Update: I do NOT wish I would have gotten the catless downpipe. This is actually very loud! MAPerformance did a H E L L of a job making this exhaust system!
Don’t catless dp’s also tend to give the typical Honda rasp also? Maybe the catback would help, but there’s a video of the type r with a Catted and catless downpipe as comparison, and the Catted sounds so much better. Good purchase!
You have the best channel about the 10th gen si. I appreciate the fact that you share all the mods and you mod tastefully. I can’t wait to see your supercharged 9th gen. Keep up the great work
The solo mechanic why are you in here trying to plug your whole ass car in here. Every single comment you’ve made on this post has been to go check your channel and nothing productive to Cam’s channel🤦🏽♂️
Told you lol. I told you awhile back that once you got the rest of your Maperformance exhaust on you'd love it. The only difference with mine is I got the ceramic coated down pipe. Plus I got the Maperformance CA intake which is also awesome . Glad you're loving it bro.
Mann this cars come so far from when you had it stock, and seeing how happy it makes you, makes me look forward to upgrading mine in the future :D Another sweet vid!
Another strong video Cam! Keep up the great content on the Si, crazy how good your car sounds. Between you and Dakota no install stands a chance against you guys 🤙🔥
Sounds so good! Not gonna lie I kinda miss the grey paint. I remember a few videos back you talking about the color and what not, interested to see what you come up with!
Sounds wicked, man! Ive got the Ark Performance DTS front pipe back exhaust on my sport hatch; i think a catted downpipe may be next. By the way, one thing I love about your cars is that you keep them on stock suspension. It makes them unique, considering lowering is basically expected in the car scene nowadays, and seemingly everyone does it. Plus I think the 10th gens sit very nice stock. Anyways, love your content dude!
Thanks! that Ark exhaust is also very nice. You should definitely get a downpipe. it makes a huuuuuge difference in both the sound and acceleration. And I think you're the first person to actually appreciate my car being on stock suspension. I can't lower it at this point, even if I wanted to, because Vivian is going to daily this until we get her the Bronco
@@rikdrt1 I've still got the stock front pipe and down pipe; the ark exhaust basically is straight pipe with a resonator and a tone chamber. If stock exhaust volume is 2/10, i would say its about 5/10 with just the ark exhaust and nothing else
Just installed mine yesterday, along with a PRL front pipe and an Injen cat back . It sound amazingly good. And It even woke the car up quite a bit. I’m not on a tune, just Mishimoto CAI, and the exhaust, I also have a pedal commander installed as well, I highly recommend them.
Sounds good man. Now you need an upgraded drop in turbo, clutch, and custom tune. Look forward to all of that content 😄. I also had regrets not getting a catless. However, I’m happy with my catted downpipe. Plus I didn’t want my wife and daughter to have to smell the exhaust fumes all the time.
Haha...Understand the feeling of changing the exhaust. the same feeling i had when i changed my exhaust to HKS, was unnecessarily driving fast and revving. luckily i have toned down but still happy with the sound and its like music to my ears
Cameron my man look into a custom tune to really make the most out of that DP FP, but in the meantime maybe slap on the Phearable God Tune for shits and giggles and big bangs. Huge fan
i like what getting rid of the stock down pipe did to my car. turbo spools quicker and there a noticable power gains too. with my stock mufflers it isnt too loud or quiet! hearing the turbo spool is sick too
I too wish you went for the non-catted as that's what I want to get. As usual great video, explanation and honest view on the product. I look forward to the next upgrade.
I have the 2019 civic in Aegean Blue! I am waiting for the warranty to run out before I do mods! I was a cryptologist in Misawa , Japan for the the USAF for 6 years. From one Zoomie to another , Kindest Regards!🐈🐱😸😼🙀🐶
Happy you got catted, catless is sometimes just wayy to loud. I had to get a resonator welded in Cobalt because how loud longtube header and cat less was
Cameron Hill ah that’s a good thing. Really wanted to do mine with the down and front for my 2020 si. Drone I was just talking about that 3500 rpm little drone that you get, but I love the extra loudness. Enjoy it. Really loving your vlogs.
What part of Maine you in bud? I’m in Scarborough. My down pipe for my Juke is gonna be here tomorrow, I’ll probably have it installed in the next two weeks, I can’t waitttt
Amazing instructions on how do everything, the sound is even more amazing 🔥, do you by any chance know what the size of the o2 sensor socket remover is ?
He did get the new turbo gasket but we reused the one on there since it was fine. The oem heat shield does not work with this down pipe. It will work with prls v2 and 27wons
jackie guo nope, mine doesn’t use the heat shield and I’ve had it on for like 40k miles. Prls and 27wons come with it being able to use the oem heat shield
Juan Bueno you shouldn’t have to, you might get a CEL due to it being a high flow cat. With a ktuner, you can disable that cel light through the software.
@@Camhill182 I heard using e85 flex fuel you can get up to 300 HP after tune, according to hondata. You might have to upgrade your clutch to the act version. I wouldn't push anything more than that tho, it might be danger for your engine.

I like quiet i have the w1 turbo on the way and already have cold air intake and intercooler. i dont thiink the few hp for a loud exhaust is worth it to me
The problem with that situation is you’ll be pushing a lot more exhaust gases through your stock catalytic converter and exhaust system. Sometimes people can blow out their stock cats because of that. Its sort of rare, but it does happen
Were you running a tune on the car at the time of this video? && if so what tune were you using while you had the MAPerformance downpipe? Did you change any of your tune settings before/after installing the downpipe?

Plus it smells nicer, I had to weld in a cat to my 2008 VW jetta 2.0 turbo stage 2, catless smelled terrible at stoplights.

I don’t really want to do a dyno day because they floor the car at 2k rpms, which is a very bad thing to do to a turbocharged car

I grew up in Caribou, went to Husson Univeristy in Bangor for a year, then lived in Portland for a year and half. Now in Rocklin, CA
Soap water gets the grommets off like nothing
Let’s gooo!!
I'm on their stage two tune. You might want that to get the correct trims for the pipe
if you spend the extra 10 minutes to remove the rad support and turbo inlet it will save you 30 minutes of struggling to remove bolts on the cat

Bit late to the party, love your video ! Small question, how did you make the small plastic pieces around the inside vents red like the type R?
this is the goal
Okay number one this civic sounds beast but do you still love Cashew Milk w your cereal????
HAHA!! I havent used cashew milk in a loooong time. Vivian got me back on Cow’s milk!
Did you get the new turbo gasket option and the oem mounting tabs and did it fit with oem heat shield ?

Will it cause any problems with no heatshiled

Do you think heat wrap would do the same as the shield?
Hello, it sounds good on the outside but is there drone in the coupe after you put the downpipes?
Not really. This exhaust setup was perfect. I would do it again the same way if i ever got another si
MAN I got a lot of catching up the videos 😅 WHEN WE SEEING RACES!!!! Let’s get some dubs!
When you ordered the maperformance exhaust did you pick factory/flange or MAP front pipe for the fitment option?
When i ordered just the street exhaust back in january, I selected factory front pipe or whatever
@@Camhill182 cool thanks a lot. I just wanted to be sure so i know it'll fit lol

Cameron Hill hahah torqued with elbow grease
Brian Huynh we gave it the Ugga duggas
Nice soud🚦 wow when you gonna do the 1/4 mile?
Maybe when it cools down outside
Sounds really good! Question, can you install dp and fp with stock exhaust?
Yes sir
Dakota Hall thanks for clearing that up. Do I need to tune the car if I do this map dp/fp on the stock exhaust and will I get a check engine light?

10:00 “ oh my god that feels good”- that’s what she said
Can the front pipe be easy as bolt up to stock exhaust?
yes
Are you going to do the prl flex fuel? I think to prevent the rubber grommet from cracking you should've spary some wd40 on it.
Eh. I might. We’ll see how the next few months play out
