@@Makofueled If you read the lre when the empire started losing in Hammerfell and peace was made many generals just so happen to allow thousands of imperial Redguards to retire early to return home and keep the fight going without breaking the treaty. Long story short if you read into the great war the empire is being tactful about it, meanwhile the nords are like 'ma talos time to rebel' and not thinking about things for 2 seconds which is even more dumb seeing as Skyrim was never threatened during the great war so most nords were just chilling around doing nothing while the imperial city was sacked and burned.
I think a lot of people sleep on General Tullius. On one of my last play throughs I noticed something I had never put much thought in that cemented in me how much a good guy Tullius is. Your at the block about to be executed, Ulfric and his rebels are in binds ready to be next. He’s got everything he needs to stamp this civil war out and has Elowen nearby observing in full display. A dragon swoops in and starts destroying helgan, and you know what this man’s orders are? “Guards get the townspeople to safety” He immediately thinks of the people he’s honor bound to protect as a part of the legion.
This video raises a good point, why isn't there a big statue of Talos in front of the Windhelm palace? The entire rebellion only exists because the law, though poorly enforced, said they couldn't worship Talos. It is a religious war and Ulfric couldn't even bother to get 1 statue for the palace?

I only care about myself and turning all of Tamriel into my own personal playground, and honestly the stormcloaks treated me way wayyyyyy better than the imperials ever did, so they get to live on as my f- toys until I decide I'm bored with them. You insult me, you d- ie. You flip me the bird, you d- ie. You so much as fa- rt in my general direction, you d- ie. And you just insulted the worst kind of Lorkhan-mantle: the chaotic-neutral de- generate with the power of CHIM (aka console commands) and 100+ ns- fw mods. 3- your children? What children? Oh you mean the 3 little goblins I sent to the glue factory thanks to the ki- llable children mod? Btw I trapped their souls and used them to enchant these pretty dwemer spectacles I'm wearing, so don't waste your time waiting for them when I finally allow you to leave this world and go to Sovngarde, they're not coming. 4- oh and btw the empire is pretty much de- ad now cuz the emperor himself is de- ad. I'll give you 3 guesses who ki- lled him. What are you even fighting for anymore? History is written by the winners darling, and you and your precious empire just lost to a single person. So take your massive L and be happy I'm letting you live just cuz I like your voice and accent. 5- I already like men so your g- ay insults don't work on me. Now please assume the position. I just got these wonderful tentacle powers from Hermaeus Mora that I'd like to try out. 6- "elf hat- ing"? B-- ch please. You're going straight to my ha- rem and I'm using the fleshcrafting skills I learned from reincarnating as Sheogorath in the previous dragonbreak to turn you into the second prettiest nord fe- mboy the world has ever seen (the first being me, of course). Now I can really draw you like one of my fancy French girls! 8- have you met my husband, Miraak? His tentacle powers are way more powerful than mine and he likes to join in the fun too. You can look forward to that. 9- I can mind control dragons. Wanna guess what I'm gonna make them do? Yes, all this cuz you insulted me. What are you gonna do about it? Cry for your housecarl to come save your useless a-- ? Newsflash, I turned her into a pretty dunmer fe- mboy too and she (or he) will suffer the same fate.
I like the Empire but the fact you're not allowed worship your own God in your own land is what triggers me. I hate the Thalmor and I hate what they represent. That's the only reason I go with the Stormcloaks. Not because I'm racist and hate every race known to man except Nords... even if I play as a Nord every chance I get. And Ulfric? He's an ASS leader that's for damn sure. But let's be realistic here, it's not that Skyrim belongs to the Nords but the Nords BELONG to Skyrim. So you can come to Skyrim and live happily ever after, yes but if you come to start shit like Thalmor is doing then that's when you need to GTFO.

I always find it peculiar that the sentiment of Nord independence is seen as racist, but the whole persecution of Talos worshippers isn't seen as religious bigotry on part of the Empire. Talos Mistake, Hammerfell's victory over the elves after the Empire abandoned it, and in truth very little proof of actual racism on part of the Stormcloaks. Ulfric is a Thalmor agent? The empire stipulated the end of Talos worship themselves rather than the elves asking it, willingly inviting the Thalmor into the empire. All being said, I see little that the Empire can offer Skyrim. Hammerfell has shown the way. The elves can be fought, but the Cyrodilic Empire needs to be dissolved.
Talos became a god and used a Gundam to literally slaughter dozens of Elves. The Man made the Tribunal look "Fine" and they literally killed their best friend to become a god. It's understandable why Elves doesnt like Talos worship
Given that Torryg (the guy ulfric murdered), the 2IC of the Imperial Army, Jarl Balin, and the fact that most of the actual bigfucking statues in the game are in Imperial privinces, the "ban" on Talos worship is mostly a convenient way to lure Thalmor into the wilderness chasing snipes and getting killed by "bandits". That you can alsostraight up murder the thalmor in public and get a slap on the wrist basically proves Ulfric is full of shit.
Ur talos 2.0 plus I think its dumb joining the empire if ur gonna kill the king anyway so yeah ulfric is not a good leader but I feel his pain u guys are acting dumb there in war with 1 elves species and they thinks there spy's guess wat 1 off them is and the other 4 piss me off I like the argonians way more
@crossil7722 When Empire-lovers want to preach on behalf of their corrupted Empire, they will always find or create an argument. As for the "Cyrodilic Empire needs to be dissolved" I couldn't agree more. Let it be only remembered as the greatest mistake of Man (same as Thalmor controlled Dominion is a greatest mistake of Mer), never to be repeated again.
The correct response to Jarl B*tchgruuf's salty monologue is a big, fat chad YES. Should've sided with the sons of Skyrim rather than being so pitiful that a few Thalmor threats and a guy with a bowl cut are enough to whip you into the ranks of the failing empire.
Ulfric is a Thalmor plant, and a united Empire is the only chance for man to defeat the Aldmeri Dominion. Stormchokes are the ES equivalent to those bumbling January 6th insurrectionists with barely two brain cells to rub together between all of them. Putting down Ulfric like a rabid dog is the highlight of every Skyrim playthrough.
You are right but the last part I think you have the wrong way around, if anything Biden and the democratic leaders are more Chinese plants running American into the grounds with drugs, inflation, high prices of living while blaming everything on middle class rural republican's while BLM and ANTIFA cause more property damage then ww2.
Windhelm is the only city in skyrim that accepts dunmer refugees. They dont get a 5 star accommodation in the middle of a civil war, but this is already infinetley more than what they get from Solitude, or any other empire controlled city. And thats with Solitude being the wealthiest city in skyrim. I guess stormcloacks would be seen as alot less racist if they just ignored dunmer plight alltogether, and simply not allow them in.
This is flatly untrue; many empire-controlled/empire-friendly holds in Skyrim have dunmer citizens in some capacity; Whiterun for example has multiple significant dunmer characters such Athis (member of the companions guild), Irileth (Jarl Balgruuf's Housecarl), and Jenassa (a skilled mercenary found in one of the taverns). The reason we don't view these characters as downtrodden refugees is because unlike in Windhelm where dunmer are considered second-class citizens and forced to live in specific areas of the city, most holds instead just treat them as everyday people allowing them actual social mobility; they are given the capacity to actually rise up the ranks. Stormcloaks would be seen as a lot less racist if they chose to stop being racist.
@Sinapi Only windhelm have a sizeable dunmer population. Do you seriously believe that dunmer refugees are so stupid, as to willingly, in mass, choose to live in Windhelm instead of Solitude or Whiterun, given the real choice? Also, decent number of high elves live in windhelm and face no discrimination, they own shops, stables etc.
You mistook game limitations with lore. Your young nord wife will occasionally mention that solitude is so diverse . Game needed representation of the story related characters, that's why ipressed dunmer characters are needed in windhelm
@@jacqmarthy536 Fair enough, but an NPC that most players never meet, throwing a couple of voice lines is not a set in stone truth either. I love blowing up everything. I'm a psycho Dragonborn, give no fucks about the cocky and the rich, if I can kill you, I might quicksave. I join the Stormcloaks just because the high elves are dicks, it's really no other reason. Ulfric is a dick too, love Baalgruf, he's a homie, but his kid is fucking weird.
@@Gdsryrox I like your avatar and am thus willing to accept your opinion about the mongrel dogs of the empire
I installed a mod that allows me to keep Jarl Ballin for the memes.
Ulfric shamwow cloak the best line lmao
"You hate elves and argonians"
Me, who married Shahvee, keeps Erandur as a companion, and wipes out every Imperial patrol I come across: stay mad and bitter in the basement of the Blue Palace, I guess.
daum
I cant belive you right now jarl… siding with the empire dogs. Nwah
The Stormcloaks aren't much better given the slums are only for the least problematic Dunmer. Cause any trouble and you'll be lucky if there's enough of you left to become an ancestral spirit.
At least the empire doesn't beat dummer citizens and force them into slums. In a freezing cold city..
bro are u an outlander? Nords and Dunmer have a much worse relationship than the dunmer and the empire. I mean look at House Hlaalu.
......i'm still siding with the stormclocks
With the previous video on Balgruuf, my Dark Elf Morag Tong spellsword joined the Stormcloaks immediately.

I joined the Empire tho
Imagine joining the Emp*re 😫
There's literally no good reason to join the stormcloaks outside of being a completionist.
For real, the Thalmor are laughing their balls off at Ulfric doing their job for them.
@@randomcenturion7264”Those fools are actually fighting!”
Should have gone with Ulfric Stormcunt.
Another reason why obsidian is better than Bethesda obsidian gave me a fuck all your factions faction for New Vegas and gave me the option to kill everybody nobody was safe and even made it a potential ending to kill literally everybody
You should go on a forum and tell everyone that Obsidian should do the next Elder Scrolls game. I'm sure this is a completely novel idea.
Go back to the Blue palace's basement baldgruf, you're drunk.
How very perceptive. If you pay atention to every random traveler you maybe should try paying atention to your spoiled son and stop him from comunicating with daedra
if the empire is so not racist than why don't they let khajits into their cities?
There are limits.
They do. Unless they're the smugglers using a trade caravan as a front.
Tldr incoming from my OC: the most de- generate dragonborn ever to achieve CHIM.
1- I joined the stormcloaks purely out of spite. Attempt to c- ut off my head? I'll c- ut off your whole bloodline.
2- I don't care about Skyrim, Tamriel, the people, the races, or any of these old fa- rt politics that everyone's been whining about for 12 years now.
Have you seen my ha- rem? 90% of it is elven fe- mboys.
7- speaking of ha- rems, you can forget about being locked up with skoomheads and h-- kers.
Newsflash, I turned her into a pretty dunmer fe- mboy too and she (or he) will suffer the same fate.
underrated character reply ^
I did the same for giggles but as a dunmer
This just makes me want to side with the stormcloaks

What's wrong with hating Elder Scrolls elves? They're pretty ugly.
What the hell the talos ban was originally dominion's idea when they told empire to submit while bringing them blades agents heads
This is cringe Balgruuf
Ulfric is a Thalmor plant, and a united Empire is the only chance for man to defeat the Aldmeri Dominion. Stormchokes are the ES equivalent to those bumbling January 6th insurrectionists with barely two brain cells to rub together between all of them. Putting down Ulfric like a rabid dog is the highlight of every Skyrim playthrough.
i chuckled, have a sweet roll you fucking nwah
the controlled opposition angle, does work out very well when collapsing stable empires *looks directly into camera*
You are right but the last part I think you have the wrong way around, if anything Biden and the democratic leaders are more Chinese plants running American into the grounds with drugs, inflation, high prices of living while blaming everything on middle class rural republican's while BLM and ANTIFA cause more property damage then ww2.
It was not an insurrection.
@@Mars20231 🤡
Almost every citizen of solitude is a member of the upper class, it also have most expensive real estate in the game. It is reasonable to belive that they just priced out any potentially problematic citizens for a long time now.
@@PoiosonedArrow the game is limited buddy, so unless they are mentioned then the argument "priced out" will always be deniable. You are fighting lore with assumptions here. The game needs to show solitude as the capital of skyrim
