He seems really excited about his job.
That's what I thought first second he started speaking
i know lol
🤣🤣🤣
Finally, A representative who actually carries a legit knife and not a gimmick.
mozzberg right I bet the guy at Gerber is carrying that cartoonish butterfly machete in his pocket........
I think they called it the 2020 gimmick! Lmfao!
That cough at 2:34 hits different now 😷
Gorgeous knives thanks for sharing !
The moment benchmade loses the Axis lock, everybody starts making them
I just bought a benchmade AND a bear and son today lol
Great job Bear . He obviously didn't feel well but some great knives coming out from down south. I really like that executive one and the one the Bear guy was carrying.
Bear and sons was the first Bali I ever bought. When I would try and open it one of the handles would grind on the blade at the hinge, so flipping was not even an option. I contacted them and they pretty much told me it was my problem. This was quite a few years ago and I have never bought another BS knife again.
Omg I love that Ti S35VN knife! and in CF!
Hank Hill selling knives now???
Ball bearings, pocket clip, balisong, I'm sold
Hell yeah! I'm thinking about getting the tanto style one! 😀
Cold Steel Knives Please !!!
Nothing too exciting from them this year!
Maybe for you. I want the 4 max scout the Kris Ti Lite the double safe hunter the click and cut...... well pretty much all of them
Damn that executive one looks neat, I’ll definetly check it out.
I'm glad Jack made it around to Matt and the Bear & Son booth...
I enjoy a spring loaded latch & a pocket clip
Zach, Jamie! Y’all need to run around shot show and check people’s edges! Like y’all did at Blade HQ!
Very nice line up! Glad to see the new trainer
it is ?
The higher end S35VN and titanium scales one has my attention.
What was that model called?
@@CatholicBossHogg they didn't say a name. Least I didn't catch the name
Yeah me too. Just hope they don’t put an astronomic price tag on it
@@CatholicBossHogg Rancor VIII Executive. 👍
Kind of looks like a zt
Glad to see they are stepping their game up. Those TI, and CF ones look like their gunning for ZT, hopefully not at the same price point haha
Cool.
02:40 That’s a nice Benchmade bailout
God damn this made me chuckle
Perfect Bali price point. Good sh#t
You would think Bear and Son would want someone with more enthusiasm for their brand as a spokesperson.
Clayton Rooted just seems like a no bullshit kind of a guy
I'll take knowledgeable over enthusiastic
They just need to get David from WE to fill in.
They need a David clone like all the other booths....
Phil Sinex As would I but this man was neither. Nothing against the guy but he didn’t seem like he liked knives.
Daaaaaaaamn! Bear & Sons is stepping up their game!
Fried Pi 3.14159 100%. They’re going from crappy zinc handles to more higher end balis. They also designed the most recent kimura balisong which is cool
I liked his carry knife, but I noticed it's got 2 different handles. When did that become so prolific? I can't get behind it. I think it looks awful. I like both handle sides to be the same on my folders.
The bear song viii is such a good knife for 110
If you bought the knife do you still have it now, if so how is it doing?
Love that bama accent. Def looking at getting the VIII with a tanto.
Love the video
any one have any new sharpening systems out
5:17 respect
Is Chris Reeve Knives at shot show this year?!?!
Just waiting on microtech n protech!!
Protech came out last night.
Balisong!.. a batangas double blade knife originated in The Philippines
Some say it was the French sailors had them first.
First recorded Bali's were French actually.
Love a company from my home state
@Charlie Nash, all we got here in my home state is SOG and Bob Kramer. Lol
They do good work too. Bit more threadlocker on their automatics and they'd be perfect.
damn bear and son sounds like a badass bushcraft fix blade company
funny knife name.. bear and son ? haha!
All these pinned knives are doomed to break eventually. Make sure you get a balisong with screws
How about a Bali with a pocket clip. As of right now I'll keep my eyes open for Benchmades on sale
made down her in AL👍
Great job bear&son. You decided to use the axis lock which is one of the very few completely ambidextrous locking mechanisms only to leave out a ambidextrous pocket clip. Huge fail
We always get LEFT out. Thank God for the Benchmade mini grip
I just think it’s time for lefties to start learning how to carry RIGHT! All my knives would look better without those silly drill holes on the SHOWSIDE!
@@TrustNoOne88 OR companies need to start making left handed models, a few do but the majority doesnt
@@TrustNoOne88 sorry man can't do that. I don't carry my knife for looks. Bet your knives sure look nice sitting on your shelf tho 🤭
Michigan Truther - ROFLMAO!!!
That trainer has a very sharp point! Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that.
ATX14 - I was looking at that and also was thinking the same thing. That’s going to get someone hurt.
That is the loosest I've ever seen anyone wear a watch!
Sooo why are other manufacturers able to make the same as benchmade "axis lock"
Patrick Diaz the patent expired
@@shawue8153 thanks!
What is the name of the knife at 3:25? thanks
Rancor VIII Executive. 👊
Sorry, I just fell asleep. What are we talking about?
These guys have yet to knock it out of the park.
Where is Kurt
Why kurt lol
Ninth
I can’t take any company that still makes a butterfly knife seriously. It’s a carnival prize.
John L - I never found a use for them. Junk and a gimmick.
Lamo, what? Butterflies have the best lockup of literally any style of pocket knife. The only way for the lock to fail, is for the handle to break.
so you can't take Benchmade seriously? Bali's are some of the largest blade knives that you can easily carry concealed in your pocket. And as Ix -XIC mentioned, they are basically the strongest locking pocket style knife you can get. Your opinion screams ignorance.
The cheap ones are. The high-enders? No.
How you gona make a titanium handle and put a folded steal pocket clip on it.... Weres the milled clip.. Step your game up bear and sons
He kinda comes off arrogant or to good to do youtube interviews. Idk maybe its just me
a Little yeah, but hes obviously not feeling well.
Am I the only one who thinks the riped off a benchmade on the third knife, and the Kershaw leek in the forth one.
Peter Casper benchmade’s patent on the axis lock has expired all manufactures are using similar locks on their knives
They need to stop using zinc for there handles… it’s junk
Literally a rip off of the ti-87
Damn what a shame I noticed the packaging in the back. I won't buy anything in clamshell packaging for a multitude of reasons. DEAR KNIFE COMPANIES PLEASE STOP DOING THIS. NO ONE LIKES, WANTS NOR NEEDS CLAMSHELL PACKAGING.
Matt clearly hates his job.
Lmao bear ops/bear and son, terrible company to get bali’s from
DJEyelessPyro I’ve got one of their Bali’s. I bought one of their more expensive ones. I’ve got an older Bradley and several others that are more expensive and honestly, I feel good about what I got for my money from Bear & Son’s. My other Bali’s are really good. But they cost a whole lot more.
@@FriedPi-mc5yt For sure! They're not Benchmade or other higher end blades, but decent quality for the money.
@@sturmgewehr70 I mean, I disagree, I don't think they're worth the money at all, and I think their quality is extremely inconsistent
DJEyelessPyro The Bali I got from them was about $80. I’ve got a couple Bali’s that cost about $100 or so over that. Yes, the Bear needed a bit of tweaking when I got it. It was loose as hell at the pivots. But I took it apart, oiled it and tightened them up with a bit of loctite. Still no slop after lots of carrying and a bit of flipping. I don’t use it as a regular flipper though. It’s a work knife. I’m not nearly as afraid of losing it as I would my Bradley. The handles are still in pretty good shape and the blade steel holds an edge as good as any of my regular AUS-8 blades. I’ve had pretty good luck with my Bear Bali. Maybe mine isn’t typical, I don’t know. For $80 I’m pretty happy with it. If they are stepping up their game, more power to them. I’m not going to shit on any company that’s trying to improve their products and try to give the buyers more bang for their buck. That’s just not my style.
@@FriedPi-mc5yt you do you man, I hope they improve, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't seem like they're going up imo
Not impressed
First
Kind of a sad line up lol
Yet another ridiculous name plate! Is that so he knows wtf he is?
The ti frame and the CF one looks so ugly, they ruined it by having that left handed clip cut out, STOP, its so annoying, a left handed person will look for a left handed knife not a right handed knife you can just move the clip on, vice versa for left handed knives. it just takes away the look of the knife when you have that stupid left handed cut out on right handed knives.
They made it functional. I like having options for carry, sometimes I need to switch it up. I also like that they cut into the handle, recessing the screws, which will make it slide in and out of the pocket better. I own a ZT 0452 and love the deep carry clip, but hate how the screws stick out, over time they have torn up my pants pocket. I think more companies should do it honestly.
Not a fan of Bear & Son, sorry :(
YuhNinja - I don’t like them ether.
