Dining through the decades vote: wartime cooking from the 40s, it would be so beneficial to see the efficiency women used during this time when they faced such unique challenges
Wanted to second this! The 1940's video Sage shared was really moving and inspiring for me as my husband and I look to get really serious about some financial goals. That time period has been a big motivator in my search for ideas on how to simplify our home and budget, especially considering all of the stress and uncertainty those generations were dealing with at the time.
I was thinking a lot about the families during the 30s and 40s last year when groceries were low and there were limits on so many items. Gleaning from the wisdom of the women in that time!
A nursing student is a full time job. Keep up the good work. As a nurse, it would be interesting to explore nursing or health problems from.the past and how we have overcome them.
VICTORIAN COOKING! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT KIND OF MEALS THEY WOULD MAKE. I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE THE KITCHEN RENOVATION. YOU CHEER ME UP, SAGE. THANK YOU.
From someone who feels stuck in the wrong decade, I just wanted to say that I love your channel. Thanks for all of the fun content. Oh, and my vote is for 1940’s wartime cooking. 😊
While I am watching I am saying: "she is a living doll" You are adorable in every way! Congratulations on the stupendous growth of your channel. I had no doubt you would surpass 100K. Next stop: 500K! As for dining through the decades I would love to see the 40"s wartime cooking. I love Maude & Mabel too! xxx
I came for the vintage morning routines, but I’ve stayed for … everything! These videos put a bit of sunlight into my days. Love from locked down Sydney!! 💕
I stumbled on your videos a month or so ago and have been watching several a day to catch up. What a blessing your videos have been while I'm recuperating from breaking all of the bones in my ankle that required major surgery to repair. I would love to see wartime cooking! Also the 10s and 20s as I've been on a huge Downton Abbey binge for a month now.
I’d love to see another Christmas decorating video from you! The garland you made in a previous one was so beautiful and unique. Maybe this year you can make eggnog from your chickens’ eggs! Also: again with the sweetness between you and James. Your evident happiness brings me happiness ❤️
Dining through the decades: 1940s wartime cooking. I've been checking out and buying wartime cooking cookbooks and am enjoying the talent that went into the recipes. We can learn so much and many cookbooks have tips and wartime memories that allow us in to that era. Love your videos and y'all. Deb in Texas USA
I am reading "The dairy of Anne Frank" right now and we are celebrating 75th Independence day today here in India. Would really love to see more about the rationing and 1940's war cooking. I don't want this series to end ever ! I love to see what people ate during those times ( I am getting of a lot of reference through the book though)
Lovely video ❤. For season two of Dining Through the Decades, my pick would either be 1930s in the Depression or Edwardian Era. Also, James is so sweet-- what with buying the roses and editing and filming most videos. You seem like such a great couple. 💕💕💕
Hi Sage! I would love to see cooking in the 1930s during the Great Depression era, and the 1940s war time cooking is also a wonderful idea! Love your videos so much!❤️
Love you. Dining in the 40s would be wonderful to see. We can’t forget about how surviving wartime has allowed us to live the way we do. Thanks for all you and James’ efforts. Your friend Regina from the coast of Massachusetts
I'm not buying Christmas presents yet, but this is usually the time I start planning what to give...and start getting what I need for the ones I plan on making. I get all my crafting supplies ready and stocked up. Next month I'll start making the ones that will take the longest to make and work from there.
Awww James! He does such a great job with filming and editing! Also I cannot wait to see the kitchen renovation! I think it would be fun to see 40s wartime cooking, or victorian cooking! I have a few Victorian and Edwardian cookbooks I haven't used yet, ooooooh boy some of the recipes are interesting (Squirrel pie -- no thank youuuuu)
So thankful for you and James and what you both do to make this content for this channel. My sweet 13 year old cat passed today so I came on here to try to see if any of my favorite channels hand any new videos this week. You are in my top 5. Thank you for always being a delightful ray of sunshine. Much love from Oregon 💚 💛
I LOVE your hair. It’s so reminiscent of the 1930s, which I love! I love the idea of hopping way back, like trying some 1850s Pioneer recipes from the Oregon trail, or 1940s wartime recipes during WW2. James is a blessing and a darling!! I’ve been so worried you and James with the new lockdown in Australia. My prayers are with you!
I would watch any cooking through the decades era. I am so glad that you make these videos, you are so sweet and a beautiful person inside out. ❤️James you are so sweet to help her with her editing ❤️
I love ur vids so much I get anxiety attacks alot and ur vids always make me feel better and you have inspired me to be a lot more energetic and do a lot of stuff and you have made me obsessed with vintage stuff 💗
I love your content so much!!! You're a breath of fresh air in these difficult days. Thank you for all you do! I'd love to see 1940s cooking. Also...James is definitely a 'keeper'! ❤
So glad that Mabel and Maude are settling in! ❤ thanks so much to you and James for creating these videos! I would love to see recipes from all of the decades you mentioned - go where you feel inspired! 😊
I love all your ideas for Dining Through The Decades and honestly, I would choose them all, season by season. So, one season for 40's wartime, one for the 1920's and maybe WWI, and one from Victorian Age. :)
Dining during the Depression also sounds good to me. Mother was a child then and told me about some of the things she and her mother did. I really respect those women who managed to feed their families during extremely hard times. And I guess the rationing during WW2 would be the same. Hard times, but women always made do. Thanks for such a sweet channel!
Lovely video, Sage and James. I, too, think the 1940's would be a great "Dining Through the Decades" year. With the war and rationing there would be so much to learn. Cherries were very popular in the decor during the 1940's and often used in wallpaper, linens, and kitchen decorations. If you like red those might be nice for your kitchen decor.
You are just so sweet like honey rolled in sugar! 🥰 I enjoy your videos immensely! A big thumbs up 👍🏻 to the next cooking series! Can’t wait! It’s so much fun to watch and learn through your videos. From watching other UA-camrs I have learned that editing can take hours. I appreciate all that commitment that you guys put in. I also love your accent. I live in the USA in the state of North Carolina, and in the western part our accent is very southern, so hearing an Australian accent is charming to me. You both bring so much to this channel, thank you! 💐
I am so proud of you, Sage!! Congratulations on 117k followers and good luck in uni!! As for Dining through the Decades, I am good with any decade you choose, it is so interesting seeing what people ate during those times.
Hi Sage! Beautiful hair cut... 😍 It's amazing how couple of centimetres make such a difference... I love it!!! And I just love Your chickens, they're so cute...and their little house and all backyard...😉👍❣ I'm looking forward to all Your next videos...🥳🥳🥳 Thank You ❣ Lots of love Sweetie, for bout of You... 💝 And lots of strength and patience during this lockdown time Sweetie...😉💪
I would love to see cooking in 40’s wartime! Always helpful as I know they were clever with recipes and using what they had during that time. Love your videos! ♥️♥️
I think wartime cooking would be wonderful. I also think a series someday where you do classic Australian cooking would be nice for those of us it the rest of the world who don't know much about it. I think a series where you do your husband's grandmother's favorite recipes would be nice too.
Curious to see your take on 1910 cooking. You are blessed to have James' help. Another entertaining video. Thank you as always for your positive outlook. Wishing you all the best at uni.
I loved this chatty video sage! Felt like i was sitting down with a friend over a cup of tea! Love you 😘 and yes iv actually started on my Christmas shopping as for once I’m prepared this year 😂💕
I'm hoping for war time 40's!! James is SUPER SWEET!! Helping with your channel and even getting hairspray, then to surprise you with ROSES!!! He's a KEEPER!! See ya both again soon!!💕💕
Yeah Christmas shopping sounds like a good thing to start doing now with how frequently we are in and out of lockdown, you wouldn't want to miss out on deliveries and shopping.
1940s Wartime cooking series would be wonderful!! I just canned peaches using Earl Grey sweet tea as the syrup and baked an Earl Grey cake from NY times cooking channel. Thank you James for being pivotal in allowing this wonderful content to flourish and making my days so much happier when I have the treat of seeing another awesome video :) this channel is one of my guilty pleasures!
Sage I just love your videos. They are just a bright spot in my day. I am kind of bed ridden right now. I am going to have to have a total hip replacement soon and I intend to watch all of your videos and get caught up. Much love to you and James.Thank you for making these.

Hellou Sage! I would and i think many others would like to see too the dining trough the decades victorian way! That would be the most awesome thing!! ❤️ Of course wartime and before that is also very good, just do them all, youre so good! Thank and love xx
Moored and Mabel are so cute I can’t even take it and I love this video that you did to her to get ready for them to style. And yes the 1910’s cooking would be cool to see!
Love your videos, 1940’s wartime dining through the decades would be interesting to watch, also early 1900’s or 1920’s and 1930’s. Looking forward to watching your thrifting videos. 😊👍🏼

Absolutely agree!
Rationing and 1940s would be great. Thank you, Sage, for making me smile.
