Yea it fucking sucks, I call the Honda dealer and they just talk to me like it's my fault. 20k started doing it as soon as it got cold out. I've been driving manual cars for 12 years. Now I have to warm up & baby a car I paid 20 Grand for so I don't have a $4000 repair bill. I love the car but I'll never buy one again. 1st Honda & Last Honda.
I suspect that Honda miscalculated the spring pressures or the material for the clutch. My '18 Si has 71,000 mi on it and the clutch slips in 5th and 6th gear above 3,500 rpm if you roll into the boost. I'm pretty sure it's the same clutch that they put in the base model non turbo cars so it just doesn't handle the extra horsepower and torque. Ordered my ACT clutch a couple weeks ago and am just waiting for it to arrive so I can change it and stop worrying about it. I also ordered the lightweight flywheel because I hate the rev hang caused by the heavy weight dual mass piece that comes from the factory.
Hondata and K-TUNER have maps for the CVT and all these mods can be done to the engine (it's the same engine as the SI) but too much HP/torque will kill the CVT. Anything over 240 HP is probably too much.
hey there i just installed maperformance dp on my 2017 si and the 02 sensor wiring is short and i cant connect it. is there any specific o2 sensor for this dp? its the downstream o2 sensor. thank you.
Besides maybe the intercooler, and downpipe, no. You'd be better off going with a PRL Cobra for the intake, anyway, as it makes the most power (compared to other intakes), and runs the best without a tune. The best mods for these cars are Ktuner, ethanol, the PRL Cobra, and an aftermarket clutch.

If i install only a frontpipe will it be needs a tune? Hope wont throw a code
Yes you need tune for that
is that in order? if not , any specific order ? looking for my first mod currently .
Somewhat in order yes. First one would definitely be the tuner!
Okay thanks!
I've been on the website a few times and I haven't seen the stage 2 tune in there? Is it purchasable or does it only come when free when you buy the intake and down pipe?
I’m about to get a 10th gen Civic. Thanks for the tips! How much are we looking at for Stage 2?
Pearce Reader 55whp
Would any of these work for my 2018 civic si?
This will all work for 2018!
@@maperformance would you go with flashtune or hondata for someone just getting into moding?
@@photogboy Ktuner
Will Tuner void warranty ?
Yes, but you can flash your car back to stock if something does happen and they wouldn't likely know.
thanks olivia
I have a 10th gen, 2.0L CVT, sedan sport. What mods can go on it? I’m worried these mods are only for the 1.5T or 2.0T
What's the torque spec for the turbo bolts and front pipes
Any updates on the transmission knock from the track video???
We are hoping to tear it apart this week.
Would that fit in a 18 civic hatchback?
Yes
My stock clutch after less than 10k miles (I DO NOT CLUTCH DROP OR SLIP UNNECCISARILY) slipped a few times just doing highway pulls with no modifications bone stock si
I also ordered the lightweight flywheel because I hate the rev hang caused by the heavy weight dual mass piece that comes from the factory.
what about N/A Civics? ecu reflash possible?
YES, with KTuner, 20+HP , see the video posted by KTuner
My 2004 RSX Type S made 230whp from full boltons and tune. Thats about a 50whp gain.
do one for 7th gens 🙏🏾
heat soak on metal intake tube... :(
Anything for cvt?
Hondata and K-TUNER have maps for the CVT and all these mods can be done to the engine (it's the same engine as the SI) but too much HP/torque will kill the CVT. Anything over 240 HP is probably too much.
Would this work on a 21 sport hatchback?
Looks like they don’t answer comments about FK7 Sport hatches
Will the intake fit the Canadian model Si with the windshield washer tank on the right side?
Great question. Short answer is no... But the longer answer is you can buy the PRl relocation kit by itself and that would allow for it to work.
Everything is great but I hated the “trying to be funny jokes”

hey there i just installed maperformance dp on my 2017 si and the 02 sensor wiring is short and i cant connect it. is there any specific o2 sensor for this dp? its the downstream o2 sensor. thank you.
Are these parts going to bolt on perfectly to the Sport Hatchback as well?
Besides maybe the intercooler, and downpipe, no. You'd be better off going with a PRL Cobra for the intake, anyway, as it makes the most power (compared to other intakes), and runs the best without a tune. The best mods for these cars are Ktuner, ethanol, the PRL Cobra, and an aftermarket clutch.
Z3Ph IZr3aL what would you recommend for exhaust? Something throaty, i was looking at the Borla for the civic sport hatch.
@@robertcummings8833 Greddy is what I have. Best sound, at the best value IMO. I have videos on my channel. I think if you're catless though, or going catless at some point, magnaflow might be the best choice, as there's no chance of it being raspy.
@@robertcummings8833
Got the magnaflow on mine, its deep tone not too loud. Can still talk normally inside car. It's got 2 center black tips that look nice too.
Will any of this help information also work on a none SI/type R model I’m currently working on my 2021 Honda Civic EX hatchback and would really like to know
Some parts may be compatible, but make sure you give us a call before buying anything just to confirm!
Is there anything for the sport editions on the 2.0 engines?
Please don’t think I’m hating, but don’t put a lot of money into those motors. More likely than not, you’re gonna be disappointed with the result per dollar
@@tgrind2586 thanks man I'll just leave as is lol appreciated man
Oscar Ballesteros Guzman no problem bud
Should you do these all at the same time or would someone be fine with tuning first then later on buying the rest one by one?
Jose Vega I noticed during my own research that people like to get the tune first and run a basemap then change their clutch and add bolt ons after. I’m guessing you can go bolt ons before clutch and just wear out your stock clutch. I’m probably going to keep the stock clutch at first and feel out the mods and get used to them then drop a nicer clutch. I’m probably my going to do all of the above mentioned in prep for a turbo upgrade in the further future.
Hope I was of any help!
J Luu same Im probably gonna do the same since my car is brand new and unless the clutch starts slipping then I won’t buy one just yet.
Jose Vega my thoughts exactly. I only have 4000 km. I figure I’d get my ktuner done and enjoy it with the stock clutch then upgrade clutch when I start slipping
You can absolutely do things one at a time. Tune costs could go up if you are planning on a tune each time... obviously wont matter for things like clutch, though!
what is the best model year SI to get todate?
2020 I’ve had all since 1999 an just got my new 2020 all coupes it has all the cool tech features plus shorter final drive so acceleration is faster then last couple years my opinion of course I’m a Honda guy tho for sure I’ve also had two type r integrals still got one an a couple gsr integrals over the years
where are the kits?
ainsoph1 PRL came out with big turbo kit and it made 450whp I think.
I have a si 2017 what type of ecu it’s better to tuned the cars s300 flash pro or k tuned v2
