lmfao
thats ok lol
Lol, yep.
Devil Neighbor I want to play it. But I continue to listen to it. For exactly that reason.
Nik "I see you" Nocturnal
Aha yes, I do say that I lot ;)
G.O.A.T.= Go On And Try, cause it ain't happening lol. That song was crazy.
Chris Saltiban I can play up until that shred part and once I got there I was like fuck this
@@cartermackenzie1135 the shred part in the intro?
@@acedrakon8711 "shred part" whenever the guitar is played pretty much
because*
Cause means something completely different.:P
@@OriginalPuro Its used as a slang for "because". Welcome to the English language.
the drummer absolutely destroys in this song
For those who don't know, the bass players name is Clay Gober. He's from my area. Used to be in a pop punk band. I partied with him once. Awesome dude. Excellent musician and guy.
what was the pop punk band called? any recordings online?
You made my life.
he's the luckiest bass player in the world. he found prodigal guitar players and they LET HIM SLAP
Zack Mash are you deaf lmao gober’s playing is better than anything out there
SeanStephensen love the dude
“The drums sound very real” cause they are man their drummer is actually fucking nuts and might even be the most talented member of the group, and that’s saying something! Every single member of this band is more musically gifted than most musicians you see out there
I’m a drummer, and Tim is definitely better at his instrument. Drums are insane, but Tim isn’t even on the scale of sanity.
2:51 when you haven’t eaten in the whole day and you see a hamburger
Hey Nik, that "hhmmmmpphphhfuck" when clay starts that bass line. Gets me everytime the same way. Awesome song, awesome review.
I call Polyphia hypebeast core
Grant Bowers bruh I was literally thinking to myself during the video “polyphia are the hypebeast flex gods of prog” lmfaooooo
Jay Woodall "we're not prog u fucken nerds" - tim lol
H&M-core
@@CinderFall96 to me is like Crime Tv Series Core or Drama tv core
I've never heard of that gente before, but it sounds cringy as hell.
G.O.A.T. = God's Ongoing Acid Trip
Still on it.
God no way
great of all time?
Everyone's face is like O_O after this song, it really is mind blowing.
Get Brutal I only recently discovered them. About a few months ago, and it hurts me that I never discovered them sooner. As soon as I found the song in my recommended and heard it, I was like: This is officially my jam.
Best shit ever, and I’m pissed at everybody who knows me and knows this band and never told me about it, because I really wish I was able to catch up with their Philippines show.
The best track they have made since inspire
I agree 100%
I'm very excited for the upcoming album. Their teasers are dope. It sounds like Prog-Famenco-Math or something like that. Too catchy. I haven't waiting for an album more than this time.
@@mentedistratta7178 🙂😐🙁☹️😥
Great review Nik! Love how after the opening symmetry shot, instead of cutting away, they create symmetry over a new axis. Also the white shirts in the dark setting and black shirts in the light surrounding...kinda order/chaos theme. Can't get enough of this song!
Thanks Michael! Yeah the music video was perfect, dope track.
its fun to look at this 4 years later
And if you are wondering where that trap feel is coming from, a great trap producer name Y2K helped produce this.
I think I found my new favorite producer; Thanks!
He makes many of the beats for Bbno$ as well as Polyphia, all great stuff
Tbf the production ties the track together with the trumpet hooks etc.
I love how you notice and appreciate so many technical things. Oddly enjoyable to watch a musician kinda geek out over music. Even if I don’t have the music knowledge to understand all of it. Great music and great reaction. I would reeeeeally love to see you react to Sokoninaru. Brilliant musicians making incredible prog rock.
Love the vibes this band puts out you can tell they're having a lot of fun it's sweet
Exactly!
This is the only video I need in my life. Thank you for this blessing. I love you
Tristan goat
GNOME CHILD
fishingl lvls?
Great review! You put your thoughts perfectly. Thanks for the video!
So I guess I’m obsessed with these guys now 🤷🏻♀️
Ik you don't wanna cover it, but please do
Sasha Bowers bEST BAND EVER, I SWEAR AGHHHHHHHHH
I kinda don’t think he could tbh. I’m not being mean Nik is great, but this might be out of his style.
Didn't know you were a Polyphia fan dude. Love 'em personally.
I love A LOT of bands that I don't normally cover on my channel for the same reason, you'll be seeing more of them soon :)
Love the reaction vids. Keep them up!
Thanks Leon! I'll throw them in once every so often :)
waited when they start to play, did not wait.
Polyphia's style is "OH GOD MY FINGERS."
Bröther Nërd you mean Animals As Leaders’ style ?
Polyphia fan here thank you again for supporting the bois for such a long time 😘
This is my first video of yours I found in your normal voice.
Generalized Occupational Appttitude Test
That's from fallout right?
Am I the only one who gets weak from slap bass? I'm happy polyphia includes it a lot becauseee 💦💦🙌🙌💦💦
I'm usually don't care much for it but this time it was just too good to ignore.
That slap it's at the same level of the main riff. It has a dark sound, making match with the melody in the background. Just amazing.
its completely underrated
Ayyyyy. Was really looking forward to seeing a guitar cover, but I understand what you are saying. I am glad that I got your opinion on the song because it was interesting to hear for the first time for me.
Thanks Cody! Yeah as I mentioned It's just not something that I enjoy covering on guitar so it's nice to have an extra outlet to still cover these songs on my channel.
I keep seeing polyphia stuff on my feed, and I think I'm slowly becoming a fan lol
these guys are TOP inspiration for me, Crush or Culture Shock its mindblowing. But this dark shit is like waiting to be driven over by a t-rex with dodge charger. I mean the bass and drumms fits to this like nose to a face. One of the best songs, i've heard last few years. "bow dow"
Crush is still one of the most catchy songs I think I've ever heard and it doesn't even have lyrics.
Listened to polyphia and it motivated me to get Into studying guitar in 2020 🤘🤘damn always gives me goosebumps hearing them play
love nick a metal dope, reviewing polyphia
So, Nik. Polyphia - G.O.A.T cover ? :D
That bass alone is worth the price of admission
the more i listen to this the more i thinking about covering it.......
My favorite part of this song is the bass solo. It's hard to find bass parts as interesting as this.
You sohuld react to Aviator by Polyphia my dude. That Jason Richardson solo almost made me pass out when I heard it.
This is how reaction videos should be!
Nice asmr video.
Holy shit. This song gave me goosebumps
Me too!
So this is Nik 4 Years ago. Nice
I believe Tim said it was Melodic minor instead of harmonic
Me looking at my guitar
My guitar: No 😂💔
So how does one achieve that compressed single coil tone? I just built me a new strat and I've never been able to get that crazy shimmer on the verge of breakup.
You should check out John Browne of Monuments perform "Doxa" on EMGtv bro. Love channel. Keep up the good work💯
Thanks Josh! LOVE John Browne, dude is a beast.
I dont know about greatest of all time but its damn good

Tripp RE-AX name one guitarist better than Tim Henson and then slap yourself for lying

I remember being 28 and playing lecturer tlli. Guitar. What do I miss? Hey look at me. It's fine. No buzz words jam rock on
Is that ninja Tim wearing SANDALS? What are thoooose?!
They are frooty as fuck.
An also agree fav polyphia track. Still love goose an james franco..dude try to learn that one too learning james franco was so frustrating an still I cant play it 100% or even 90 for that matter.lol
Please can someone tell me what makes Polyphia sound like Polyphia? What scales, patterns, time signatures? Please. I am trying to learn their style from a very long time.
Literally just pentatonic scales, hybrid picking, and natural harmonics.
Hey Nik! Please check out
Lakewood - Diamond Shatters Light & Lifelie
Beyond Mara - Succumb To Reality & Hindenburg
Halcyon Days - July
I'll check them out! :)
Lakewood are currently not on UA-cam yet, but you can find them on Spotify ;)
if you want some crazy bass lines check out a san antonio local band called donella drive, andrew slaps the bass like no other!!!!
So young nick :D
*I C U*
You have to listen Nasty. That song is badass.
I wonder if you know the band Their Dogs Were Astronauts? If not you should get to know them :p
2:51 he just came
Aritro Banerjee hahahaha
we all did
Do OD by polyphia
Polyphia confuses me so much. I want to like it, and I do sort of like it, but I just can't tell if I actually like it. I understand it's complicated, but I just can't really groove to it.
Can we appreciate him for not pauzing🙏
bruh i remeber like 15 years ago my brother got into a fistfight with tim henson when they were in middle school lmao
Lmao what
Who won?
Watching this in 2022 and I feel like Nik is flirting with me
2:50 when the throatgoat comes over for a sesssion
To imagine this only took 1 week to make??!!! Like what the actual fuck that is insane
God Of All Tracks
everyone's jaw drops when they hear this...
Young nic holy shit
That intro😂😂😂
Max James you are litterly everywhere
MojoBrickStudios - Customs&Hauls haha I am behind you now! Glad to know I’m well known on UA-cam. You have good video taste I guess
Max James i guess so 😂...
;)
Blown fucking away! I don’t get how don’t like to play their riffs. What stuff do you like to play??
Sound like JAZZ /w\HumanDrummers/w\
See Soilent Green or The Khind!!!
WHAT IS THE INTRO SONG?!
This songs just sounds like something you would hear at the end of a season finale and a killer or something gets away unnoticed and it’s left on a cliffhanger
I’m getting ghost town vibes no?
Other than that it’s sounds good !
Can anyone tell me the name of that song in the beginning? On the intro
Nik Nocturnal - Labyrinth
Have you ever listened to any consider the source?
Damn Nik looks Hella young
React to Pitch dark by Chon
HE SEES YOU!
Very cool
Thanks Marco! :D
2:49 Nik are you okay?? Is Clay holding you at gunpoint forcing you to say something about the bass???
G.ood O.le A.nime T.iddies
What music is playing at the beginning?
Termina-Lucid
the drum is easy but the bass and guitar is hella hard
Greatest Of All Time!!
Which song is it at the intro?
I only can play this song in bass, in guitar es impossible
Greatest of all time for the people that dont know
