After watching this video and a few others on how to retrofit in newer shoulder belts, this one's the best and it's obvious by the detail that Kevin's a mechanic's mechanic!

I wish I had your kit. I was given a kit from another manufacture as a gift. No instructions in the box. No video. Just a poorly written PDF on their website. Thank you for this video. It will help me greatly.

Thanks for this Kevin. I was looking and looking for instructions, and the ones in the box weren't enough. I wasn't sure if I could mount the reactor and the lap portions to the same L bracket.

Does LMC realizes that NOT everyone has a 1972 truck. It would be nice to get some 80's instructions as well.
For80s they should have had3 point seat belts. Uninstall, then reinstall. How hard can it be? I have a 1980 GMC and it has 3 point belts.
I have a 1984 Dodge W100 and my retractable seat belts don’t even retract. I’m sending them back and replacing them with lap seat belts
I just recently intalled these seatbelts into my 87c10 and they look up really quick. Just putting the seat belt on u have to move at a super slow speed or else it was lock up, other than that the install was super eazy and quick.

you need to do more with the GMT-400 trucks, just ordered new sheet metal from LMC time to fix the rust and do some painting. what’s the best way to remove the silverado trim strips from the body?
well this is all fine and dandy, and the catalog says it will just go direct in place of my stocker in my 85 c10, but what about the seatbelt warning light, my truck has one and i intend to use it, lmc was originally supposed to be oer not universal aftermarket
At 8:40, will the retractor not hit the door when it's put in this way?
And another thing, there is only one bracket in the kit that is used for the retractor. Yet Kevin is putting in the straps for the bucket seats with that same bracket on the floor.
How does he do that with only one of those 90 degree angle brackets supplied in the kit?

Replacing my seatbelts have been a nightmare is my 92 d150. I cant get a single bolt out. Dodge decided to use rounded hex bolts. Just keep rounding out the holes, broken several easyouts, tried the wax trick, cant blowtorch it bc itll catch the carpet on fire. Idk what to try next.
Try left handed drill bits to get it out

bought this kit to convert my 74 to a 3 point - but the bolts in the kit are too small for the threaded factory point in the cab corner. am i missing something here?

I'd like to do a 3 point for my 70 Impala
As a teenager I had a 70 Buick Electra and I am quite familiar with the lap and shoulder belts in your car. I was that rare teenager that buckled up both the lap and shoulder belts when I drove back then. It was a dedicated effort to buckle up the lap belt then the shoulder belt but I just got in the habit of wearing them. My lap belt had the locking retracters and the shoulder belt was manually adjusted with just a little slack. After being in a head on collision with a drunk driver, I can attest that those belts do the job and are life savers. I walked away with only bruises from the belts.

Do you really have to remove the whole seat just to change the belts? overkill for sure. smh
You know that seat doesn’t fold forward. Little hard to get at the centre seat belt mounting points. I would take out the seat, save time and work.
there are NO instructions included in this kit. have to come look up a youtube video to see how to install the belts. also the cheap aftermarket appearance is appalling. for the money these kits cots they should be designed to work with the factory retractor cover that the squarebody trucks had from the factory. also these generic aftermarket kits are only made one way, to fit the driver side. when you go to put it on the passenger side, the belt will be twisted!!!! absolutely horrible!! very disappointed that this is the quality of product that LMC truck sells
