I love technical players but I love creative forces like Drozd that could lock themselves in a music lab searching for new sounds and textures. He's fantastic!
Steven does so many cool things on the Lips' albums. He's a real genius when it comes to texture and music.....good demo of the gear here.
They really picked the right person to demo this!
the perfect choice
❤
Steven Drozd is so damn creative ... Wayne should thank his lucky stars to have him. In this 7:14 second demo I heard dozens of fantastic song ideas ... Steven Drozd makes the world a better place. PureSalem ....
This dude is why I even play drums and guitar. I met him 3 times. He used to wear the coolest cheapest clothes. Velcro strap walmart shoes. It was punk rock to ME! Probably not for him. I think wayne wore cheap ass shit too. lol. He wore sneakers that look like he grabbed them off of a childs isle in a thrift store. Just see Magnet mag "The Soft Bullet" issue. I met waynes mom and brothers. They treated every one like family! These are great people.
Awesome idea of asking Steven Drozd to test this pedal.
He's obviously the best candidate.
just about the coolest thing I've seen all year.
i realize it is kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new tv shows online ?
@Alessandro Noel Meh I'd suggest Flixportal. you can find it if you google =) -will
@Will Paxton Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!
@Alessandro Noel Glad I could help =)
I have come back to this video over and over again. To see the creative approach of this real-life creative wizard is just really inspiring to my own creative explorations.
Couple things; That Janus pedal is cool as FUCK. It's certainly in the right hands on this demo. I'd love to have one of those, but I can't justify the purchase. But GREAT piece of work. Secondly, our hero Steven, looks pretty rough here. Gauging by the date posted, I think this may have been shot during his relapse. Glad he got thru it okay.
Great demo video. Steven is an ideal person for showing experimental stuff like this.
super cool. i love how you let artists test your gear.
Steven is a genius
Steven went and bought a Supro guitar...just like the one Ronald used to play. Ronald really inspired Steven 🥺
I can see why he is in the biz. Master of his domain. Excellent demo.
I just got one of these things last year! It's my favorite pedal
I knew one of Stephen’s brothers and their father. They lived a few blocks away from me in Schulenburg TX. Never got a chance to meet Stephen but his brother showed me some of the memorabilia Steven sent them, I got to see the gold record they had from Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots and a photo of him with Paul McCartney they had framed. He told me some cool stories about Steven and the band.
This was pretty dope!
thank you creator for Steve, and Steve probably thanks you for heroine.....however he is and always will be my favorite musical hero and inspiration. To this day if i need a head start on writing a song i just listen to Fight Test and its a done deal.
The little keyboard looking thing? Critter and Guitari Pocket Piano Green.
Joysticks??!? Well, they certainly bring joy. So do his socks.
This sounds like a beautiful and useful box - might I suggest a live performance based version with shorter sticks and perhaps a small pad on top of them for using feet / toes?
thanks!
Super rad video for a super rad pedal by a super rad company ran by super rad guys. Rad.
Critter in the post - thanks Steve!
pretty good button pusher at work
I need this
Awesome
Marketing Walrus pedals with an Electro Harmonix sticker on the guitar. Ace! :)
Henric Oscarsson we can also be seen frequently wearing reverb.com and JHS shirts in our office too. We're all buddies! 😂
Exactly how it should be then! You all make great stuff! :)
I want one of those magic green boxes! What is it?!?!?! And what kind of guitar is he playing?
Steve should demo more pedals, you always hear people doing the most generic shit on "crazy" pedals reviews. MAKE THAT BITCH SCREAM!
i was wondering that as well
"That's cool. I think I like it..."
Steven Drozd = music
anyone know what the small orange pedal is called and what it is ?????
what is the other pedal he plays~~thanks
thank ya kindly PaintChips!
Guitari Pocket Piano
More importantly than the pedals, what is that tuning ?? Sounds amazing
I think it's open c
Rad I want one of these.
What is that other pedal he uses?
Its a early 70's DOD 440
Hey dood, at at any point was there a "Janus 18" conversation or was this all random?
I concur
What tuning is he using?
What's that green box Steven plays?
pocket piano
What's the brown pedal he's using? I know it's DOD. Compressor, Meatbox, Envelope Filter?
It's an envelope filter
What tuning is he in
what the box to the right in the video?
DOD 440 envelope filter
Does anybody know what that green box he's using is??????
Pocket piano
dod envelope filter?
Yeah I posted this before I made it that far into the video.lol
if you live in England ????
damn really what are those shoes
maaan, if i could play guitar,...i'd play it like drozd
Have you picked it up yet? If not go do that it's fun. And i truly think if you put your mind to it you could play like him
like a kid at x-mas
I'm with myway43 the lips are a far more powerful group of artists together rather than apart, music is just 1 part of the machine.
dod 440!!
What's that pedal synth???/
critter & guitari
is that a phone ringing?
If the pedal had a bit more weight to it, a nice solid base, and maybe some larger sticks to mess around with your foot while playing, it would be fucking immaculate.
Regardless, you could manage some ethereal jams with this thing.
That's all possible DIY shizz, tho.
Thats what tampering with parts is for
He dresses nice
Love the joystick idea but it sure makes it hard to play guitar
Play it with your feet
i want those shoes hahha
W/O Wayne, nah, they are a match made in Heaven
streven name drozd of poland
I've been following Tony Hawk on Twitter for over two years now, and in one sentence you wrote "rad" more than he has in those entire two years. Such a great half-word.
I'm thinking Aphex Drozd would be cool
Devi ever
Wish Matt Bellamy would use this ( ._.)
Pinprick eyes
Im ant sayin shit. I think people that do drugs are the more advanced ones. He aint on drugs doy.
So much drugs... But he's so good!
no offense, but he says both in the very beginning.
this guy never shows how the trem and fuzz interact
Lusty Lamprey Are you being for real?
Actually they're atheists... so Heaven, no. But one can hope.
Id find him more intelligent if he clipped those finger nails....yuck.
He probably uses them for fingerpicking
Kevin Coleman what does that have to do with intelligence?
Short nails on the fretboard hand, long nails on fingerpicking hand. Any "intelligent" person would know this.
Then how would he fingerpick idiot
