  • Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) on the "Reinventing the Steel" album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

    Here's the gear I'm using:
. Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - metal distortion and Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation with tone matching feature
    . Line 6 UX-1 audio interface
    . M-Audio monitors
    . Reaper Digital Audio Workstation
    . iMac with Sierra OS
. Dean Dime Razorback guitar (Korean version) with Floyd Rose Special tremolo + Seymour Duncan Dimebucker and Dean DMT pickups
In the guitar segment, I'm playing the main riffs of “Yesterday Don't Mean Shit” and “We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time”.
    USING MY PRESET…
If you use my preset for your projects (cover videos, “what if” creations, song tutorials, etc.), I’d appreciate if you can have a link to this video as part of your video description. Also, I will be happy to check out your work. Leave a comment to let me know.

This goes really well with the Bill and Becky Bill Lawrence L500XL Dime originally used and still had in some of his guitar. IMO a less ice picky sound than the Dimebucker so you have to compensate for that. I had mine (hand wound on order) about 15 year ago, took months to get to me from the USA to the UK with shipping time included. They included a picture of Bill and both wrote a thank you and signed the back of the picture

Do you know what other humbucker is in the guitar besides the dimebucker? I have a dime black bolt and the non- dimebucker pick up is broken

Maybe some Cannibal Corpse? Tomb of the mutilated or The bleeding. Or maybe some Obituary, like Slowly we rot or Cause of death, please. Love your tone videos.

I love the tone and the guitar ofc, you have an awesome setup bro. But could you do this same tone with a guitar that isn't that powerful for this type of music? Say like ibanez or fender?
