I’m so glad I found this channel lol. Thanks for the info! I’ve been running stage 2 eqt for about a month now and I still had it plugged in. Will unplug it today!
You are absolutely right ive used that exact spacer on all my gti mk5,mk6,mk7 and it does have to be pointed upstream and spaced correctly i get a cel like twice a year only it works good..lmao i didn't know about unplugging
Many of the people having issues with eqt tunes are fuel related and its caused because people dont read the fine print when installing the tune(me included) the only reason I knew is because I'm in the eqt facebook group and it was discussed in there. Basically leaving the downstream o2 sensor plugged in causes a rich fuel mixture overtime. I'd drive for a 50 miles or so with it plugged in after tuning and found that it made my burbles a bit more smooth, idk maybe placebo. Either way, I moved up to a daza now, needed more power lol
Is this for stage 1 EQT with stock DP and stage 2 EQT with aftermarket DP or just stage 2 with aftermarket DP? I'll be doing a stage 1 EQT tune soon and wondering if I'll be good to pass NY state inspection afterwards on my 2021 GTI. I did have a 2015 GTI with a circuit werks DP with built in o2 spacer and jb4 and I never had a CEL and never had an issue with passing NY state inspections.
Interesting. I’m gonna get the urotuning spacer installed tmrw when I get my MBRP catback installed on the R. I tried the unplug when I first did the tune to see if it would make a difference with the cel and it didn’t. Why doesn’t eqt mention this anywhere on their site or email when you buy the tunes? What’s the point of the o2 spacer if the sensor is unplugged anyways?
So I googled it and found some forums talking about it and also the original post by Ed. Think I’m gonna just reflash after the spacer and see how things go. Good vid my guy!
Honestly still kinda chasing the problem buddy, I thought it was pvc or catch can over flow but it’s not. Still looking to see if it’s coolant or oil but we’ll see
Hey bro I just wanted to say if that doesn’t work I got one from ARM and removed my check engine light no code for my cat-less downpipes anymore, and passed emissions flawlessly. Spacer worked great just pointed it up away from rear of the car.
What’s good dude. I have the urotuning spacer going on tmrw. So based off of how it looks, could you tell me how you’d have it confirmed direction-wise? I’d really appreciate it.
There is 2 02 sensors. One on the turbo and one rear one in the dp. Unplug the one in the dp. Reflash the car and leave it unplugged and just zip tie it so the connector doesn’t fall in the bay. Leave unplugged though, if that rear one is pluggged in the tune will read rich and it will always run rich. EQT says to leave it unplugged as long as your tuned by then
@@ChrisFromKenyathank you. I have a ARM DP with mangnaflow HF catback so all the reading I’ve done brought me to this video. Thanks man love the content
Unplug your rear 02 ONLY if you're getting 02 codes. If your DP is sufficient enough and it does not have any 02 codes. LEAVE IT PLUGGED IN. Just wanted to amend this. Not everyone needs to do this. Only the folks with catless downpipes or catted downpipes that are not sufficient enough. This is also for Cobb's platform as a whole. Not just EQT. We now return you to your regular scheduled #Eggdaddy content.
@@deej628 he’s saying if your tuned on a stock dp or a catted dp with a sufficient cat it should read correctly and you don’t need to unplug it. It’s really for people just really high flow cats or catless, they will read rich if you leave it plugged in. Kinda hard to explain over text haha
If you guys are ever having small issues with it running rich definitely do this first and start there. 🤍 hopefully this helps

I was noticing that my AFRs were a bit low sometimes (EQT Stage 2) and litteraly came across your video out of nowhere. Nice
I've had the vibrant J spacer on (o2 sensor up front) with eqt e85 tune and passed NY inspection 2 years in a row now without flashing back to stock
Good info my dude thanks for the video. Glad u got the EQT sponsor that’s big 💪
Thank you dude I appreciate it!!

Dont think you mentioned that if your have a GESI compliant downpipe you will not need to unplug the O2 on stage 2 and above tunes.
Very good point man thank you!
I have the ARM 02 Sensor on my IE downpipe. I went about 100 miles and the cel came back on.
cool vid dude!! and that'swhat I called Bro's bonding Lol......
Sharing corn dogs… no no it’s cool guys we’re brothers 🤣🤣🤣
Nh gang. Let’s go 🔥
So your saying take the tune out then unplug the sensor then re tune the car then put the 02 sensor back on? Or just leave the sensor completely out

Now going on 20k hard miles and daily miles no issues at all my man

Sorry I saw this just now my dude haha glad your figured it out!! 🫶🏼
where’d you cop the seats from those are fire. i’m kinda getting bored of my leather seats
They were actually a factory upgrade option for the autobahn. I just got hella lucky 😂
My sparkplug blew up off my eqt stage 1 and my engine is trashed now
I noticed a bit of smoke on your warm start do you have an idea of what that’s coming from?

Mine does the same is38 gti
Tuned by eqt
Yeah I have the same problem most likely your valve seals I have my warranty scheduled I’m sneeky tuned stage2
@@codyelliott3641 let me know what they say or how it goes. Mine does it on some cold starts but doesn’t affect anything
