I've lost 2 benchmade 51s because of the pocket clip. And yes they were tight. I now conceal carry my balis loose in a dedicated front pocket every day. I have grown to like the feeling of having it perpendicular, it may seem uncomfortable but its better knowing its there rather than forgetting its there, then it not being there.

Idk why but when i first saw this knife on you channel I fell in love with it and knew instantly I had to own one it was my first balisong with a real blade. Extremely worth I edc it even tho I probably shouldn’t but I love.

I love the leaf blade shape of the Kimura. As stated, i wish it was a tad longer. Great review as always my man. Check out the Kershaw Lucha. I have one and love it. Great starter to get into flipping.
my jeans have a 6th pocket inside the right main pocket fits perfect love to carry when Im feeling that day calls for 2 full sized knives. So far 1st and only bali I have.
The whole first two minutes made me forget that I was writing while listening. Ended up writing a joke about a Bali into my story on accident. Thank you.

This is awesome, I’ve been watching all your eboard videos and had no idea you were a knife guy.. I just got a bamboo gtr the other day, had a boosted for a while now and got lots of knives. Microtech tach 2, Benchmade 42 and a few decent titanium frame locks. Strider, Chris Reeves, Grimso etc. Diggin ur vids, subbed!

Highly suggest checking out a BRS replicant or alpha beast! The squidindustries krake raken is another fantastic flipper!

I think you made a video of the kimura before. I think it was your video that made me get it. I got mine about a year ago. I believe it was this month last year. But on the subject of balisongs the kershaw lucha is the same price as this and as a flipper it is a steal for the price. However the blade steel isn't as good as the kimura.

I gotta say the wave feature is great on emerson's . Besides that they seem way over priced and made clunky and badly designed handle wise. I'm close to trying this Bali I want one with a pocket clip to actually carry though.

The Kimura is a joke in the balisong community, sadly a lot of new flippers think its amazing mostly due to the G10 and leafy blade shape, it is waaaay too blade heavy and just a bad flipper all around it's cheaper than the higher quality flippers so its looked at waaay too much. The Lucha is a far better choice for price to quality ratio though in the end after flipping for a few months and getting seriously into Balisongs everyone will try a BRS Alpha Beast eventually which is arguably the best main line production balisong.
Tach 3 is also an awful balisong, they look amazing super cool but aluminum handles, heavy blade, and bearings topped all by disgusting screws that need a specific Tachyon tool they add up to a shite balisong. The Tachyon 2 is infinitely better but 4 times the price. In all my opinion of both knives is strictly on the flipper point of view, the Kimura is still a decent work knife the Tach 3 not even close way too fragile.
BM87 is a solid work knife very durable and hefty but not a great flipper again blade heavy on bearings like the Tach 3 is a no no for most flippers, but as an Edc I personally use it's a good work knife the sheath is also amazing for it.

I really like the looks of that microtech (and I am sure the materials used are equally good) but those are sold out everywhere. As an example, what are your thoughts on Kershaw Lucha? Cheers.

Just got one of the CF scale ones from BHQ. These are made by By BEAR OPS and boy you can tell. Everything on it is screwed up! I told BHQ I'm not very happy with it and they gave me several options to make it right.
Is it normal for the finish of the blade to come to off with tape or even just gently cleaning it with dish soap? Beacause that is what mine did in the first 2 and a half hours I had it.

Since you took off the grip of the Kimura could you utilize any of the screw placements for a pocket clip? Just a thought...

Mine is trash. 1 good handle and 1 dead handle. Tang pins look like someone cross-eyed put them in. G10 sharp as all. I love this knife and want it to be good. Quality control in these are worse than 10-15 dollar balis.

How do you like it? Im looking for a first Bali and this one is what I keep coming back to.
The Awakened I liked it. I’m kind of a beginner so it was my first non practice, and it feels good. The g-10 can sometimes wear down the fingers, but the balance and smoothness of the parts are the make it all worth it. The only thing I would change is make the latch spring loaded, but definitely a good go-to balisong because of it’s price.

You 100% should! I paid $180 for mine a year ago and it still flips great! My only problem is how sharp the blade is. If the blade touches you you’re getting cut and I’ve never had a cut from this knife that wasn’t pretty bad lol

if only they didn't billboard their name all over the blade. makes it look like some hardware store blister pack beater. not a huge fan of the blade shape either. not leafy enough like a spyderco to be appealing but oddly shaped enough that it makes my ocd sense tingle a bit.
I have a 2018 Kimura and it's by far my least favorite balisong. It's insanely blade heavy even with the g10 scales on, the handles feel awful since they're short and either way too oblong or way too flat with the scales off, and the knife is way too short to flip comfortably yet it is still my heaviest balisong, heavier than my Alpha Beast, of which is significantly larger. The blade is incredibly uncomfortable to do anything with as well. As of the quality, the play is awful and I have to tune it after using it for 5 minutes even with loctite. It's also around the same price as the Kershaw Lucha, of which is way more easily recommendable. Overall, there's no way that I, as someone that's been flipping for years, can recommend the Bradley Kimura 2018 for the price.

kershaw sold the bradley line to bear and son so this kimura is absolute trash compared to the old ones.
