For exhaust.
I'm SUPER partial to a catless 4" Trackslag & AWE Track. It's loud, but not nearly as obnoxious as your current setup (sorry, not sorry lol).
This combo sounds amazing and rich/deep in it's tones. It's what I run on my car. It can be quiet when you want, or scream. Best of both worlds.
Yeah that’s definitely kind of the setup I’m gonna go for to clean it up and go for a little bit more of a sleeper sound!

I have the same setup on my gli, I used to use a unitronic downpipe, and for some reason it is less raspy with the catless downpipe and it has way less rasp than the unitronic downpipe or the Apr one I had, rasp wise Apr was the most rasp, then unitronic was a huge reduction in rasp and then the trackslag was a bit less rasp but the volume went up on wot a little bit

Hell yeah mbrp with a factory dp will sound super clean! I’m thinking a high flow catted dp and Amy mbrp catback will sound perfect. Plus I can finally pass inspection 😂😂

he should be at 28 psi. Well at least i am at 28.6 is the highest with my stage 2 setup with eqt tune.

Thank you brother same here and so you definitely don’t need to for the stage 2 map but I will say I would definitely recommend it, it really does make a huge difference so your not hear soaking 5 minutes into ripping haha but send it either way homie

What clutch did you go with I’m going stage 2 next week in my mk7 but wanna know how much i gotta save up for the new clutch and install 😂
So I went with the Xclutch stage 2 with a 6 puck setup and it’s good for 680ft/lbs and it’s was 1300 brother! A decent clutch setup if you replace everything will be about 1300 to 1500 and I did it myself but a shop will be right around 1000 bucks for a clutch install haha

How long did your stock clutch last ? I have a 16 6mt w stock clutch and scared to go stage 1 and stage 2 because of clutch slip
So truthfully I started slipping the first week I got the Mk7 because I got a DP and immediately went stage 2 so I just babied it for a year then finally got and upgraded clutch. So the answer is it will happen sooner or later really no matter what man.
I did my clutch and figured out that it’s the springs that fail and just can’t hold much more than stock torque numbers.

My only issue is I’m in VT so real builds are pretty hard to come by unfortunately. But I have a bunch of trips planned this summer to get better content homie 💪🏼

hey chris quick question, how long have you had the tune and what mileage are you at, so at what mileage did you get it at and what mileage are you at now, also have you had any issues with it, when I got my eqt stage 2 I was getting a bunch of knock but i suspect thats because I dont have the upgraded spark plugs, if you had any troubles with knock let me know what you did to fix it or if you still do get any knock can you let me know how much you get, sorry for the long question english is hard
Hahaha no worries man I do the same thing trying to explain anything!
So I bought the car at 49K miles
Then bought catless DP and plugs at 50k
Then flashed EQT stage 2 at 51k even though I didn’t have my intercooler yet
And have been running it all the way until now at 101k miles man
I never ran into the knock issues because I didn’t plugs and gapped them to .024 with a step colder plugs and have literally had no issues what so ever!!
Hopefully that helps alittle bit man I’m terrible at explaining things 😂
I have eqt stage 2 and I don’t have issues with knock at all with 24 gap. Maybe the only time is in drive mode due to gearing

@@ChrisFromKenya so I live in a desert where it’s 120 degrees in the summer, I took my tune off because it’s so dam hot so I felt it was pointless, none the less do you feel the inter cooler is necessary?
@@Tranner aww that’s kinda sucks yeah definitely way harder on turbo cars man, so 100% worth it no matter the weather haha I would recommend like a full replacement that mounts behind the radiator man, you’ll get better way temps and more effective that just a front mount bolt up especially if it’s that hot.

Have anyone here that owns a MK7 GTI been having cylinder specific misfires (mine is cylinder 2&3 and also random cylinder misfire code)? Are they normal? I have a 3" catless downpipe paired to an ECS Tuning 3" catback. I have upgraded APR coilpacks and Audi RS7 NGK spark plugs with EQT stage 2 tune on 93 octane.
It’s pretty common for specific mis fires, easiest answer would be checking ground wires for all the coil packs, checking plug gap specs for who your tuned by or coil packs actually making a good connection to the plugs themselves! That’s the best answer I have homie I hope it helps!! 🔥

@ 7:24 i battled this question all the time. I Wound up doing maperformance catted resonated downpipe ->to a res delete->to a remote controlled xforce exhaust dump -> to the stock catback. Lets me be quiet and run the stock muffler through the neighborhood and in mornings and with the press of a button it switches to an exhaust delete whenever i want. Being able to have both on demand is so nice.
If i were you I'd look into something valved, such a cool thing to have.
