Many people consider Led Zeppelin’s 1973 version of “Since I’ve Been Loving You” live at Madison Square Garden is the greatest live rock performance ever given.
From repeated listening since "Immigrant Song" first came out, I believed I was able to make out most of the lyrics. You can't have a discussion about the greatest rock bands of all time without Led Zeppelin in the mix. They top my list for sure, and it's no surprise that you are taking a liking to their music.
Led Zeppelin songs are a must on any classic rock playlist. You should listen to The Police next. Walking on the moon and wrapped around your finger are good ones.
The first LZ song I heard was Stairway to Heaven. I was instantly hooked. They have such a variety of songs, each very different in a lot of different styles but each is recognizable as Zeppelin if that makes sense. When I was younger I liked mainly the music. As an adult I appreciate the lyrics and meanings of the songs more. Probably my favorite LZ lyrics are from Thank You: “And so today my world it smiles Your hand in mine we walk the miles Thanks to you it will be done For you to me are the only one” Glad you are discovering them and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
Jimmy's guitar solo in this song still gives me chills.... Sad to think that kids today are only familiar with this song from Hollywood movies. Nothing like having lived through the '70's when Zeppelin was a HUGE part of our youth culture.
With electric guitar it's cool being in control of that much sound, with a big enough amp they start feeding back. The strings vibrate if left alone, so playing them is a kind of balance between lightly plucking and working with the feedback at the same time.
That guitar is Jimmy Page, for most a top 3 rock guitarist. The fun thing about this song is it is always a little different each time as his guitar solo varies a little each time. I've listened to a couple dozen versions, including bootlegs and the LA Forum 1970 might be his best swing at this immortal song. It is a Pop Culture Ikon, enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I was lucky enough to see their last EVER So Cal show (1977 - before you were born). They were about 30 minutes late, bu played for FOUR HOURS!! I think I got home at dawn.
Imagine being a kid, teenager, or young adult in 1970. You go to your local Record Store and bring home Led Zeppelin III to put onto your turntable for the very first time? The first song was "Immigrant Song" lol. What an amazing shock that would have been. I came to the camp 7 years later to hear that song for the first time, I was eight years old at that time. Great reaction when you said Well that was really high, that's Robert Plant for ya.
'No Quarter' is the other side of the medallion. The view of the people who fear the vikings are invading. And the live versions of this song are epic.

Fantastic song written after Led Zeppelin played a concert in Iceland and Robert Plant based the lyrics on their experience in Iceland - as easily heard by the lyrics "We come from the land of the ice and snow, From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow."
Also try listening to the Led Zepplin Songs. Kashmir, Black Dog, Roll and Roll, Over The Hills and Far Away, D'ymer Mak'er, All My Love. All really good songs that are popular. The Cars, Journey, Cheap Trick, Tom Petty, Talking Heads, ZZ Top all good Bands too.
Immigrant Song is my fave Led Zep song, from my fave Led Zep album = III. It's a mix of hard rock and acoustic songs. A lot of fans didn't get the acoustic stuff, but it's awesome !!
ALWAYS start with the studio versions first. Then after check out the Live ones if you want. This Live version isn’t HALF the studio version. Try that.
February 27th 1972 at the Sydney Showground. I was there with my then GF on a roof somewhere. This was the opening song. Tickets were $4 each, still a lot of money in those days. Awesome concert...

Pretty amazing for 1970,for sure.
Request; 1st song, 1st album. Amazing!!! Led Zeppelin. Hello from Texas.
@@DianeJenningsI don't know who requested the Live versions of Zeppelin, but in my opinion Zeppelin's studio recordings are what made them famous. Their Live stuff kind of.....SUX!!
Go Bucks!
This band goes bonkers...explosive, relentless rendition...pedal to the metal performance...saw them in '73, it changed me...
The best band of the world
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👏👏👍
Nice language learning!... You're all over that girl!!! The album/radio version was quite short... Maybe one of their shortest songs ever, so this extra jam portion at the end is a treat! I think Jack Black just comes at everything with a sense of playfulness and fun and not meaning anything : )
🤘🏻 I liked the end bit too!
A MUST HEAR beautiful & haunting classic track,, Led Zeppelin "No Quarter"..Studio Version...TRUST ME on this one my music lovin' sister..
Rock on!
You can't have a discussion about the greatest rock bands of all time without Led Zeppelin in the mix. They top my list for sure, and it's no surprise that you are taking a liking to their music.
They are four and the make sound like they were fourty and more. Always incredible, awesome, insane, blowing brain in thousands of pieces...
It’s a pleasure to witness someone enjoying the music I discovered when it first came out. Such an honest review. Well done Jennings.
Led Zeppelin songs are a must on any classic rock playlist. You should listen to The Police next. Walking on the moon and wrapped around your finger are good ones.
My word she is beautiful and I loooooove her accent. I could listen to her all day long
You shook me. Another great song from Led Zeppelin.
Probably my favorite LZ lyrics are from Thank You:
“And so today my world it smiles
Your hand in mine we walk the miles
Thanks to you it will be done
For you to me are the only one”
Glad you are discovering them and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin is their absolute best song!!!!
Jimmy's guitar solo in this song still gives me chills.... Sad to think that kids today are only familiar with this song from Hollywood movies. Nothing like having lived through the '70's when Zeppelin was a HUGE part of our youth culture.
Thank you for this reaction ....I LUV THIS BAND
Best band ever!!!
With electric guitar it's cool being in control of that much sound, with a big enough amp they start feeding back. The strings vibrate if left alone, so playing them is a kind of balance between lightly plucking and working with the feedback at the same time.
Oh wow! There are so many great musicians in comments with these observations that I never would’ve noticed. So cool.
Greatest Rock Band of all time! Great review!
'going to Caalifornia' is brilliant
Not only are you gorgeous you are also charming, graceful & have a beautiful voice.
I was lucky enough to see their last EVER So Cal show (1977 - before you were born). They were about 30 minutes late, bu played for FOUR HOURS!! I think I got home at dawn.
Led Zeppelin is a great band to be a fan of. Want a slow amazing song. Thank You.
One of the best Led Zeppellin song. 🎼🎼🎶🎶🎼🎼🎶🎶🎼🎼🎶🎶🎼🎼🎶🎶🎼🎼🎶🎶🎼🎼🎶🎶
Welcome to the family Diane. 💯❤️🤘🇮🇹🇧🇪🇪🇺
Usted Señorita esta viendo a lo mas grande de la musica. Grande grande grande
Imagine being a kid, teenager, or young adult in 1970. You go to your local Record Store and bring
home Led Zeppelin III to put onto your turntable for the very first time? The first song was "Immigrant
Song" lol. What an amazing shock that would have been. I came to the camp 7 years later to hear that
song for the first time, I was eight years old at that time. Great reaction when you said Well that was really high, that's
Robert Plant for ya.
I love Dazed and Confused from Led Zeppelin as well! It has all kind of rhythms and music styles.
Yes, I can finally pick back up on learning German. Thanks for the new sponsor. Danke Babbel and Diane!
Aww yay! I feel so inspired by everybody trying to learn new languages 🥰
Doing a sailboat delivery alone on Chesapeake Bay in the snow in February....crank up the Immigrant Song all the way and rock!
Saw em in 73. First concert. 60s Gibson Les Paul Custom. Love that guitar...
How can anyone not be a fan of the greatest rock band this world has ever known, or will ever know. Led Zeppelin were the best.
My favorite band since 69❤
The greatest band ever 😮
In My Time of Dying LIVE [Led Zeppelin Reaction] - Earls Court - May 25, 1975. Play it. Its a blues cover. Guitar playing is on another planet!
You hit the nail right on the head with this review Daisy…two thumbs up.
'No Quarter' is the other side of the medallion. The view of the people who fear the vikings are invading.
And the live versions of this song are epic.
I’m 66 years old
I saw Led Zeppelin concert on April 30, 1977 Pontiac Michigan at the Pontiac Silverdome
They were over 76,000 Led Zeppelin fans in the audience
It’s in the Guinness, book of world records for attendance for a single act in an enclosed area so I’m in the Guinness book of world records
Valhalla 🥳🥳🥳
Fool in the Rain is my all-time LZ favorite... check it out.
Fantastic song written after Led Zeppelin played a concert in Iceland and Robert Plant based the lyrics on their experience in Iceland - as easily heard by the lyrics
"We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow."
I never cared if I understood the lyrics or now, I just loved the music !! 🎶🎸🥁
I just love when the kids today hear music from another world.
Fantastic reaction! I loved your intro advertisment, as well, but I could listen to you babble all day long!
ALWAYS start with the studio versions first. Then after check out the Live ones if you want. This Live version isn’t HALF the studio version. Try that.
Thanks for reacting to it Diane!
No problem 😊
February 27th 1972 at the Sydney Showground. I was there with my then GF on a roof somewhere. This was the opening song. Tickets were $4 each, still a lot of money in those days. Awesome concert...
I really hope you're becoming a Led Zeppelin fan, Diane! I've been a fan since I was 15 when they released their first album in 1969 while I was a freshman in high school. I'm telling you right now, Diane, you've only touched the tip of the iceberg! You need to buy their box set and listen to it non-stop some free weekend when you can relax and take it all in. You'll be a Led Zeppelin fan for life, I guarantee it!
Funny how the thumbnail literally spells out the name of the band, and its caption misspells it.
Going to California is a really good Led Zeppelin song. Very mellow but nice.
The greatest band in the world 🌎 Led Zeppelin..Get the Led out
You really need to listen to the studio version that was on the original record. Probably the best version of it that they did.
Led Zeppelin music is so good one of the most named bands when listening 70s Rock Music. Definitely a all time favorite band. I am glad you like Led Zeppelin's songs so far on the journey of music enlightenment. 🎵 🎸🎤
Couldn't agree more! Very enlightening
