    Dad loves his original 2pt belts. It is nice to not have to wear them if not feeling it w/o worrying about getting pulled over he says...I agree.

    It's really nice the all the 67-72 trucks have the upper (sholder) nut in the B piller. I've installed them in a 1968 and it was an easy job!👍

    I've upgraded my lap belts to three point seat belts using a couple of sets out of a '76 Blazer. Wasn't perfect, but it worked great for a car seat. I'll definitely use this set when I rework the interior.

    Just because you can anchor that shoulder belt to the cab doesn't mean it was engineered to take the load during an impact. Who has tested this since the factory didn't use the shoulder belt in that mounting point?

    Make sure your seat (cushion) is not worn out before you install your seatbelts.
    You'll sit up higher in a rebuilt seat vs a tired seat.... thus affecting your mounting location on the cab wall.
    Also these aftermarket retractors are more sensitive than oem, requiring you to put it on slowly or it will lock up. Just my 2 cents

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  2 роки тому

      @@bohdi316 Problem with that is that in the upper corner the factory placed a very large support in the pillar specifically for a seat belt to mount. Under extreme stress, like in a crash, the support won't pull through the thin sheetmetal and hopefully the driver will be restrained from flying forward. A simple Rivnut may be able to hold the belt in place, but it can't come close to the structural support the factory seat belt boss provides.
