They arent illegal in most states nowadays mostly only Colorado and Cali
The trainers aren’t illegal as long as you are in a certain area so if you live in New York you need to order a trainer from america

I have been collecting balisongs ever since I got my first one for my 12th birthday, and I love them! I am very happy with this knife! 😀 It's a perfect EDC knife because it is quite sturdy and ergonomic, but the price is reasonable enough that I'm not afraid to use it for everyday tasks at work, and it is made well enough that I would trust it to protect my life in a pinch! If you're looking for a basic balisong for work or play without breaking the bank, then this here knife is the knife for you! 😀👍

I think I ordered the same knife. I also ordered the galaxy version with the sparkly handle.
I'm 41 and I always wanted to become a weapon master. I narrowed it down to nunchucks or the butterfly knife.. I can carry the knife around and not the nunchucks so that was the deciding factor.
When I become a master of the butterfly knife, I will buy a really really nice knife.
This will be my thing. To me, it's like a fidget spinner for men.

A good entry level balisong is a trainer. This is a medium level
As a local were balisongs originated. These are given to boys as young as 9 years old when starting in boy scout. You cant train how to propery handle a knife without the risk of getting cut.
hey m8 great video, what kinda screws are on this balisong? I'm concerned with maintenance.
It has rivets, but they're stronger than the ones you find on bottom shelf gas station balisongs from China. If one does come out, replacements are available at any hardware store. If this occurs, bring the knife and if possible, the broken rivet with you to the store to make sure you get the proper size.

I’ve carried this for about a year and a half and the only problem I’ve had is the handles have seemed to sit closer together
I loved this knife when I had Jt. The weight was heavier but it had a nice feel to it. I gave it away a few years ago to a guy that wanted to get into flipping and never got it back. I don’t think he ever even really touched it. What a shame!

Benjamin Josi never had the BTR but the Boker Plus has nice g10 scales, I like it.
I bought a trainer version of this off of blade hq and the logo looks different from how it did on the website. It was loose in the box outside of its sleeve. One of the handles is higher up that the other so the pins are not aligned. Should I worry about this?

I've kinda stopped trusting all the big retailers when it comes to anything that quality matters. Maybe I've just had bad luck, but too many times I've bought knives and axes from Amazon, or BladeHQ, etc and it had defects. But I've never had issues buying directly from manufacturer.
I have a hunch that the big retailers are even only able to do what they do and make a profit by buying and selling factory defects. I don't get how they'd make a profit otherwise. I could definitely be wrong but if you have money to toss around, might be worth buying one from bear and son website and seeing if it's any better
What sheath can I use for this knife? I haven’t been able to find one anywhere.

@@bruhmoment13 Some people like to use a sheath to keep their knife nice and clean. Pocket lint, keys, and coins rattling around in pockets can be hard on the finish... I feel it though, balisongs have long handles, which makes finding a sheath that fits them difficult! 😩
