Grace has a pleasing voice, she has power and exudes confidence. Keep it up girl, you have a future in this business
I get the feeling that if Grace really let it rip, she could blast this vocal into orbit. She has great vocal control with this very difficult song, well done. Great rendition and work by all on an all time Nirvana classic.
My only thought that wasn't 100% positive. She needs a little grit/rasp/maybe anger? in a few spots and even Kurt would melt. Cuz her voice is like butter on silk everywhere else.
I think she pretty much did "blast this vocal into orbit." It's a dark song, and I think her rendition is literally perfect in style and execution. Judging by her reaction at the end, pretty sure she hit it exactly as planned, and exactly as her musical director/producer intended. But I certainly agree that her power and control are quite impressive, which is why I'd love to hear her do some stuff that's designed for more power, especially stuff by Grace Slick or Beth Hart.
Great vocal Grace. You nailed it. Respect from the UK!
What a bloody fine job that was young rockers. Boy that brings back memories of good times in High School band commpetion.
Superb vocals. This is a surprisingly difficult song to sing (requires strong breath control). The production was far better than so many other SoR’s. My daughter was immersed in SOR for 2-1/2 years and she was a front “man” for the House Band (guitar, bass, vocals). I know how talented these kids are. Best of luck going forward!
i’ve always loved this song as a girl and sang it myself but never thought to see a girl sing it perfectly in obsessed
She has a great voice, I don't know why the engineer needed to mess with the mix that much.
Nice job, Atlanta! I liked Grace's little rising finish at the end of "craaaaack." Nice touch.
Fantastic job by all! There's really no standouts, because everyone crushed their parts!
Hey-these kids are really talented! And the young lady on vocal does a superb job bringing a clean delivery to this grunge-rock 90’s Classic! Well done, cats!
I love every single instrument and vocal in this one! Awesome.
Love it!! Fantastic sound
Beautiful voice
These guys are AWESOME, and they DO NOT MISS.
Simply Amazing!!!
She has a great voice and the band played fantastic
Really enjoyed this, you nailed it!!!
That was awesome, the band and the vocals.
Grace, if someone ever makes a Joan Jett movie, I think you would be great playing her part!!!
Each song a outstanding performance, perfect concerning musical and technical skills like video and sound.
Nice job and beautiful voice
Great job I really enjoyed listening.
Excellent Vocals
A very difficult song to cover. Absolutely nailed it. I loved the vocals.
Damn this one brings me back to my younger years, Good Job!
brilliant! i love it!’
Killed It!
I would PAY to see this 'band' perform. On this track, they really *capture* the essence of Nirvana-homage without parody!
X2! ✋😊
NAILED IT.
Singer acts like she doesn't want to sing it. Like she lost a bet
@@jeffuffmann714 Of course Cobain himself looked very unwilling, detached and uncomfortable in the Unplugged performance...and yet these were the definitive performances.
@@rontoolsie Yes. She's got the mood just right.
Perfect!!!
Wow ... it´s perfect.
That was wonderfully done with master musicians, go for it in the future.
Man what a great match all the way around. I would love to see SoR hire some mentors to guide these great kids through the process of writing their own material...I would love to see what this particular incarnation would come up with. They seem to be on the same wavelength more than a lot other performances.
Great job 👏
Great cover well done
Muy buena versión!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 saludos desde Argentina!! 🇦🇷🤙🤙🤙
The singer should try some Cranberries songs. Her voice reminds me of Delores.
Delores was a treasure..................DAM.
Excellent set. Lead singer nailed it. Production excellent. Like the ending. Bravo!
Love this song .noce cover guys..bass player nice job
thanks dog that’s me
Very good !
Bravo!
Bass top singer top band top congratulations kids fron SP Brasil... ... ...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
tremendamente contagiosa interpretación
Rocked those masks never knew they could look so good.
Atlanta SOR house band is my personal favourite. Isaac’s edits appear perfectly synchronised as well. Do you use a really loud clap board or synch everything by eye?
Молодцы!
Very tight.
Bravi bravi bravi, ciao !!!
Спасибо за отличное настроение!!!!
The head bang girl...🤯🤯
Damn they are good. 🤘🏼
Hell yeah.
Grace was great! Would have liked to see her push it it more though. I think she is more talented than she thinks she is.
... "i love you!" ❤
Awesome-p
Hot lanta brings the grunge! Outstanding!
Wow
OMG 😲
I hope these kids go far. Are they in an actual band or just the school band?
Hi Cian
Was lucky to see Nirvana downtown Detroit mid - 90s ! P.s. mind blowing shut - up !!!
Huh. This is a first. A Nirvana cover I want to listen to more than once. I daresay more than twice. Well done.
Nice
So good got to comment twice.
Красавцы.
Someone needs to teach these kid ls to really feel the yeah yeah yeahs
Is this a rerun? Must be 2020. Great job for a second time!😷
The previous post was a private post I think--this is the same video but posted by SOR
Very frakin' nice.
Kurt would be proud 😌
The guitars need more distortion
she was holding back-but still great.
bass is kinda buried in mix but seems spot on!
Says she's not gonna crack.....2:36 she cracks. haha
Don't get the (occasional) negativity toward the lead singer, she has an incredible voice and nailed this song perfectly. Her almost deadpan delivery perfectly fits this song, and she has the voice and the control to pull it off. Literal perfection - she'll have no trouble making a career in music. I'd love to hear her do some Grace Slick or Beth Hart or Ann Wilson tunes; those are probably the best female rock vocalists ever and I think this kid could do them justice. I do wish the bass and drums were a bit more prominent, just because it's a dark song, but everybody excelled.
Just listened to a couple of versions from Nirvana with Cobain, one from Nirvana with St. Vincent, and the School of Rock Allstars version, and this version is a LOT better than any of those in my opinion. The instrumental parts are as good as any of them and the vocals are significantly better than any of those.
Grace have a great voice and I really enjoyed this version of the song. But to be honest, noone can sing it like Kurt without hurting the voice for good. He was original. That does not mean noone can do a good cover of a Nirvana song because the songs are so great that it fits any style.
great job, no need to add a disclaimer about filming safely life goes on
I'd loved to have heard a little more grit on the vocalists voice, but that's just me I suppose
Well done, nicer version.
"Lithium" arrived in 2020.
Reupload?
it had to be reuploaded because it needed the disclaimer at the beginning
Come on singer, you can put more life into this!!!!
Sounds like a chorus or flanger on her voice, it's not bad just don't see why it's there.
Drums could've been harder.
Ok Now once more, but this time as if you really meant it.
The bassist and the guitarist look like they’re the same person…
These kids need to find a non liberal school to teach them. They would do a lot better.
Sounds quite autotuney.
Nice cover. I like it. But thumbs down because of masks.
Where is the singers mask????????
Did you not watch the video or read the description?
"This video was recorded safely and socially-distanced. Our singer was in a room by herself, except for the camera man, who was wearing a mask during the filming of this video."
@@brianxyz so you're telling me she was in the same room as someone else and she wasn't wearing a mask? Very irresponsible.
@@krakalaka911 Masks are worthless buddy. Go virtue signal somewhere else.
in studios, singers are in a booth themselves
Go watch a Peanuts episode if all you want to hear is the muffled sound of "wahh, wahh, wahhhh"
She just lacks the energy, but besides that, great performance.
The singer is good but the autotune makes it sound horrible.
Makes it sound like kids bop
Ugh I can't believe you guys were told to slap that useless fabric on your faces.
holy autotune
honestly i was like wtf
Yeah that was a weird choice.
@@FleshGolem420 Don’t think it’s intended as an effect. I think they were going for some pitch correction and were a little heavy handed with it.
@@ViaticalTree Could be.
Please ditch the face condoms. Stop listening to Fauci.
Seems like she's not happy even doing the song, let alone even into it. Terrible..
Maybe you are not able to understand the message of the song. You probably don't even know why Lithium is used for treating human beings.
@@horsts5986 Actually my ex girlfriend had bipolar disorder and took the shit dumb dumb, I do know what it's used for. I'm also a big fan of Kurt Cobain in general and in my opinion she wasn't very good and I'm sure Kurt would had thought the same being he absolutely hated garbage bands to begin with lol! Fuck out of here, your probably ten.
Your new name is Horstshit🔫
Lol, playing nirvana while mask apologizing in a private residence. To rock, you must have balls. There is no grit here.
Umm no offense to any of the musician or vocalist. But felt like like you softened down the angst of an entire generation by choosing to sing clean. To me it just felt like a song with no emotions, the notes were in place, the arrangement tight, but no emotions!! An AI would sing like this not a human. Please don't disrespect the greatest fruits of our generation by appropriating it to fit the contemporary needs. Please leave Nirvana alone, and try out Chris Cornell as a Challenge.
Nirvana means medication to a lot of us people.
That’s what I’m saying there’s no grit or energy or spirit into this from the vocalist. This is the type of song you sing with no effects just straight raw vocals and with everything you have. The guitars could of had more distortion and drums with more power.
Sorry but the singer lacks of energy for this song .
The young girl has no modesty. Shame. Poor misguided youth. Loved the music.
Ur a weirdo. She’s dressing like a regular teenager
Biff
Its about the vocals and band talent. She is a teenager- they wear what they feel suits the moment
Biff, she is a musician / singer. This is rock and roll, and she is a teenager. Get your mind out of the primal sexualization of everything not male, and enjoy the music as it is presented.
@@davidbenoit7818 hear hear, enough said
She is good to me, who are you to judge? 😂😂
