The Lahore resolution was from an Ahamdi leader who later became the first foreign minister of Pakistan, " Sir Zafurallah Khan," to protect the Muslim minority in British India. But later, Pakistan became the biggest abuser of the human rights of minorities, especially Ahamdi Muslims. So undeniably, Pakistan has lost its very purpose.

Zafurallah Khan represented Pakistan in the Punjab Boundary condition. This was a judicial proceeding and he was a prominent lawyer. This was a very important role, and you could argue more important than that of the draftee of the Lahore resolution.
Ahmadis got a very rude shock quickly - within 4 years when there was open season on them. Perhaps the reason for this visceral haters is that the strong Barelvi reverence for the prophet (PBUH) goes against Ahmadi belief which at its core is a negation of the prophet’s / Quran’s Khatm e Nabuwat.
At the end of the day, I am not sure what happened was illogical. If you are going to form a country for Islam and some sort of Nizam e Mystafa, it is logical that this would happen. Honestly I have often found theologians to be quite logical in a very narrow sense - they literally start from a book as the axioms, and apply logic to derive conclusions. Where the conclusions contradict, they have rules of precedence. The issue is not the logic of this. The issue is whether you ever want to give a religion prominence to the exclusion of everything else. In this extreme it often becomes poison

Only Hindus keep dreaming about this.
The original Lahore Declaration and idea of Paxstan was to dismember Bharat into multiple little Islamic sultanates. And the call for more divisions of even divided India are just around the corner...Assamese Hindus would do best to stop dreaming about some idea that was never a reality. Islamism treats Hindu as kaafir and works to subjugate the kaafir... 800+ years of Hindu history should be enough to not make the stupid mistake that parting with Kashmir will solve everything.
      The problem is Islamism.

Abul Kalam Azad exlained what will happen to Pakistan. He said the only way for the muslims of India to be free of this ideology is to experience what the failure of Pakistan means. He complained Pakistan means turning the universal message of Islam into an ethic national state. According to him, the next step will be the balkanisation of Pakistan. Some states declare their independence or be seized by local muslim neighbours.

India is a federation with unitary features.
Example: 1) Indian states have autonomy. They have complete autonomy in few ministries like law and order, can impose their own tax on certain subjects (you can refer to 7th schedule of Indian constitution) But if there's any emergency like war, financial emergency or constitutional breakdown. Central government will become all powerful and control states. But this provision is used sparingly.
2)States have governor appointed by centre so that centre can have little control over the states.
When we got independence there was fear that India might break down into many countries. So there's a balance of unitary and federal features.

We have relative autonomy here. I live in Maharashtra and most of the decisions we get effected are by state govt including law and order. Just a month back, our state govt had declared a "state anthem" , something like "national anthem". India thrives in the idea of "Unity in diversity" which we all Indians keep on listening since our childhood, but in our local language of respective States. It makes us think that even if we are different, there is this idea of India which we have to respect. We are doing well.. i mean really well.

Hi Shehzad love from India. To your question on federalism in India, the answer is mixed. It is not as federalised as the US but it is also not that centralised as Pakistan. The central, state and concurrent list are specified and the respective entities exercise the functions as prescribed in the list. But still the centre is more powerful since the concurrent list puts more powers in the centre's control. Especially when very strong prime ministers like Indira Gandhi or Narendra Modi came to power the centre got more powerful. But it also have to be understood that many states in India wholly depend on the centre for funds. We do not have the system wherein the particular district or muncipality is able to largely fund itself like in the USA. In India the southern and western states in general are very prosperous and generally fight among themselves for setting up industries like offering good terms for apple or tesla etc. Thats the reason why you must ahve heard foxconn getting confused between telangana and karnataka state about where to set up the factory. But the central states especially the hindi heartland are poor and since they are not able to generate funds themselves, they depend on the centre. In some states like Punjab ,because of populist policies like free electricity etc the debt in the state budget has risen tremendously. Thus even they might need a bailout in the future from the centre. But regarding language rights you are right, we do not have a national language and although Hindi is the official language , outside northern India it is only understood in the urban areas. In all states we have to study the state language in the schools. It is compulsory and all the shops or business establishments have to put the name in the state language. For eg i live in Mumbai and i have to know Marathi language. So the federal picture is not perfect and is rather mixed

Very nice explanation. And to add one more thing, the police system is a state subject but the commanders, officers, top-cadre etc are all deputed to the state cadre by the centre. They are IPS officers. When in the state, the officers listen to the cm and the state DGP than any central authority. The states also have their own recruitment methods that are different from the central government.
The same with adminstrators, revenue officers, engineering services etc.

    • @vamsikrishna3855
      @vamsikrishna3855 Рік тому +1

Constitutionally india is not a federal state like the US. It is a nation with a permanent center and impermanent states. That’s why new states are often formed. Stated turn into Union territories (Jammu and Kashmir, ladakh) and Union territories turn into states and new states are originated. Nearly 10 new states were created out of old in last 30-34 years .
But India avoided this fissiparous tendencies by not fueling sectarian issues further like the language as india was defined by geography rather than language (or religion).
The real danger to india is loss of Hindu demography, like the territories of current Pakistan. As they lose hindu(or Indic religious ) demography, India sovereignty will be questioned and secessionist tendencies creep up like north east (which has Indic religiousity only 100 years back).

Gives such varied views and gives us soo much knowledge. While in some cases I have my ikhtalaf on the views about my country, India, which I know is due to what you people read there, similar to most Indians on what they read about Pakistan. But on most things I have ittefaq with you. We as the young generation need to have these discussions. Do I think partition was wrong? Yes. Do I think India and Pakistan should re-integrate? - Add some very subtle background music
    - Make your voice a little boomy (like nerdwriter), just try different mic settings.
    - Don’t leave screen blank for too long
    - If possible add some soundbites/footage to break the monotony.
    - If possible add sound effects for animation(like page turning, chalk, swoosh)
    - Only use high quality images, if not available just show yourself speaking( you are a good looking person 😉 )
    - If your videos will be around Pakistan, then probably make some map animations and use it again and again.

It is also used to distinguish between different chapters of video. But it must be subtle, not like cheap tv documentary. But I am ok without music too, it’s just a little unnerving.

We could be an Indo Union like EU in a distant future as we have strong cultural,/historical and genetic ties... Many spiritual leaders in India have envisioned this future....

Nice summary video yaar, love this shorter format. Also like your thinking in this video. If you will allow me, would like to suggest a few things:
    A. Make a video of you speaking along with images
    B. Some music at places perhaps
    C. Some outside video clips (say old news videos)
Hope I am not being presumptuous, you are doing way better a job than I ever can. It is however easier to be a critic than an artist ! All the best and keep up the good work

Pakistan & Norther Ireland are so similar in nature. These nations look as if independent from the outside but that is what they are meant to be, just look like an independent nation but not in reality. British colonization always functioned by partnering with few local minorities of that land. It was Muslims, Jews & the Parsis in India, and hindu Tamils in Sri Lanka, protestant Christians in the Ireland etc. So when Britishers leave, they always try to create a division in that society by creating fear among the minorities. Pakistan perfectly fits into that template. "pakistan ek azad mulk hay"

Its still a diplomatic take on Pakistan history. I think people still pinch themselves before considering a possibility that perhaps Jinnah himself was in the wrong. Pakistan was built on the greed of a small Muslim elite class that secured a homeland for themselves through unconstitutional means which the british colonialists were very happy to grant it to them. In my opinion Pakistan represents the horrors and scars of Colonialism and imperialism that still haunts the colonized people today. To glorify "Jinnah's Pakistan", subtly no matter, is still throwing a veil on the plight of the colonized people and the generational trauma felt by them today. And indirectly i believe it has far reaching consequences.

Today’s india is kinda ungrateful of the founding fathers. They made mistakes, some grave ones, they weren’t perfect, but no one is. Their ideals were strong and their idea of unity in diversity and embracing all cultures regardless of how different was the foundation of our country. I think Pakistan lacked that. And as he said, in obsession of creating a Pakistani identity, the early leaders of Pakistan alienated most than to include. Ironic.
