I subscribed. Well- "revolver" and RDR were released in my twenties and thirties, respectively, RD2 when I was 40. So, if I somehow live to be 50, maybe I'll see RDR3. I honestly really hope that they go back in time with a next installment; this series is supposed to be a Western series, and I don't want to see some 1920's hamster era Red Dead. I'd rather see a Golden Era game, maybe starring Arthur's dad, or maybe even something about the pioneers and the unconquered tribes.
Bro right on man that sounds awesome.
Or just a different gang or a lawman in the same universe maybe in a new area or a expanded map of the current one.
i would love to see van der linde gang's backstory
I agree. For me it would be too much of a grand theft auto thing. Mainly because the 20's and especially 30's was the rise of organized crime. Would be neat to have a GTA set in the 30's though lol.
We need Dutches backstory of becoming the gang leader
I like to think he started as an outlaw after Ross but got captured around the time of the First World War. Of course a government at war probably would not want such a competent gunslinger to just be executed so I would think they would offer him a pardon if he fought in the war. During the war he saw so much death and violence that he finally managed to renounce it and become a writer after.
The US didn't enter WW1 until 1917. And Jack would have no logical reason for wanting to be in the military.
@@demonslayer5122 again assuming he wasnt given a 'Trading Bars for Stripes' deal by the government if he was captured.
But then again. Agent Ross was killed in Mexico
@@demonslayer5122He states that Jack would enter the first world war as a pardon.

@@demonslayer5122 back in the day if you were a criminal you weren't given much choice. Even my grandfather was sent off to Vietnam because he was an alcoholic and after he crashed his car drunk he was given the option of going to jail or serving in the army.
My assumption was always that he'd wander around looking for solidarity, possibly start a family and watch the world around him rapidly change and living until possibly the 60s and 70s
He actually became LA Noire...since it took place in the early 50s. Got tired of being an outlaw after they ended prohibition and became a lawman.
My grandfather was born in 1911 and died in 2010 so its possible
I haven't seen evidence of him in LA Noire (1947 btw).
Also, wow your grandfather had a long and full life

Edgar Ross was alone when he died, or doubly alone if you killed his brother and wife.
There's no witness so no one would know that Jack killed him.
I mean, Jack knew. It’s something he will carry for the rest of his life it’s certain it would effect him.
Ross death is blamed on robbers (not really a surprise) if you stop at campfire so yeah Jack walked away and my version of him did not kill his family there is no real need for that
@@iloveemeralds4622he’s not a little bitch Christian, this ain’t gonna affect him in real way. So long as he hold true to his own ideals and morals and not the Christian ones anyway.

Jack fighting in the Mexican revolution for RDR3 would go CRAZY
He going to fight the mexico dictator John helped. That would be cool
Red Dead Revolution has a nice ring to it.
@danielsaxon2206 that's gr8, have the revolution be his redemption have his dead be him hopefully escaping that cycle of revenge killings and insted dieing of (old age) or for the revolution and becoming a martyr hopefully the epilogue is his son/daughter he has with a Mexican woman revolution fighter, etc, have red be the blood he and Mexico spills in its search for revolution
That rebel leader doesn't seem too stable he sounds like the rider of a white horse if you're familiar with the book of Revelations
None of us were happy to play as Jack at the end of 1. I don’t think they’d dare go that direction.
The idea of Jack fighting in World War 1 is actually not as far-fetched as it might sound, because during the days of outlaw Butch Cassidy, there were many outlaws who went into that to that conflict, and by all accounts Butch seriously considered joining himself, as a way to earn a pardon, until he realized hed more than likely be serving alongside many of the lawmen who wanted to capture him, hence he backed out.
I believe the conflict at that time, and I cant remember the name of it, but it involved Teddy Roosevelt's "Rough Riders", and San Juan Hill.
Heck, during WW2 we, the U.S., enlisted the help of the mob families that controlled the ports to watch out for spies.
So, Jack, an outlaw, participating in WW1 for whatever reason...wouldn't be too outside of the realm of possibilities.
the spanish american war ends prior to red dead 2 starting. i believe the in universe equivalent the ends around the annesburg chapter, its in one of the newspapers
I think that war was in Cuba
My personal theory which combines parts of all of them is that Jack drifted as a minor criminal for a few years, living recklessly and nihilistically. Captured for such petty crimes after the activation of WWI era conscription, he gets put into the army initially against his will, having no love for the government. Nevertheless, being among a greater selection of his peers than ever before proves actually beneficial for his mental health, leading him to get a grip on some meaning in his life and settle into the life of an author after the war.
That's my theory as well, I'd love a game where we actually see the last bits of jacks life, maybe he attempts to right some of the wrongs of his father, but mostly keep it his story, really show the turning of the page and that Jack is trying to listen to his grandfather Aurther the world's changing around him and he can only do what he can do for the people he has come to care for (I'd assume his unit) perhaps they abandoned their post really showing the point that Jack really does want to be that Lancelot type similar to dutch but trying it his own way.
Imo it would also be nice to get a stranger mission where Jack retraces johns journey after he was abandoned after the train heist maybe he'd even see some echos of John (probably hallucinations) and over the course of the story he's writing, and at the end of the game it could end with Jack being the author of the red dead series having actually retraced Ross Milton and the gangs steps trying to understand just how everything went, he'd probably remember most of the locations he could just be writing an autobiography.
I think you all forgot that you see already how Jack lifes like:
A gunslinger with great capabilities, they not come only from genetics - somehow he got alot of practice by "living targets".
Iam pretty sure to the day he revenged his father, he was not a criminal like Mikah, but also not clean like an office Strauss:
It is very likely that he become a head hunter a few years after the dad of John, thats why he is not tied to a gang, but still had this abilities.
Even it would be a cool outcome if he fight in WW1, but i dont think so.
Personally i think Jack had a mental breakdown after killing Ross, lifing years lonely and start to write books, which become famous and having a normal life as pretty strong and weird man.
He fullfilled somewhere else with a beautiful woman, maybe deep in Alaska the dream of John, Writer an Farmer, lifing peacefull and give a shit of the goverment or the rotten society.
The day he shot Ross, was the day he ended the legacy of the Vanderlinde Gang and his life as western outlaw.
I think the answer i arrive at is, after killing Ross, he really does leave it all behind him, and just keeps working as a farmer at Beecher's Hope. Uses some of his spare time to write a book about his time in the gang and his short stint as a gunslinger to avenge his father, lot of people from the west would go to write book in the 20th century and they were popular reads, i don't see Jack not doing this who already had a profound interest in reading and history as is.
It would be interesting if he wrote the story of his life and passed it off as fiction.
I like to think he became an author and that the games we played ' RDR 1&2 ' was actually Jacks books retelling the story of his family and their friends and enemies.
I'd like to think that he got away with what he did, mainly because that the remote area it took place in had plenty of animals that would have cleaned it up and also seemed to still have plenty of shadey individuals that wouldn't think twice to go after an older person out their by themselves.
Perhaps he even made a family and he tells stories to his family of the things that he has been through or the things his dad and Morgan went through. I am sure he got John's journel and Arthur's as well..
He’s staring in rdr3 traveling over to England to join the peaky blinders
Damn that would be great
Hell yeah, that be wild
The next installment in the Red Dead Franchise I can't wait to see what story it will tell. I would love either and prequel to RDR2 showing the Van Dir Linde gang in it's prime or even before Colm and Dutch became enemies or a sequel showing what is left of Jack's story.
I'd like to think that he would've gone on to have fought in both world wars and became a decorated marine or navy seal of some sorts, while also having to deal with the spanish flu, great depression, and etc. He'd managed to live a comfortable life around the 1950 and early 60s before passing away, in that time becoming a successful and decorated author. Charles said it best in that he's going to have it hard, and yes he would've in living through one of the darkest periods in human history.
Cool idea, just one thing- he was born much too early to ever be a SEAL, they weren’t created until January 1st 1962. He could, however, have been an early UDT (SEAL team precursors) member, as he’d have only been 47 when they were activated August 15th 1942!
No way he’d fight for the government after what happened to John and Uncle
@@louisdellalucca8969 To be fair, John wouldn't either, given a choice...but as we seen in RDR1....government doesn't give you choices...other then do what we want or die... Course in John's case, it was do what we want ..then get slaughtered.
So, technically, they could have forced Jack to go over there. Probably not with HIS life but maybe the life of a woman he married...or his kid's'.....
@@louisdellalucca8969he wouldn't have a choice, either die like his father or be redeemed in war
WW2, he'd be too old to join.
I personally think Jacks story should never be touch on again. I like his ending being vague and allowing fan speculation.
I feel like red dead 3 might be an ultra prequel. Not sure any game has done that before. Going back before the events of 2 and ending at the blackwater heist would be crazy cool as the final mission
Nah they should do it after Johns death and make the Edgar Ross mission mid way
@@daboy5256that's something I haven't heard before
I got rid of Edgar's wife and brother as well to prevent retribution as nobody would know who did it.
The pinkertons and the government would've killed Jack and Abigail too if they didn't escape so Edgar's family had it coming from the Marston family standpoint
I think that if Jack joined any army he’d probably join the French foreign legion
If they make a rdr3 and follow jack instead of another prequel. I imagine they'll tie it together by jack sitting at a bar and somebody sitting next to him and in a raspy voice. "Do you remember anyone named aurthur morgan?" And he looks up and sees an elder Charles looking back. It takes him a moment but a lot of memories come flooding back. The gang. The kidnapping. And then get says it. "That was your father ya know..." and he walks away. After that we only see him come around now and again but in the end we learn Charles is already dead and he's a guide for jack to help him get through....whatever major plot takes place.
RDR III should continue Jack Marston ‘s story
Indeed
There were different gun slingers that were considered legends in rdr2 seeing in the side quests so maybe use one of em as protagonists in rdr3 or show the beginning of dutch hosea, john and Arthur
Whenever he is, I just hope that he didn't become an outlaw. I hope that if he learned anything from his father, that he'll try to always be a good man and stay at the ranch. John tried to give him a normal life as a way to make up for what he did in the past. Which was very smart considering that the past caught up to him.
Or at least Jack finds peace before he makes another bad decision
look it up he went on to be the owner of the general store in Blackwater and became an author and died at the age of 97 in 1992
Whatever you saw was made up by fans. Rockstar has never revealed jacks fate
What I would think would be fun and interesting and very out there. If for some reason they let jack become a member of a mafia. Afterall I think John is half Irish I believe. He could join the mafia gang, and it gives him a home ans people to relate to. Now ofc I know it doesn't really fit his character, but it would be cool. And ik the game then would be too close to the mafia series, BUT it would be fun with rdr mechanics. And he can still rock maybe the hat and Marston revolver just for a fun callback. It would be fun and cool and can be the last game to end eith outlaws. Because mafias and gangs are basically western gangs.
I believe that Jack Marston took his love for books combined with his outlaw life experiences and eventually wrote the story of Red Dead Revolver
I would actually love a RDR3 that bridges the gap between the west and the 20's city-based mafias. A gunslinger who has to adapt to the times, but also retains the cowboy-esque persona
Likely we wont know until red dead redemption 3 is released in 2028 or 2030
More like 2118
It’s probably gonna be longer than that
I don’t want rdr 3 to be about jack it should be further back into the wild west instead of further ahead into ww1 and mafia time
@@Salvatorekuhn42082 no that would fuck up the story line really bad Jack's must be complete before continuing anymore red dead redemption games its to big of a detail to leave out
@@TokerJoker420lmao no it wouldnt. what would he even have to do lmao. the games are already perfect as they are they dont need another sequel/prequel. they should just start with new characters again.
He became an outlaw
Go along with the rdr2 timeline, jack could have become a famous bank robber , during the roaring twentys; along side other famous bank robbers during that time period. I would love playing as jack with a Thompson submachine gun and a 45 colt pistol.
I hope we see a sequel story with jack. People say that it’s not possible but contemporary westerns are a thing too y’know.
I mean...it could be that time period at the end of RDR1 where they left the west.
I mean, there IS a missing time gap of him being a preteen/young teen seeing his dad slaughtered to when he arrives back looking for revenge. Where did he get those skills and the iron will to do that?
MAURY POVICH: “When it comes to 16 year old Jack… John Marston… you are NOT the father!” >Abigail goes running to the back room crying in horror

Jack's life is so tragic
I like to imagine jacks redemption as him trying to redeem himself to his dead dad somehow
Hopefully RDR 3 is about Jack during the golden age of Bank robbers in the next game. High hopes.
My theory is Jack ended up settling in Saint Denis beoming a major player in the city as one of the early american gangsters catching the attention of the fbi after completing the biggest heist since the 1899 Van der Linde gang robbery, which sets ups his origins of his move up north to RDR3's version of Missouri in an area similar to new hanover with a city similar to st louis or kansas city. He became petty hustler for a good amount of years before scamming an fbi agent who recognizes him. Causing Jack to flee to RDR3'S version of Chicago before being caught soon as he gets there because of new telephone technology . The "chicago" fbi agent offers Jack a deal to be free if he takes down a mob boss for him . Jack accepts which makes him a "chicago gangster" in the late 1920s or early 30s. He succeeded but his "gang" found out about his cooperation with the FBI and he flees driving down route 68 somewhere far west. He ends up taking his money from the old life to fund writing and publishing the book he always wanted to write, which up being the Red Dead book written by J. Marston in GTA V. This book caused the fall of the FBI and the new agency being created, the FIB. RED DEAD REDEMPTION....
A Public Enemies styled spin-off game staring Jack would be awesome.
Have a cameo of Midwest America in the depths of the depression era crime spree with a 38 year old Jack torn between the man he wants to be versus the legacy of his fathers past.
Add some ptsd from both his father dying and service in WW1 for more character development.
Ad an adversary character as well but a man of principle and virtue. A Melvin Purvis styled FIB agent approaches him at his father's farm.
He is investigating the cold case muder of Edgar Ross in Mexico.
A man of honor, the game centers around the two men struggling with duty versus reality, for Jack duty to the positive side of his fathers memory. Torn between his fathers past which started to bleed into his life with the murder of Ross.
For the Purvis character, the tear between what is morally right versus what his ambitious J. Edgar Hoover styled Bureau director's at any cost sometimes shady practices.
Man just think about it ; cars, horses, and Tommy guns and BARs with dead eye.
I can see such a game being a great addition to this Unniverse.
Jack fled the USA and joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force during WW1 and saw a lot of action, coming back to the USA he took on an assumed name(maybe a dead fellow soldier) and he became a gun for hire/Detective who worked for both sides of the law, mob stuff, outlaws like Bonnie&Clyde etc.
He got sick then became V for vendetta.
What ☠️😭

Like V for vendetta.
For me, I like to imagine he secretly purchased the land in the “Water and Honesty” mission after killing Ross, and turned it into his own small ranch. And stayed in hiding. Maybe even becoming a writer like he initially wanted to be.
When Jack and John were in, the barn Jack made a joke about writing a book called the day John Marston stopped shooting . I like to believe he wrote a book about John and the gang
I like to imagine he just went back to the ranch to take it over
Hopefully we find out in RDR 3
Happy that Angelo Bronte treated Jack Marston well.
You grow up in traumatic experiences. For me it was mostly emotional abuse and neglect. Society has a way of telling you that you can't be traumatized by certain things. Either that or you grow up and you really think you don't have any problems or anything. However, trauma is a bitch and something that hides. Your brain hides it to protect itself but in doing so it perpetuates the trauma. You don't process it and it stays hidden and to only come out in the worst ways possible.
I like to think that he just became a rancher and got married and have kids

@@dathanplaya5216 he would still be 19 at the start of WW1 but be in his 40s when WW2 starts so idk
Can we all agree that if we get a Read Dead Redemption 3, then it needs to follow Jack's adventures following end of the first game.
Thought the same
I'd personally prefer a Mac Callander story arc, I'm not sure how much Red Dead can really be preserved beyond 1914. Another reason is that apparently Mac have Arthur his jacket before his passing
My preference is that of the anti-climax; Jack loses to Ross. It's the simplest way to wrap up Jack's storyline. Revenge is a fool's errand, and if Jack was the only one who'd get to see the fruit of that right away.
Jack isn't John, and doesn't have all that experience of gunslinging (especially in 3 years).
I wonder something. Did the game ever specifically state that jack was an outlaw? Because honestly don’t really recall that. Our only outlaw act was killing Agent Ross. My over all guess is he becomes a bounty hunter like Sadie Adler.
Well I may say the theory for RDR3 maybe he is on the run only to be found by either Charles or Sadie and adopted him. Either gave up his vengeance (if went to Charles) or continue for bloodlust but in vigilante way (through Sadie)
Im sure rdr3 story will focus on Jack...
I don't care if they're technically different universes, and I don't care if it was only an easter egg, I accept that one book in GTA 5 as canon fact that Jack became a best-selling writer
I would like to see Jack turn into a John dillinger type of outlaw and hav his own gang
I never felt like jack as a child and jack as an adult were really the same character. Never really grew to love the character either.
He probably stayed in Mexico away from US authorities and probably did fight in the revolution
If we do get a red dead redemption remaster we should definitely get an extension with more of Jack just to fill us in!!!
In rdr California exist where as in gta its San Andreas, boni McFarland acknowledges new York city and in gta its liberty city imo these details are proof the rdr and gta games are not in the same universe
Considering jack is running around in 1914 in his 20s to 30s its reasonable to assume he was drafted or had enlisted in 1916 on behalf of America, likely perishing or thriving in the muddy hell.
The book in GTA V is definitely just an easter egg. GTA and Red Dead take place in different universes. The biggest tell tale sign? New York City exists in Red Dead. It does not in GTA, instead being called, as everyone here should know, Liberty City.
Glad i found this channel i subbed. Great content.

I like how every body talking about happy ending for Jack marston and him living peacefully without troubles after killing a retired high ranked governmental agency
It makes sense jack joined the us army because it gives you a hint that you cannot wear the us outfit in the main stroy rdr1 as john only as jack....
12:26 "Edger Ross"
12:12 Edger Ross 👀 No Nut Novemption
Would be cool if he got drafted in to WW1 and was in Meuse-Argonne or Belleau Wood
Jack tried spaghetti for the first time because of Bronte.. that's at least one good thing that came outta that lmao
Personally I want a Rdr Game exploring Jack going on the run for killing edger. We pick up a few weeks after he killed him and we tell that story.
The game world of 1911 and 1914 in rdr1 looks and behaves the exactly same way. So even by rockstars own timeline it seems the old West is still not dead yet. So we got some story room for Jack in an old west environment and we could also use Mexico as well.
Ww1 is just an event could easily be mentioned in the newspapers only. WW1 started in July 1914 and ended in November 1918. America itself didn’t join the war until April 1917 but regardless ww1 was never at any point fought on American soil. So the entire war is really a non-issue if we want to keep the entire game strictly western based.
As for the Mafia angle well.. nothing really demands jack story needing to told from that angle either. As far as the rdr franchise is concerned, the mafia has existed at least since 1899, so you could argue the setting years in rdr2 and rdr1 could just as easily have been used to tell a purely mafia story. Mafia with horses in 1899, mafia with cars in 1907/1911. So unless you choose to set a Jack story in a big city somewhere there’s no reason why the game needs to be mafia styled. Especially considering westerns primarily take place in the rural west, rural Mexico and the actual wilderness.
But regardless none of the theories or Easter eggs about what happens to Jack after are actually confirmed Canon. Rockstar has never once confirmed anything about him after rdr1. But Even *if* the stuff was true I would like to see how Jack managed to have a good life despite him killing edger in 1914. We already know they would be an extensive investigation attached to the death of retired top brass agent. Especially considering in the RDR franchise “Actions have consequences” and “revenge is a fools game”.
Happy to see somebody has finally said this. I also toyed with idea of Jack on the run for killing Ross. I also feel like a sequel would also properly close out the trilogy instead of going back in time. It could pay homage to previous Red Dead characters by having them featured in flashback sequences, but it won’t be fully focused on what came before.
I never thought much further than it, but I always just assumed he's be drafted into WWI.
Here is a trivia of what happened to Jack after Red Dead. He travelled to East end London and became the legendary "Jack the Ripper"... The Van der linde gang is responsible for his creation.
jack the ripper happened in the 1880s tho, so they would have to make up a new guy to fit in the 1920s
12:15 The answer may be: because he killed him in Mexico (and in 1914, when the country was in midst of the chaos of the Mexican Revolution), outside of U.S. jurisdiction. Therefore, at least legally, he could not be prosecuted.
what if rdr3 is a sorta continuation of jacks story only sadies apart, like michael and trevor they can switch between.
Is this a higher quality of the latest version of red dead redemption it's almost like red dead redemption 2.

Mexican revolution started in 1910-1917, it was obviously unheard of by him by the time his father was killed.
World war 1 was 1914-1918. This fits more if Abigail was dead soon after. Serving world war 1 after getting his revenge couod be his catharsis to secure the idea he never nurdered anyone before. Or been in any kind of gunfight or had anything to do with weapons.
Woah is this the latest version of Red Dead Redemption it has the same quality as Red Dead Redemption 2.
I personally believe for RDR3, Jack Marston will be forced to fight in WW1 for killing Edgar Ross, a government official. Being forced to fight just like John.
Rockstar needs to pull a squat remix do audio drama’s with the voice actors
If RDR 3 ever happens I feel like we should go back to the golden age of the old west Im talking like the 1830's and 1840's. We dont play as Arthur but a whole new character. If you go back in time in the RDR universe it was an even more savage time period and lands were much more wild and untamed too.But back to the video Idk where Jack went after RDR1 maybe hes alive somewhere and taking it easy and writing books for kids or sadly like u said he might have killed himself knowing his whole family is now dead and buried.
Thiers also a theory he went back to his ranch and started farming again to make some money for himself and probably lives alone now like a hermit. The same could also be said for Red Harlow from Red Dead Revolver as he just vanished too after his game as well.
Plotting for RDR3: tie up the worlds of Grand Theft Auto III and rdr2 buy having the government use the mafia to try to kill Jack because he knows the dirty secret of how his dad was used by the government and then killed. They want to kill him before he publishes his book which is the journals of Arthur and John. You can see the book Red Dead Redemption on the Shelf in Michael's house in Grand Theft Auto V. For those of you who are too young to remember Grand Theft Auto III started out with a mafia family that can be an extension of the Mafia Family in rdr2
I don’t think they should connect the two series
If John isn’t the father, then it’s definitely Javier
Javier wasn’t in the gang when Jack was born, and Jack doesn’t look anything like him other then the way he styles his mustache
This was wonderful 🤘🏻
the development of jack is more interesting than john and arthur imo we watched his childhood to becoming a outlaw
It’s strange how he went from cute little innocent kid(rdr2) to a carbon copy of his father(rdr1 epilogue). I would be cool if rdr3 came out but it would probably be in like the 1920’s so no more Wild West I guess. And final thing John did neglect Jack a bit but he was nice to him
I just wanna believe bro lived to see Star Wars
Hard to say really, in my play throughs he was at $30k+ in whenever it is, 1919?
So he's rich as f#(《 .
We'll find out in RDR3.
I think he got drafted for ww1 and survived and became and author
There's a very strong chance that Jack would fight in world war 1 regardless of his ultimate choices in life, due to the US passing a national conscription law circa 1917 which required all men from the ages of 21 to 45 to register for military service. This law was replicated in Canada also. Not even criminals could avoid being conscripted into world war 1, As evidenced by the British government during world war 1 offering the "opportunity" for criminals in most court cases to avoid being sent to prison or worse if they enlisted into the military.
I don't entirely know if the US government replicated this conscription of criminals but considering the sheer desperation most countries showed during world war 1, i don't think it's incredibly unlikely that if jack got caught, he would've been offered a "deal" much like his father was, especially given the low life expectancy of Soldiers during the first world war.
I really think a story focusing on Jack would be interesting, especially if we got to see jacks perspective in world war 1, but personally i'd prefer a game set during the earlier wild west, ideally set during the american civil war or the immediate aftermath.
It would be nice to start rdr3 with the formation of the dutch gang and ending at blackwater (in the eyes of arthur morgan to not ruin its mystic)
Very interesting, me personally I believe Jack ended up getting into the criminal life of a mobster, I know it wouldn’t be the western style it is supposed to be but it would make sense in would also like to believe that he somehow got out of that life and wrote a book about is his life and father, at the same time it would be cool to see a game that’s like this.
Jack changed his name to Dutton and continue to ranch
Most likely given the era in the us ... He became a bootlegger. Smuggling alcohol during prohibition. Like in the movie lawless
Rockstar should make a ww1 adventure game where you play as Jack
Won't be a cowboy game. Be a army war game.

You're all wrong, and all asking for entirely the wrong thing.
Rdr3's protagonist should be a young Landon Ricketts.
