#Hyundai hasn't had the best luck in the large family SUV segment. It started 13 years ago with the Veracruz, followed up with a Santa Fe XL in 2013, but both were deemed too bland and cramped for the average American families. Enter the 2020 #HyundaiPalisade which is based on the excellent Kia Telluride platform. It's about 6 inches longer than the old Veracruz, has seating for up to 8 people, and an interior that would shock a lot of luxury buyers with excellent materials, comfortable seats, and lots of tech. Add in a price that is actually cheaper than its Kia cousin and the 2020 #Palisade should find its way onto many family shoppers short list when it goes on sale this month. - Авто та транспорт
Good evening from the East Coast everyone! Do you guys prefer the Hyundai Palisade or the Kia Telluride? Let us know below and don't worry, we are planning to do a comparison test between the two SUV's very soon!
Whichever one will be smart enough to give us a bench on the top trim
Palisade! That interior is so luxurious!
I feel like this should've been a Genesis product, but I still like it alot
Good morning from Europe!
I like the Palisade a bit better. Especially the interior
Exterior: Telluride
Interior: Palisade
Flipped for me
The Palluride
Saltie. 😂😂😂😂
Definitely!
Agreed love the interior but do not really like the way that grill looks at all on this. Love the way the exterior looks on the telluride but not too crazy about that interior.
Kia Telluride: South Korean Escalade.
Hyundai Palisade: South Korean Navigator.
That's actually a very nice comparison.
🤔
Bingo!
Practically, not the price tags...
Mharkie B Both the palisade and telluride are like luxurious cars at non luxurious prices. Heck, both of those cars would probably even have a better resale value several years later than a navigator or Escalade.
And I literally just left the Mercedes video for this when it popped up on my screen
Don't ya just love it when an embargo lifts about 6 hours after another car that was just posted?! xD
Redline Reviews No
Because you CAN,T AFFORD THE BENZ.
@@2CHACHOUU That means nothing. I own a Jaguar XJL and I'm here. I drive my Honda Accord for the most part, but I'm considering the Telluride. I'm here for the comparison.
After the Palisade I'm definitely looking forward to the first Genesis SUV.
I guess I'll wait for the Genesis one since they removed 2 of the must have features on the US model.
@@dearbulls What are those features?
@@kamala80 1. terrain selection. If you have ever watched Asian Petrolhead or some Canadian review of their version, you will see both Korean and Canadian version has not only drive mode, but also terrain mode on that Knob. It's rediculous to give Canadian sand and mud mode, while only give us snow. 2. Locking glovebox. A bad place to go cheap on. Even my 17 sonata has lockable glovebox. And palisade on other market has it. I've yet to see ANY journalist who is brave enough to question Hyundai about these issues. I'm a close follower of this car from the beginning because I want to buy it so much. How high expectation I had, how much these points disappointed me now.
@@dearbulls Thank you.
First challenge will be getting an American consumer to drop $75-85K on a Korean SUV...which is what a Genesis version of this will cost.
45k ?! 😨 that's actually not bad for the features you're getting , definitely impressive for the price. 👍
Jordan Catcher The koreans are really doing its best to offer the features of a luxury car at a cheaper price with a really good 10 year 100,000 mile warranty
Jordan Catcher, yeah 45k is a steal.
The Palisade looks expensive enough that the Jenner’s and Kardashian’s would not look out of place in one.
Went to my local electrical shop to change my bulb in my 2016 ctsv. Saw a 2015 genesis 5.0 parked. It look very nice. It only have 102000km. Guy said sunroof not working, speakers not playing, windows not working, mirrors not folding, no light in display some other stuff. Over 15000cdn in repairs. Guy left it there since last year. Fed up of it. I know im not fan of koreans but i must say im quite surprise for so much issue. My 2011 ctsv ran to 300,000km without any issues and i sold it to a fammily member who now put 420000km. Only replace the accelerator due to power loss error code which i got from a salvage car for like 100cdn. So im skeptical about these korean cars being so cheap with so many features.
@@ACURACALABAR11 yeah they're not the best long term cars. The simple ones aren't horrible they do have some really reliable simple cars. But I'm not sure about their luxury cars. Id never own korean
Hyundai has a winner here.
Nice review, thank you!
I dropped EVERYTHING so quick for this video.
I’d prefer the interior of this car and the exterior of the Telluride
Agree
Their interior is superior toToyota and other company
I would prefer Hyundai interior with Toyota Land Cruiser 😂
The redesigned highlander has a much nicer interior than its predecessor
Same
I love how he reviews all these cars that people can actually afford
While I watched a number of reviews I probably watched yours on the Palisade and Teluride more than any and multiple times. After looking at almost every three row crossover we purchased a Palisade limited and couldn't be happier, just wanted to say thank you for helping us make our decision!
This is more luxurious than my parents qx60, which is literally a pathfinder.
You're right, same engine and CVT transmission
I took my Tuscon in for an oil change last week and fell in love with the Palisade while I was waiting. My new Palisade is an SEL with the Convenience package and bench seating in the color Rainforest. I can't wait for it to arrive at the end of the month!!!
Dang 2 videos of 3 row SUVs in one day. Keep up the good work Redline Team
This and the Telluride dominate this class.
How they dominating if you dont have sales proof to back it up. I love Hyundai and all but Ford explorer and Toyota highlander been dominating this segment for along time.
@@fakedazzleful The Telluride has the sales proof, this isn't on sale yet and it's already getting more love than both the Explorer and Highlander.
@@fakedazzleful they are totally new vehicles and you know most of shoppers (esp. Americans) don't like to veer away from known things. The Corolla has been the worst in segment for the longest time yet people flock to them because... it's known to them.
@@biglee13m how is the Corolla the worst car?
@@jaredshelton4718 the car is brand new and you said it's already dominating. if you meant to say the Kia Telluride have a better interior and more spaces than its competitors. Than it would be fine. Because since Telluride been out. I've seeing only 1 of them since and that's it
Great job on the new edit style Sofyan and team! The Voiceover intros with vehicles in motion really do the trick!
Halogens should be banned on any vehicle over 30 G's
Agreed, my 18' Hyundai Elantra sport has HIDs 🕶
portknoxxa the issue is that motorcycle and oncoming drivers are blinded by LEDs especially at night but i agree it makes cars look dated and cheap
@@Datsun7705 If they are blinding drivers, then the headlights are not aimed correctly. I had HID's since 2001 on my Acura CL Type S. Then I had an Acura TL with full HID's (low and high beam), they were incredible, and nobody ever flashed me. Now I have LED's which are good, but my opinion, HID's have a sharper cut-off, and you can see better then LED's.
Yeah, I had this Mercedes a few years ago and that was the most infuriating thing. From a company with the slogan 'the best or nothing' I had lights that even with upgraded bulbs, I couldn't see shit at night. Totally embarrassing.
If you're selling a car for more than $30K, like you said, it should be LED at this point. It's kind of like this bullshit of trying to charge for navigation or Apple CarPlay. Get real, the screen is already there, it already has GPS in it. If I can buy a fully finished Garmin from Best Buy for less than $99 including profit, retail packaging, a charger, a windshield sucker, a screen. Then a $30K car can sure as shit add the $20 module needed to give a car GPS without trying to sucker me into a $2000 'technology' package.
Less of an issue with brands like Kia and Hyundai, but inexcusable with brands like Lexus that still are only just now offering consumers Apple CarPlay, five years too late.
jmen8888 right since our eyes are darkening as we age especially elder drivers
Hyundai and Kia have been killlin it since 2011. Happy to see it, competition leads to better products for consumers
Killing what ? Their own engines ! They are trash !
I have an appointment tomorrow to test drive the Telluride, I was thinking of getting her, but after seeing this beauty I gotta think about it again 🤤
I loved the way you did this intro compared to prior reviews.
SEL wheels look better for the top trim. Dual outlet would have also been nice, but man Hyundai and Kia stepped up the game big time
I love the Hyundai look, I just bought a 2019 Santa Fe 2.0T Limited. I love it.
I have watched a various number of your car reviews and I find them the most comprehensive out of many, Thank. you for such great reviews and you make it very useful to helping to make a car decision and love the independent and cross vehicle reviews. Great job and I'll continue to watch them moving forward!
This car looks like it should cost 60k EASILY
You hit the nail. It does almost cost that much now selling over MSRP with the Calligraphy package.
This video has more views on your channel than the new NSX, Supra, MB, Audi, and BMWs. I think the interior is first class for what you’re paying!
I like the exterior of the Telluride and the interior of the Palisade. Hyundai really upped their game, this looks better than other competing 3-row non-luxury SUVs.
My wife bought a 2020 PALISADE in June...I just bought mine today. We love them that much.
I much preferred this introduction to the others we've had in the past. Good volume as well for the music. Great video!
I finally drove it today it was badass
Having driven the telluride multiple times and loving it, I’d still choose the Palisade. Mainly because of the interior & secondly because of the lower price. If I could have the palisade’s interior and the telluride’s exterior into one vehicle, then that’d be perfect 👌🏾
Your reviews are one of the best, keep the good job man!
Well, no surprise you guys killed it again! Rob, that into sequence was wicked! Well done, guys!
Downshift Thanks Matt! We enjoyed your review as well! Great seeing you last week briefly. Hope to run into you again at another media drive.
@@theredline thanks for watching fellas! See you soon I'm sure👍
Props to the narrator, very well spoken. Good presentation.
My most anticipated review of this vehicle... I'm a simple, when I see Redline Reviews. I click!
Oh how I've been waiting for this finally get to see this video on the Hyundai Palisade
Great review Sofyan! That door slams wavelengths left my ears in awe👌🏾
I should trade in my GM garbage can for one of these or a Telluride
Kershaw Silverado yeah GM is trash I agree
Kershaw Silverado good idea
Hyundai is still Garbage lol Get something better from other companies
You get alot more things for your money than Chevy, and the best warranty if you ever break down.. imports is the way to go, American made is no longer good
go for it
We are a Kia family, but the Palisade is AMAZING!!!!! I will be looking specifically when I trade my Kia. Palisade with the 5 spoke wheels.
Well good thing that Hyundai makes Kia so you still have that loyalty.
I liked the review very descriptive! Thank you!
Amazing intro, great video as always!
The front end has serious presence. I've seen a few driving around here and my neck has broken.
Same with the telluride. They both look great in traffic.
Lmaoo
@@devintolliver92 Telluride looks great, but blends in with all the other CUV's. This thing looks like it means business.
i'd hate to see what happens to you with a vehicle that actually looks good...
It looks like it’s for a retired couple.
I prefer the front styling of the Palisade and the rear styling of the Telluride. I like the use of the brushed-aluminum look (not chrome) on the exterior and interior of both because it looks more expensive than chrome.
I agree. Too much chrome just looks cheesy
Great video! Love the new intro!!!
Great and thorough review. Thanks for posting! 👍🏼
The car designer of audi now work in Kia/Hyundai hit a home run for hiring them because they look hella good now.. It's look like a audi with Hyundai badge
Tristan Han people who compare Hyundai and Kia to luxury German cars are delusional.
Hyundai has come a long way since I test drove an anemic Elantra in 1999
Been looking forward to this video since the autoshow unveiling! Super impressive vehicle, I'd buy one if I needed an SUV and fantastic review as well!
We just got a 2020 Telluride S AWD in Sangria paint and it’s been great. Smooth ride, comfortable interior, and a nice set of standard tech features. I hit upper 29 MPG in ours. The interior on this Palisade is even more impressive than Telluride’s, but I like that you get more space in the Telluride and it’s exterior styling. In regards to top speed, I got our Telluride up to 130 MPH on an empty highway and was in 7th gear while it still had pull left! So I’m thinking it tops out around 140 or something. Wild when you consider that a 2WD Tahoe police interceptor tops out at 121 and a 4WD one at 139. I think it has a PLENTY of power at 291 HP lol.
Mike SKARONIS More or less lol.
2 videos in a day! and both WHOPPING ASF!!! GLS 580 in the morning and Palisade at night.!!!! i literary watched gls 580 all day now i can't sleep without watching palisade at least taking 3 hours minimum....!
thanks SOFYAN!!!!
You can tell he is excited about this vehicle. In some of his reviews of cars he doesn't like, he appears to be bored or annoyed by the car and you can hear it in his voice.
Sounds like he is kinda trashing this one. We just bought one and the thugs he is negative about we love.
Was debating about getting the palisade until I saw your video. Thanks for honest review!
Sofyan, as always, a wonderful review.
This is one gorgeous beast I have a 2015 Hyundai sonata sport 2.0t and I will buy this later in life when I have a big family . Thnks for the great content.
Great Improvement in Photography and Shooting angles !!! Much much better before.
The Introduction is Excellent.
The only thing is lack of Caption.
Bey is more and more Mature now.
We just picked up our Palisade SEL AWD w the full package for 42.5k after my wife haggled them down. It originally had a huge markup due to "all the bells and whistles" and "high demand." Definitely love this vehicle which I picked up for my wife who is quite small. She's 5'4 and has no issues with visibility. We will be driving to Texas soon and can't wait to test this for a long drive.
Own a Palisade for a year...absolutely love it. Love the paddle shifters- helps in the snow. The transmission buttons are something you get used to. The cup holders in the center are a great design. You have enough cup holders in the door and the in the back seats. Every passenger has their own cup holder. How many do you want ? I have the bench seat in the rear and the passengers can control their own temp was is great when hauling teenage daughter and her friends. They all love it- 3rd row has a lot of room, and each have their own USB chargers. There is a button on the 2nd row on the bottom that allows small children to reach and move the seats themselves - a nice touch.
whew this car makes me want a family
Lol nope. I definitely don't want a family.
That looks great. GM take notes or you will be out of business very soon. Looks better then the Cadillac interior.
I want what you're smokin
@@Chevy4vida I agree... he smoking the good shit lol America need to step up or step there ass down on this segment lol
Thanks for the video, I will probably start looking in August,
FINALLY! and too late. I have been waiting for you guys to finally drive the Pallisade. But I already bought my SantaFe XL. Got a great deal. Saved a LOT of money. No REGRETS.
dam you do good reviews ..one of the best out there.
Palisade is a perfect SUV for a perfect family.
If you agree like below👇👇
Nah
Thanks for the in depth review! Definitely crushing on this right now. lol
This suv will hit the markets hard it’s amazing inside and outside
Suitable for traveling with family
Will definitely consider Palisade before purchasing next SUV. Will likely look at Telluride, Atlas, Pilot, Highlander....
Did you buy yet? What did you get
Nice review bro ..from Philippines
Nestor .
Thanks redline
I like your style and how conversational your reviews are. Thank you.
Try counting how many times he says "actually" it gets to you. We call him Mr. Actually.
Veracruz
Sante Fe XL
Etched in the paint forevermore..
Cringed when I saw that
Exactly! Will need buffing now
Thumbs down for being an ass and doing that.
@@CapELarry Thumbs up for thumbs downing his stupid act.
Yup specially for black paint. Ouch!!!
i am really impressed, hyundai puts cadillac to shame!
There are some real improvements to your review style. It seems like your dialogue was really excellent here. And the camera work was improved as your guy followed you throughout the review.
Give it 3 years to work out any initial bugs, and a refresh of that front grill to something more attractive, and this will definitely give the Highlander and Explorer a run for its money
Hate the limited wheels. Love the 5 spoke.👍 After seeing the Telluride in person.. I don't know.. there's like a mile between the headlights and overall it just looks very flat to me. I drive a 17 Colorado 4x4, so I appreciate sporty but I'd opt for Palisade fully loaded--5 spoke wheels. 👌
I was team Telluride, but the Palisade is growing on me fast. Plus Hyundai offers integrated remote start on its key fob. So pissed that my Kia Stinger GT2 (top trim) didn’t have that.
Hyundai has come really far. I love my 14 sonata even though it had a few engine issues which were covered under a recall.
Hyundai Palisade & FORD Explorar nearly same same body cutting. This 2 car is very beautiful.💕💖💟👍
Really love how the ‘intro’ changed . Nice!
I see a new video Sofyan uploads, I click.
So you must be a butt slammer like him. Lol
@@daoudaqtash9243 no your mom is
Cousin thanks for always trying to be honest with your reviews! It will pay off in the long run.
nice vehicle. thanks for another very sharp informative review you do a great job every time.
For me
From the inside
Center consle = Kia Telluride
Seats = Kia Telluride
Doors = Hyundai Palisade
Gages = Hyundai Palisade
Outside
Front facial = Kia Telluride
Rear taillights = Hyundai Palisade
I like how Telluride looks in SX with that Dew dark color .
Side designe = Kia Telluride and the back glass is more secure in Kia but it looks smarter in Hyundai .
Aerodynamics in Palisade are better than Telluride
I think I like the telluride more. But I'd drive either honestly. And I've been waiting on this review. Good work as usual
Love how you wrote on it and crossed it out! Cute lol
Been waiting for this SUV 😎
Need more night video showing off ambient lighting.
Too bad that this SUV does not come to Germany, I would buy it immediately!
pay me 50% more and I will ship you one😂
😃😃😃😃
The beginning of the vid reminded me of a movie lol 😂 I was abt to get my popcorn
I was just about to pull the trigger on a Traverse being a Chevy owner all my life. Choose this Pali because of its looks and think the Telluride is ugly. Happy with this ride.
Its impressive that soyfan is complimenting this vehicle, because he just came out of a mercedez before testing this one
Does LEDs really cost that much more than halogens? You’d think with cars like the Corolla coming standard with LED headlights, something this expensive would too.
I think it's more of a way for Hyundai to get buyers to upgrade to a more expensive package. After having a 2014 Kia Sorento with HID headlights and a 2018 Prius Prime with the Quad-LED setup I could never go back to halogen headlights so if I were to buy this car I would pay extra just for the LED headlights
Marco Morel, you have a point there. I myself also wouldn’t go back to halogens after experiencing LEDs.
LEDs are stupid expensive. I'd rather pay $10 every couple years for a new bulb than $1,000 for a new LED headlight assembly. LEDs do not last forever like people seem to think.
@@nodak81 You can now buy led bulbs for $40/pair. Good ones too. Sure you don't get upgraded assembly but much brighter and you can get them with proper beam pattern too. LEDs last 50,000km, much longer then cars these days will last.
@@nodak81 wow, I didn't know that. Thought they did last forever. Thank you.
Palisade.
Best Review. Love including the small details like showing the key fob for ex.
I love the video and your shoes are super cute too!
Car Brands: How many press cars do you want?
Sofyan: Yes.
Its 12:45 AM and I'm watching a car review video but its Red line so I domt mind
Same
Ifti Plays same
For some reason I'm imagining this thing as a 4-door short-bed pick-up when Sofyan highlights that chrome side trim.
DEVLAD Great point. I bet it would give the Honda Ridgeline a run. Knowing a limited market for that type of vehicle. I have an older ridgeline but definitely be an interesting proposition 👍
Good review and great delivery for specs 👍🏻💯
the paddle shifters are likely more for towing so you can hold a gear like up an incline or down an incline with a trailer on the back
wax333 and for fuel economy
Man. One of these days I’ll give Hyundai a chance. I would likely go with a 2020 genesis g90. Idk if I could go for a standard Hyundai. Used to driving Mercedes for years. I’d say for a lot of people it’d be a great value! You always do such a good job at breaking down all the essential things one needs to know before buying! I actually got my 2019 C300 due to your amazing Break down. Thanks for doing such a good damn good job!
I’ve watched countless reviews for the Palisade and this was by far the best, thank you! I test drove both the Telluride and this and I have to say that it just felt better to me than the Telluride, more sturdy, idk if that was due to drive modes or that it has different shocks (if I remember right, Japanese shocks) than the Telluride. Now I’m just waiting to find one
Palisade !!!! Great video as always.
