      hi guys, the best success that I have ever had was by following the Seans Shy Program (i found it on google) - without a doubt the most incredible idea that I've seen.

    I was extremely shy when I watched this video 6 months ago and did it because I was single and wanted to learn to flirt, because flirting is to give attention to someone, that's all. And now I work in a luxurious place where I walk all around the place gretting and smiling to people and giving directions 😂😂😂 I'm very kind but I never knew how to act confident in front of others and now I get close to strangers with a smile and they feel my energy and that I genuinely want to serve them to the best of my abilities. The universe looked at my hard work and dedication and put me in a place where I feel good serving others.

    This channel is criminally unknown. Right after I watched this video I did this and it worked so well... Got the "social gears" going in my head and made me so much more confident. So many other videos on this channel are amazing, you're doing God's work Dr. Aziz

    Hey I just said hi to 40 people on an extremely busy street in Hong Kong and man, only like 5 people actually say hi back to me LOL. Hong Kong is a place where everyone thinks others will do harm to them... Or they are just really surprised and look at me with their mouths open hahahahahaha. It was a really good experience though! If I ask them a question like where did you get that food? They would answer. But if you just say hi, people generally don't say hi back and they will just ignore you or give you a weird look.

    doing 50+ of these every day, and my man, you should get a noble prize for inventing this. i learned exactly what you said that i'd learn. i feel that the world is a lot friendlier, i am lot more tolerant to rejection. you are an awesome psychiatrist. i'd love if you made more videos about exercises similar to this one but just a bit more riskier. i'm thinking of stopping hot women and asking them what hour is it but my mind is telling me don't do it. you used to talk to 5 women a day as an exercise so how did you do it?

      It has magic in it, doesn't it? Upping the discomfort level is always the next step once you achieve mastery of this at any level. Start off by doing several at a comfortable level to warm up. Then start picking more difficult targets, start asking more difficult questions, etc. Change the goal of your interactions. For example, make it goal to get rejected ten times. Each rejection is a win!

    I think another way if this makes you too anxious is to walk into a bunch of stores and say hi to the store clerks, pretend you're looking around and go to the next one. They're less likely to do something negative towards you and its more of a normal interaction. Could also do this in your workplace or other places. I think it can build your confidence just as well.

    Reminds me of the talks Leo Buscaglia use to give on PBS TV. He also did the saying hi to people, with some funny results. Loved when one woman he had said hi to number of times before, on the college campus where he taught, said - "why did you say hi to me, I don't know you"...and Leo said " YES, you know me, I said hi to your yesterday"

    Thanks for the great advice. I really have great difficulty in meeting people and hopefully this is the start in the right direction. I always get so nervous though when I am around anyone and then I start to stutter badly so I have avoided people in the past. Generally I am pretty quite and keep to myself.

    Hey Man, I'm not too far from you. I'm in Ashland Oregon. I would come up there and do some more videos like this to get peoples reactions.
    Today I asked someone how they were doing outside of the CO-OP here and this guy just looked at me for a minute and said "Do you really want to know the whole story?" I thought that was hilarious!. Then as he road off on his bike he said to himself "I guess I'm not doing that bad".

    The one thing I dont understand is when everybody says "be yourself". How am I supposed to be myself if I'm always afraid with other people are thinking? I keep avoiding women and social situations thinking a fluke is going to happen like for example a girl talks to me first.

    • @GetMoreConfidence
      @GetMoreConfidence  5 років тому +1

      That is usually poor advice for several reasons. First you need to become the "you" you want to be. Work on learning confidence and putting it into practice to get you to your goal.

    • @georgehiggins1320
      @georgehiggins1320 4 роки тому

      Watch a lot of these videos dealing with how to be confident in yourself regardless of how others think, then practice practice practice talking to strangers of both genders. The more practice you get, the more you will realize a vast majority of the time, people are very friendly and they appreciate it if you initiate. In the rare occasion they don't, it's no big deal. You can just go try again with a new person!

      One thing you can try is to wave to people from your car as you pass on the highway! I saw another video where Aziz said that you don't have to do something that's a 10 out of 10 in terms of scariness. Maybe start with more like a 3 or 4. Something that might feel a little awkward but you can shake it off. Keep doing things that are a little bit scary and soon they will become second nature! I'd love to hear how you're coming along!

    • @georgehiggins1320
      @georgehiggins1320 4 роки тому

      You may have to do it through your nervousness. In fact, if you're nervous and your heart rate goes up or you start sweating a little, that's great! It means that you're doing something outside of what you're comfortable with and you're doing something that will help you grow!

      In my experience, I've never had this happen. If it happens though, I would just say, "oh I just wanted to say hi. You looked friendly!" Or something of that nature.

  • @LeslieFlemons
    @LeslieFlemons 9 років тому

    That sounds like a great technique, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable saying "hi" to random people like that.

    • @georgehiggins1320
      @georgehiggins1320 4 роки тому

      If you're uncomfortable with doing it that's great! That means it's something outside of your normal comfort zone and if you do it, it will help you grow that comfort zone! If it's something that is a 10 on a scale of 1-10 on scariness, maybe start with something easier, like a 3 or 4. You might try waving to strangers in cars as you pass them on the highway or just complimenting someone on their clothes or something. Keep doing slightly uncomfortable things and do them often and they will start to become second nature! Keep it up! I hope you keep going with this!
