Thor..
"Immigrant Song" is probably the Zep song that is most famous for its use in movies. It was used in "School of Rock," "Shrek the Third," and "Thor: Ragnarok." It always catches the ear and is a highlight whenever it is used.
Roberts voice was never the same after this song and he needed vocal chord surgery. After the surgery I don't think he sang this again Live.
Yes, Valhalla.
This was inspired by a Led Zeppelin trip to Iceland and is written about the Viking invasion of England.
"Valhalla I am coming"
"On we sweep with threshing oar, our only goal will be the western shore"
"We come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow"
"We are your overlords"
Not exactly pleasant lyrics, but it's what happened. Bloody invasion by men in longboats who wielded axes.
It was about the People of the North, the Germanic Peoples, from their experiences when they first burst on the Scene outside of England, (in America it was Boston) then in Northern Europe, Northern Germany, (there is a Home Movie they made of their Travels) Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Norway, and you know this story, they had to change their Name because of the Zeppelin Family objected to it use without consent, Countess Von Zeppelin eventually consented.
It's all about vikings and Norse mythology, it was written after the band played a gig in Iceland. Another great LZ song.
If you have seen Thor Ragnarok this song plays in the beginning of the movie. The studio version of this song is only about 2 and a half minutes long. Such a legendary song and nice to see this live performance. Great reaction Biss!!❤🤘
Heart used the base riff in the song Barracuda as well, which is played in the Shrek movie.
Shrek as well
It's also in School of Rock with Jack Black.
@@JoeMon491 been a long time since I’ve seen that movie. Need to watch it again. Such a good movie.
@@adenauerlemos7926 I always thought Heart ripped it from Achillies Last Stand by LZ, not this one. Maybe I'm wrong though.
Definitely need more Led Zeppelin reactions. They (and Black Sabbath) are the godfathers of heavy metal.
AND DEEP PURPLE :>)
have a look at Budgie
They were heavy rock not heavy metal
Yes, you've heard it before. Shrek, School of Rock and Thor Raganarok are 3 that come to mind.
Me I heard it back in the seventies the first time. 😁
Yeah😅, I play this as request to a bunch of 20’ish year olds , they immediately have a smile on their face and recall with delight that they remember this song from Shrek, they just never knew the band that sang this song ,BTW am 56 years old 😢 😅
Lucky bastard! I had to wait another decade.
Ragnarok…epic
Can you imagine been there in the crowd , how amazing would it have been, no one else was making sounds quite like Led Zeppelin, what a unique experience it must have been
As you now know, this great song was used in the Thor films, my daughter got into Zeppelin because of this and it made me glow with pride 😊
Excellent live version, not heard or seen it before, Bonham was a great drummer for sure.
Also it saddens me to know that I'm 6 years older than your father 😮😅
1972 I was 9 😮 This song does stand the test of time !
One of the most iconic intros.. probably heard it in movies or something. I never saw led zepplin in concert (not old enough), but I did get to see Robert Plant and they played this song. Legendary voice.
This and Stairway to Heaven are probably the top well-known LZ tracks. Immigrant Song has been used in several movies and shows from School of Rock to Thor Ragnarok. I would have been surprised if it hadn't sounded a little familiar.
You forgot one of the Shreks.
@Boki thanks! I thought Pixar had done something with it, but I couldn't remember what!
Stairway was STOLEN
Mr.SmithGNR Smith
Nonsense. Stairway wasn't stolen. Zeppelin won the court case. TWICE. Jimmy Page proved he already played an opening very similar to Stairway when he was guest guitarist on a song called Ice Cream Dreams by a band called Cartoone. This was in 1968 BEFORE Led Zeppelin ever went to America age shared a bill with Spirit a few times.
The chord progression is as old as the hills. It goes back hundreds of years. Spirit didn't invent them. 😂
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 OMFG dude. It went to court and it was found it wasn't. It's only like the first 4 notes are the same anyway. The freaking song is over 50 years old and no one EVER heard of the other song except for this law suit. And the other song pretty much sux if you ever heard it. Even the dude who wrote the other song never sued Zeppelin over it. His family did after he died on a money grab attempt that failed. Get over it all ready. It never ceases to amaze me why people who don't like something, will click on it just to hate on it. If I don't like something, I don't listen/watch it. It says volumes about you that you enjoy doing this. Haters gonna hate.
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo from 2011. Worked so well for that trailer considering where it was set. Plenty of other recent films too. Such a great song.
You mean the American remake of GWTDT.
I saw then live in 1970 in California and it was the best rock musical performance I've ever witnessed.
Nice ,I was at this concert it was in Australia at the Sydney Showgrounds.
I have seen both led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath live. Along with Stevie Ray Vaughan b.b. King Boston rat. Iron maiden Peter Frampton Metallica. Quiet riot. Ozzy Osbourne. Excetera. I wish I would have seen Cancerbero. He was the best of us in hip Hop. Please react to him. Gracias mamita😊
John B on drums. Best ever. His son now does covers of Zep!!
You may have heard it in shrek 3? Thor: ragnarok and School of Rock also used it
You may have heard the sound you are talking about in the Greta Van Fleet "Highway Tune" video you reacted to because they do that in their video. 👍✌️
Only the best music of the 70's. Nice reaction.....
So I wasa 12 years old then. I never saw LZ ion concert but, have seen Robert Plant a few times with various solo projects, and one that RP and JP toured together.
You mentioned they didn't have synthesizers in 1972. I suggest you check out Emerson, Lake, & Palmer's albums from '70 and '71. Keith Emerson was a keyboard genius and one of the early masters of the Moog synthesizer and he was not the first.
Snow White sings it in a Shrek movie. Thor Ragnarok also has it. This is a very popular "battle scream". Another great reaction!
This is where it's from! It's the original! Everywhere else it's used is a copy or a sample!
You pretty girl have selected a fine video of Zeppelin live. Robert had the voice and the hair. I hope you enjoy it!!! Back sometime in the mid-1980's I saw Robert perform as a solo artist. The man can sing!!!!! The one part you mentioned may be the intro. to a music show on TV. Rock on lady...................
this band was the first I heard as a child, my father listened to it a lot, and I still listen to it today. in my opinion is the best band
Thor Ragnarök, and in the lyrics are line like " hammer of the gods" and "Valhalla ,I am coming"... my absolute Zeplin song , a real war song in my opinion.
First song on Led Zeppelin III then the whole album.
There Is no band like Led Zeppelin young women !The one and only Led Zeppelin the greatest rock band of all time !! 😁🤘
When this song came out I am pretty sure they opened new faults in the Earth. They just put the hammer down in this song.
Robert plant and jimmy page also have a band called "the honeydrippers".. My favorite song is 'I got woman', a cover song from the famous rock n roll singer in the 50s 'Elvis Presley'
Greatest band ever! This is about Viking invasion. You heard this on Thor Ragnorok...Shrek and School Of Rock.
I am 5 years older than your dad and I love this band too!
One of my stomping grounds, Sydney Showground in Australia, though I was a bit young to experience this, 1972 I think
Excellent, Led Zeppelin is a rock band legend from England great song beautiful Bisscute and enjoy your reaction 👍
1972 there were no personal computers. No cell phone existed. No drum machines. To have an adequate sound system in a stadium was a rather new and unique thing.
I was there, I was 17 at the time...The film footage taken from the band's performance at the Sydney Showground in Australia in February 1972; The audio track was from a Long Beach Arena show, in Los Angeles, in 1972.
I was 11 when I heard the studio version of this song on the radio. That was the moment I became a metalhead, and I've never liked back. They were my favorite band for 30 years. I then heard Opeth in 2001, and they became my favorite band, and in 2021, I found Lovebites. They are now my favorite band ever, and I'm not sure if that will ever change.
Nice, glad you enjoyed this ❤️
Trent Reznor did a version with Karen O on vocals the was at the beginning of Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. Crank it up, and get carried away.
This song is about the Viking raids in England over 1,000 years ago.
this song was used in Movie Thor Ragnarok when Thor backnto the bridge with just one eye to atack the zombies of Hela
I know it’s in a lot of movies but I definitely remember hearing this song from Shrek and Thor Ragnarok
The song from Wonder Woman 1 has a similar wailing cry from Robert Plant, that type of singing has a name just look it up.
This plays at the end of one of the Shrek movies. Snow White is at the beginning singing.
You should do a reaction to led zeppelin When the levee breaks your ears will be in heaven
I think it's also been done on Shrek, Trent reznor did a cover version as well for Girl W.The Dragon Tattoo as well - think it was also in a commercial or two as well
Favorite Zepp song overall 🤘
Robert Plant was a big fan of Norse Mythology and Lord Of The Rings.
This is reflected in the lyrics of some of Led Zeppelins music
Heart covered zeppelin for an award show tribute. You should check out their version of stairway to heaven from the Kennedy center honors
If you saw the movie School of Rock, this song features heavily. That could be where you know it from.
Kicked off the third album (1970).
even HULK wold think 2 times when seeing Bonham energy
You may have heard it if you ever watched Thor Ragnarok. It's played at the beginning of the movie when he escapes from the Devil looking dude, and again at the end when he's kicking the sh*t out of all the bad guys on the Rainbow bridge. As someone who knows this song, when I heard it kick in when I saw it in theaters I both burst out laughing and was banging my head and feet to the groove.
A Zeppelin suggestion, if I may: Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand (Live Knebworth 1979)
Cute accent, cute face, cute voice... Ok. You are definitely "BissCUTE."
Always love your Zep reactions and of course I adore you too, Biss
Hello Bisscute you are looking very beautiful in this video and reacting to a great song🔥❤️😘🤗
Thanks for your reaction 👍
It's one of my favourite songs.
Excellent reactions. Thanks for Keeping it real!!!
The clip is recorded in Australia and the song is featured in, among other movies, Shrek 3 and School of Rock.
Hey Biss! If you want to see the other version of the same coin after Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant founded a duet band, and they explosion together. I indicate the "Unledded The Truth Explodes" from No Quarter Album. They have a live video clip on youtube, played in the middle of the street in one city in the middle-east. It is one of the best live videos I have seen before, possibly by the energy of the people around the band.
Great reaction to an iconic band and iconic song. You really know how to appreciate music. Def big chance you heard a part of this song before it’s been in so much. Thor Ragnarok, Avengers Infinity War, Shrek, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, School of Rock just to name a few. Keep up all the good work
👋 glad you do and like live versions, maybe not so much here, but led zep are famous for putting lots of improv in their concerts, good choice biss 👍
Just like you expose me to new music, I love it when younger generations love and appreciate classic music. Great job.

to react to led zeppelin.getting the lead out really gets the blood flowing. From all of Biss Nation your AMAZING 😝😜🤪🤩AMAZING!!!!!
Led zeppelin "trampled under foot" !!
One of their best songs. This is long overdue for your reaction. Glad you did this.
I'd recommend Led Zeppelin's first album - studio version. Then on you go. . .
To comment on your statement about their talents given the times with no autotune, no production effects, horrible equalization, very limited channel interaction, and bad time sequence adjustment capabilities...you have the capability to see these legends play in a modern-era setting via the Celebration concert videos, but even here, the band specifically ordered the audio team to not doctor the sound, to leave it as raw as possible with only the considerations of the mix placement and venue specific adjustments to ensure everyone hears the sound being produced and not run into issues with echo or noise cancelation. Plant's words paraphrased were, "they paid to hear us, all our flaws included, not a bloody computer. It is the imperfections that give a concert life of its own, differentiating it from other concerts. Let's do our part and give them what they paid for".
I know you have reacted to the song Kashmir before, but the version from the Celebration tour is epic for all the reasons noted and for the added reasons of longevity and the incredible story of the drummer's son being on stage playing an epic concert with his dad's bandmates, the legends that they are, and doing so not just in a fitting manner, but an epic performance of a lifetime himself.
Ooohhh my request. Thx Bisscute. Rock on!
No rock n roll band can come close to these four God's
My favorite band. So many great songs. You may have heard this song in the movie: Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
I was a 16 year-old high schooler in 1972 and Led Zep was certainly a dominant band during my teen years. The other movie where this song appears is one of the Shrek movies.
Me to actually still 15 and was lucky enough to see them just three shows before this gig in Perth.West Australia.Fantastic Rock concert and still the best I've seen !!
Led Zeppelin is incredible even today with Jason Bonham substituting for his father John on the drums!!!❤️🙏👏
They did a one night benefit concert with Jason...Celebration Day...in 2006
My guess is you heard the "AAAA" part from the Wonder Woman movies, where they use it as her theme (a bit surprised nobody else mentioned it in the comments). The very first time they used it was when she was introduced in Batman vs. Superman.
One of my prefered of them! And this riff is very stormy and unic
From Thor. It's a song about Thor, before Marvel put Thor in to the pop culture. Supposed to be a joke track....fans LOVED it.
One of my favorite song from golden collection of Led Zeppelin 🤘🤘🤘🤘 gods of rock 🤘🤘🤘 Robert Plant with his legendary high voice notes are killing it in every song 🤘🤘🤘 I'm so happy that this iconic song are part of the marvel universe and takes huge part in Thor Ragnarok movie as the main movie song 🤘🤘🤘🤘
You might have heard the "aahhahhah" in a Jack Black movie (School of Rock).
This is good workout music 🎶 💪
In 100 Years time, they will be remembered as the Beethoven or Mozart of their day.
I saw someone else react to this, and they recognized it from Shrek 2. I mean, it's a very famous thing so you might've heard it in a lot of places, but maybe that's it.
In Shrek II, Snow White goes medieval with this song playing.
I don't think there is a Led Zeppelin song I don't like. I grew up with Stairway to heaven as my first encounter with the band when I was a small child. My uncles whom still lived at my grandparents place where I spend lots of vacations loved Led Zeppelin ( amongst other great bands ) so it was part of my daily diet of music in the 70s. The Immigrant song is short, powerful straight in your face ROCK... I love it and always sing along although I can not do the high notes ... I leave those to Robert Plant. Thank you for reacting to one of the all times great rock songs. ~Vals
You should listen to the song Barracuda by the band Heart. You'll hear a similarity if Nancy's guitar work in the opening. Also check their cover of Stairway to Heaven from the Kennedy Center Honors program.
As a teenager of the 70's I look back and feel I was lucky to hear new albums from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Genesis, etc when they were first released and not classics we see them now.
If you want a little smile?
Check out Jack Black officially requests permission from Led Zeppelin to use Immigrant Song for the movie School of Rock 😉
Of all of their songs, this has been my favorite since I was a kid some years ago. Not for the popularity of it but waaaaay before it became a theme for Thor and the marvel universe
You will enjoy "Lola" by the Kinks.
Other than Thor: Ragnarok, I heard someone say they heard the vocals in Shrek.
exactamente, como é que este grande som já foi feito à 50 anos. incrível
The Plant scream was sampled and used in one of the Shrek movies
The "aaa Ahaa" is also in Shrek.
Probably the most famous LZ song except for 'Stairway to Heaven' or 'Kashmir'
Kashmir was sampled by Puff Daddy for his track used on the Godzilla movie soundtrack.
You probably heard this on School of Rock or Thor Raganok. I think it was also used in a Shrek movie although I'm not sure which one.
I think it was in Shrek the third
It also plays during the byfrost battle scene against Hela's undead.
You may have seen Snow White's rendition of this in Shrek. BTW love your reactions.
You have heard this all over the place. Very popular to sAmple and use.
Very good reaction, there are other led zeppelin songs that are softer and have another atmosphere, also very good like The rain song or going to california or all my love,or the battle of evermore inspired of the lord of the rings
Led Zeppelin is too cool for our body in 2023, how were this f***ing coolness in later 60's and early 70's?
Hi bisscute ❤ california ed this song was used in the movie thor ragnarok ❤ Valhalla awaits ♥
