    A tip: if for any reason your tuner can't do the 425hz tuning normal method, 450 Hz and tuning flat of your target tune will get you the same results +/- 1 to 1.5 cents.

    For anyone using variable tuning effects such as what is found on the Line 6 Helix, use these settings as follows for a standard tuned guitar:
    435 Hz Standard E -0.3 using the Simple Pitch Block and "Cents" parameter
    425 Hz Standard E -0.6 using the Simple Pitch Block and "Cents" parameter
    425 Hz Standard D -2.45 using the Poly Pitch Block

    Some SERIOUS attention to detail here. Nailed everything pretty much...was gonna chime in about the 'Cowboys' tuning being slightly closer to 'E standard' but before I knew it you already had it down near the end...Absolutely great work! Oh! something to note, I think Dime might've used a '9-46' gauge with regard to the D standard(ish) tuning (Walk, New Level etc.). In the Dime Clinic he responds to one of the audience member's questions with this info.. ua-cam.com/video/C2kuuzG6mvU/v-deo.html. Again, GREAT work!

    Dime actually used 9-46 strings for d standard 425hz and 9-42 for e standard stuff, he always kept a 9 for his e strings even when tuning down further than d standard he would thicken the guages for the thicker strings while keeping super light guage for his high strings allowing you to bend with absolute ease. I know this for a fact because he explains it in his famous clinic video that we have all seen and he explains that his fbd ml that was in the walk video is set up with 9-46 guage for d standard.

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  2 роки тому +1

      I am very well aware of that video. And it could be true, though He also says there that songs like Walk and New Level are in drop tuning which they are NOT for sure for sure. I would not be surprise if at the time He simply A: wouldn't really wanna give away all the secrets to His tone and stuff since it was much more magical like that (especially in that era...), and/or B: He simply was'nt really paying attention when answering that question....

      @@AttilaVorosOfficial when the gentleman asks about drop d tuning he (DIME) corrects the man by saying "yea the whole thing is tuned down" meaning d standard and his guitar tech explains that he always tended to use 9 guage strings for his high end 3 and would only heavy up on the guages for the lower 3 strings for instance in olas video of dimes guitar vault they pull out that amazing hard tail d3 that washburn made for him with the snake skin which he said they had tuned to his b tuning for sand blasted skin which I belive the song on the record is actually in that weird octave G tuning but he explained that the guages were 9 through 56.

    This the first time I've seen Pantera Tuning with "Hz" on the internet, and believe me I search for it for a long time, To discover the A =43Xhz I had to calculate by hand, those are my calculations, if it's down 1/4 of a semi tone, and I Know A4 is 440hz, and A2 is 220hz, it means an octave (this octave) has 220hz, 220/12(semitones) = 18.333..., 18.333/4 = 4.58333333, só it's 440 - 4.583 = 435.41667hz!
    If my math is right, I think we Found it.

    Rex claims Walk was tuned down 20 cents from D standard 440hz in the comment section of Rick Beato's Pantera video which would make it 435hz. How did you determine 425hz? Just trying to get to the truth. It's so confusing. 😆

    Ok so just so I’m on the same page…. D Standard 425 would be the same as C# Standard 440 right? And E standard 425 is just Eb standard 440?

    Did Dime ever use 24 frets instead of 22? All of the Deans and Washburns I've seen have 22 but the solo on The Great Southern trendkill sounds like he uses 24.
