HOW TO MAKE YOUR AUDI TT SPOILER STAY UP!!! | OBD ELEVEN MODS

- In this episode, I'm getting back to my Audi TT project car, there's some big mods planned but more of that later because one question I always see in the Audi TT community is how to code the electronic spoiler to stay up -- it just looks way better up!
Can it be done? We will find out!

Great video buddy and thanks for the shout out!!!!!
Welcomes mate 👍🏼
Thank you so much ❤
Hi Andy, great stuff, I love the ham radio vids, and ebike stuff, my friend gave me a 28inch rear hub kit for my bike but mines a 29inch carrera he'll be cat,
Do you think that would fit my bike?
Yeah should work no problem. 28 is an odd size though.
😂Only AK can piss about with gadgets to mess with a car spoiler 👊bloody love you mate😂👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣
i thought there was something wrong with mine , i couldnt get it to stay up , ty ty ty :)
Even in WWII, the Germans had so precise engineering of their tanks, that after 3-4 clicks through some dirt or mud, something would jam or break.
"Stay Up Forever" . Now that's a good label. Choons such as A&E Dept - The Rabbit's Name Was.... . . Or London Acid City. . . etc etc...
Is it legal to keep your front plate number on the left side in uk? Thx
Thanks for the video. Is it also possible to let the spoiler come out at a certain speed?
As standard it comes up at a certain speed (I can't remember what speed exactly) but you can't set that no.
Yes it comes up at 78 and goes down at 60 or 50 can’t remember
will this still work on the 2016/2017 model?
Look way better up
Does this work with a mk2
Does your car have a manual or automatic gearbox. Which one would you recommend I prefer automatic one's personally
Yeah its the S Tronic Auto, really amazing gearbox.
I'm looking for a new car but struggle with changing gears all the time would you recommend a automatic
Given how much fuel is and how much drag that will add, are you not better coding it to never come up?..
lol barely makes a difference ,its just for show
@@girlsdrinkfeck You would be surprised how much it ruins a car's streamlining figure. For best MPG they recommend not to drive with a window open or roof bars on, especially on a motorway or at higher speeds. Obviously around town and stuck in traffic it wouldn't make much difference.😉
can't comment on this car but my old rally subaru STI RA the spoiler angled down 140 miles. angled up 210.
And no spoiler 250 miles. and lethal..
@@stephenjones9153 yh but andy isnt poor ,he would prob save £5 a week at most on fuel
Is it possible on obd app to program Dashboard to TTs or TTrs ? Cold you maybe please do a video on that.
Yes, I've done it. You can use OBD eleven to do this quite easily
Rather than deactivating it completely, in the menu at 6:53, activate the bottom option instead and the spoiler should become totally manual, only going up or down using the dash switch.
Interesting I'll try that
Update?
Can you use this to add features such as maps or Apple car play ?
it forms the basis of that but there's extra steps.
I think it look better down, but that’s just my opinion 👍
Me too, it also uses more fuel with it up, downforce doesn't come for free.
I want to disable the start stop but don’t want to buy obd11 if it can’t be done. I have Carista already and this is listed as being able to do this but I can’t as the option is not available when I try. Can anyone confirm if it can be done with odb11 ?
Did you disable the stop start as well?
Haven't figured that out yet!
A far more easy way to do this is >>Garage>>Apps>>Spoiler Disable
Get a big fixed one like Darren
It's on the list. Suspension and Engine mods first!
Sounds like he married a supermodel.
I had a question so can I just disconnect the pop up spoiler by unplugging it
Probably, not sure if that would trigger a light on the dash, probably not...
11? I always thought it was the Roman numeral for 2
Andy TT looking good your Grill have you any info please
It was one from ebay, not the one with Quattro on it.
having it up forever might be a problem a guy I know has a Bentley and the spoiler got stuck open all through atom and winter the boot got wet through
Yeah as I say, you need to keep an eye on things, I will say I usually leave mine up all the time and for about a year its been fine.
Press the button.
I need something like this for my AMG GT 😭😭😭
Show off boy racer 😛
You can take the boy out of Essex, but you can't take Essex out of the boy 🤣
This is true!
Got a better mod than you have, spoiler stays up all the time but i can stiil use the button
Yes it's a an app now in OBD eleven.
Audi has notoriously dodgy electric systems!!! Wanna be wary of setting loose some catastrophic electrical gremlins!!!🤯😈
If it all goes wonky then we'll pull it apart and stick a Tesla motor in there 🤣
@@andykirby there is a great video on the Fully Charged Show UA-cam Channel about retro fitting your car to electric for about £5K.
I have had a fixed spoiler installed on my TT is there anyone who can disable the spoiler for me happy to pay for the service
Where are u based?
Would this work with the manhood??😂
The whole undertone of this video was hinting at this 🤣
@@andykirby and then you mentioned me 😂
I was wondering too… for a friend
🤣🤣🤣
Unfortunately I get an yellow error permanently on my 2019 A7 :(
Found a fix?
@@codhruv839 no unfortunately
@@codhruv839no unfortunately
Why ?
Watch the video amd find out!
I don’t think this works anymore unfortunately 😢
It should do... There's a new way of doing it in OBD eleven as well. It's an app within the software which allows you to use the OEM button to fix the spoiler up, ie press the button and it stays up until you press the button again.
will it work on my Dacia Duster ? ha ha
You never know🤣
Only the SS model 😀
Best way is to not buy German Junk.
so french junk instead ?
@@girlsdrinkfeck They do not sell French junk in USA any longer.
@@grabir01 what about usa built junk ? usa cars r world famous for being trash
@@girlsdrinkfeck True. USA makes junk for sure. Stay away.
You can program it to have manual control on the button up and down at a press .
