower down pipe. I did a muffler delete last year, my question is this can i use heat wrap and the heat shield to block all heat??being that our cold air intakes sit right above the turbo and cai, if I don’t use the above mentioned wrap will my intake soak the heat up from the both above mentioned aka Down pipe? Thanks in advanced
Kingston Flores Just use the heat shield, the heat wrap will just trap the heat in. While the heat shield will assure the heat won’t spread to the CAI.
I've heard rumors that the downpipe bolts are really fragile and will snap. Is that true?

Tyler Heistand at the time yes practically, running catless frontpipe/downpipe with no mufflers and one stock resonator that didn’t really do anything lol, but I’ve recently got a custom exhaust done so stay tuned for that.

Yes it would! As long as it’s a 1.5L Turbo motor then it’s all the same!
Anyone know if the fkx fp/dp is the same as plm and 1320? Heard it was all the same with a different label
Ethan L From my experience, plm isn’t that great of quality. FKX is built more solid, idk about 1320. But I’ve heard horror stories with PLM.
Can I put a 3 inch front/down pipe along with a 2.5inch exhaust? I have the magnaflow exhaust. Help please.

Do u lose "off the line" torque or low end power if you're making the system less restrictive??
Motorcityman Man usually bigger diameter around vs stock, a lot of people go catless so that yields more power as well. Front/down pipe combo wakes the car up a lot

Felipe fc1 with catless, yes. You’ll need a tuning device like hondata or ktuner to disable the code.
Frontpipe looks the same though 🤔
