This may be a strange way to look at it but I always saw the movie as a Thanksgiving movie since the lesson is to be thankful for what you have.
That makes a lot of sense! I like that perspective
I've thought the same since it's about both holidays and Thanksgiving is in the middle!
You were dead on with how the shepherd's pie looked like the Majora's Mask moon once you added the carrots for eyes. I had a good laugh at that.

Nightmare Before Christmas definitely is a movie for both holidays.

You definitely need to watch the movie whenever you get a chance. It's honestly such a good movie! I watch it every Halloween and Christmas (I'm not sure why people can't agree on it being both a Halloween and Christmas movie)

I absolutely had to pause at the Shepard's Pie and scan the comments for a certain correction about the vernacular. I'm really glad this community is bent outta shape about it XD. Great work as always. These kinds of cookbooks started really taking off while I was working at Barnes & Noble, and shortly after I found this channel. The books and you have been a huge inspiration to take on and get better at cooking.
For those wondering what I'm talking about: I've met many English people that'll correct anyone that a *Shepard's* Pie is made of lamb, if it's beef: "It's not *Shepard's* Pie, it's *Cottage* Pie"

I never liked shepherd's pie, mostly because every time I tried it, it was always really bland tasting, but the recipe included in this book actually looks like something I'd eat.
It's pretty tasty! I dig the change from ground meat to meat chunks
That may have been a problem with the people cooking it and not the kind of food
@@alexramos7708 I've tried it at least a dozen times by different people and every time it was the same and none of them actually looked remotely like this one did, so my guess is that the older 'traditional' recipes were all on the blander side.

A good tip for the Shepherd's Pie, add a couple egg yolks to the mashed potatoes. Not only will they bind with the milk and butter to create a creamier texture, they'll also help with browning the potatoes when you bake it!

That’s true. I bought the same Recipe book, but with the apron along with it. Since most of the cookbooks that are the themed version recipes books, will be more in money, since of the apron itself. But yeah, sometimes with the shepherd pies, they sometimes say, if your adding the detail from those who cooked it before (not me, but those who did cook that version of the actual recipe from the book) will sometimes say throw the pea’s in when cooking the other ingredients. Then again, I got to try cooking it, since I got the book too. I

Although I never got to throw one, I was obsessed with the idea of throwing a Halloween party as a kid. I was also a big fan of this movie, so this would’ve made me so happy back then! Proud of you for making a lovely cake btw.

The mashed potatoes get gluey from how much starch is in them. If you rinse the chunks like you would rice, it'll wash away the excess starch and get you'll smoother potatoes.

There is a black cocoa powder, which is “ultra-Dutched” cocoa powder. I think this would work beautifully on that cake.

Well...how appropriate for this time of year lol. Also there's at least two cookbooks I can say you need to check out, one is the official Sonic the Hedgehog cookbook that just came out this month...same day as Sonic Superstars. The other is the official FNAF cookbook....also rather on point for spooky season. I'm pretty sure you've already got The Witcher official cookbook in your sights...as long as they don't push it back again from next month to December or next year.
By the way, a Sonic The Hedgehog cookbook was recently released. It was co-written by Ian Flynn, who was one of the writers for the Archie Comics Sonic the Hedgehog comics. All of the recipes are classic 50’s diner staples like chili dogs, strawberry milkshakes, and donuts.
