Wait, why Argonians? It's suspected that Khajiits were actually the first original inhabitants of Skyrim before man and mer, so I always pictured it as "Well, Khajiits were here first. This is their original land. So it's normal for the Dragonborn to be Khajiit if this was their home first, right?"
Thank you balgruff for voicing my constant question on why the empire would think a cat would be a storm cloak. In lore The nords might be okay with a non-Nordic human joining the storm cloaks, idk, but kajiits aren’t even usually allowed in winterhold and the argonians have to live in a single room bunkhouse by the docks beneath the city
This makes me wonder what open world games are going to be like in the future if we can have character dialogue and voice acting generated organically.
Exactly same, but with lover stone since i wanted to try everything and lvl it up quicker. It seems like every new player, even with no previous exposure to skyrim content seem to insinctually radiate toward stealth archery, and thus khajit race because its starting upper hand in stealth
I don't know how many times I've seen this, so I'll say it again: It was NOT Legate Rikke at Helgen. It was a random ass captain who you kill on your way out if you side with Ralof. Rikke wasn't even there, as evident from her dialogue when you join the Legion.
@@BacxaberThen why didn't the game's subtitles not say captain rikke? And also it makes no sense of you side with ralof and kill her and then she respawns if you join the imperial legion. And she would have recognize you if it was her. Perhaps it was her twin sister?
He has a good point about the Stormcloaks. It is weird to even think, that you are with the Stormcloaks, if you aren't Nord. Considering their massive racism. Hell without Ulfric personally seeing you trying to get killed by Imperials even accepting you would be a longshot. Also i don't know how many knows by lore, but at least one Altmer dragonborn is confirmed. Mankar Camoran from Oblivion is in fact a dragonborn.
What massive racism? This is where you talk about dunmer and argonians and I point out that the Grey Quarter is as clean as the rest as Windhelm, is dressed up like a Vvardenfell town without interference from the guards, houses Imperial spies, and is mostly inhabited by people that say they don't want to work for Nords. The few dark elves that aren't super racist are harassed by their own family, and Hllalu owns one of the largest farms in Eastmarch. Now compare that reality with their whining. The argonians have less of a presence, fewer characters and conversations to draw on, but there are similar attitudes of "we hate Nords and we say the Nords hate us" is more easily observed than "Nords hate argonians." The Stormcloaks are ignorant and shortsighted on continental politics, and Ulfric is a piece of work and no mistake, but the "racism" is an illusion created by a minority that claims they are oppressed when they refuse what opportunities they have. Which is one of Skyrim's most realistic qualities.
@@Ryvaken The dunmer were not always lived in the Grey quarter. They were forced there. Argonians were also forced outside of the walls in Windhelm, and Riften. There is also that old war veteran who becomes Jarl, if you kill Ulfric. He says, that when a Nord group is attacked, then Ulfric sign the horn, and soldiers sent out. But when a dunmer refugee group, or a Kha'jit caravan attacked. Nothing. No investigation, retaliation, or justice. I know, that there is that one altmer on the market who claims, that situation is not bad, but Stormcloaks in general are clearly racist. Okay not on the extreme level, but enough to have doubts on anyone who is not a Nord.
@@akuladoctor7355Ulfric put Argonians outside so they don't clash with dark elves.did you know dark elves are racist towards Argonians. Also nord women are killed every day bye the butcher and guards doesn't investigate about it.
If you think the stormcloaks are massivly racist then you obviously havent played morrowind. The Dumner make the thalmor look nice because at least the thalmor don't practice slavery and worship demons.
My first time I played Skyrim, I chose khajiit since night vision sounded cool af, but it just made my screen blue. I'm like "aight, not great, but I'm sneaky! So I can do that!" And I became the sneakiest assassin in the land, but honestly it was too much effort and I couldn't be bothered to be stealthy. So I literally just bonked everyone with my ebony chaos mace, good times.
Meanwhile my khajiit huntress mage who gets lost easily to the point I decided that the reason I got caught near the storm cloaks was that I was lost and asking for directions. How I imagine my conversation with the Jarl went is like this. Jarl: You we’re going to be beheaded by the Imperials Me: Caught after Khajiit got lost in woods. Asked Stormcloak for directions, Khajiit did before caught. Jarl: You realize that Khajiit are not permitted in the city right. Khajiit merchants tend to sell drugs and steal you know. Me: This Khajiit no thief, Khajiit seeks knowledge not coin. Jarl: You are a rather strange Khajiit, and naive as well. Me: Khajiit seeks to help those in need during travels.😇
I'm on my first playthrough. At the beginning, I picked the Nord, because I thought Argonians and Khajiit were really weird. But after meeting Ri-Saad and his companions, I started to love them. Their lore is amazing. Humble foreign merchants and thieves, how interesting.
2:49 I think Balgruf misunderstands the way *stealth* works: "Stealth" is what happens when the ground stops shaking and the bodies are nowhere to be found. No _witnesses._

That's because Stealth Archer is the most overpowered playstyle in Skyrim. You do a lot of damage due to all your arrows being sneak attacks, and you don't have to get close enough to be seen. You're practically unstoppable outside of being in closed quarters.
We need a NPC Race comment mod and let that full species hatred flow freely. Instead of every Nord thinking they are high on shrooms and you are just an extra hairy nord.
Absolutely lost it when he said "... are you sure the empire tried to execute you for no reason?"
The mach 5 furball still has me rolling
Same xD
the way he says "the thief stone, huh?" with such spite is hilarous
he already knew the answer he just wanted to hear it
Now I need a mod that has a chance of firing a hairball projectile when you use Unrelenting Force as a Khajiit.
Do Khajiits lick themselves?
I bet it would sound like the khajiit taking damage sound
Pretty sure khajiit don't tongue bathe
They're a sentient race, they take actual baths
Why would they get hairballs?
The dying khajiit sound would work the best because it genuinely sounds like he's coughing out a hairball
Mach 5 hairball would be funny
I fucking lost it in the middle of the night at the "Irileth give me a cure poison potion" and "uh, Proventus give the maids a special reward after cleaning this mess up", holding in my laugh wasnt easy.
