Just what I was looking for. You don't appreciate how heavy that back door is until the pistons go completely 😂

The newer plastic head without the metal is removable with a small pliers ideally a swiss army knife pliers or a needle nose pliers, you have to squeeze the two sides of the clip between the slots at the sides and push it inward. Spent forever trying to push with a screwdriver. My audi a5 sportback had both ends like that.
