I fucked up and just shaved everything off outta frustration.
LMAO
You might want to try the Flowbee , I've been using mine for over 20 years . I use to spend $35 a month on hair cut and tip , that is $8,400 for the 20 years plus the gas and time wasted to get there . Also no human being can cut hair as evenly as a Flowbee , I don't care how experience the barber is it can't be done . Look in to it , if you have the right kind of hair and hair style you can't go wrong .
TheReaper!
Did the same thing
everythings easy except the back hairline. I think mine is sorta choppy looking
i wanna try this now, i hope i will not end shave to nr 1 all head… back in 15.
SO I am 24 and followed the instruction and did as you said but now I look 50 with gray hair, plus I dont have to open my mouth to talk and I have a job. Thank you Mr. Clean :)
Ha ha ha ha, I have tears from the laughter, this whole section is all time, and I am NOT being sarcastic, best responses ever.
This lockdown got me here
Me 3
Yup
Me 4
Tonton Mc lmao same
Followed his instruction, it is a miracle, it worked!
Amazing!!! He can't just cut his own hair; also speaks with his mouth closed!!!!! :D Very good (y)
LOL
CHARLIE BEZERRA It's Too Many...Too good Talk too!
CHARLIE BEZERRA lmao
CHARLIE BEZERRA 😂😂😂

:D
Just so you know, that lever on the side isn’t about hair thickness. It’s an “Open” or “Closed” lever. Leaving it “open” would raise the clipper razor guard making it a bit longer when cutting. “Closed” will lower the Razor guard so that it’s a closer or shorter cut.
It’s used for things like fades
Too many Sucks barber out there these day .Better you messing up your own hair than pay someone do it.
preach brother
this ^
Aye no write. Peeple kant rite four schit theez dayz. Proppar skoolin is impotent.
For men, a barber/hairstylist charges $16+ to cut your hair and takes them no more than 10 minutes from start to finish. It is much affordable to just buy your own kit ($35-$45) and do it yourself or have a friend/family cut it for you.
Pierre Louis very true unfortunately.
Thank you for this video! I watched this years ago and still cut my own hair by your method. I come back to this video every time I cut my hair just for a quick refresher. Very well done video!
I think this is one of the best self hair cutting guides on YT I've come across as of now. Simple and straightforward. My favorite so far.
This guy is the BEST ventriloquist I have ever seen!
boots1183 right he should be on stage 🤣
This gotta be one of the most hilarious comment sections ever. Lol!
😘
Thanks man, bought a trimmer and followed ur vid and it turned out great, much better than I expected. No more having to rely on someone else for a good haircut. Gonna save money too. Ur the man!
I like it, takes less than 15 mnts and saves alot of money and time, thx dude a lot of idiots rather pay for 30 minutes of waiting(sometimes more) and sit on someone elses hair 20 minutes and you have to tip the person who just wants you to really get tf out because someone else is ready to sit on your hair.
well I was very cautious before I watched this video, and I gotta say, its actually a lot easer then I had thought. I did a fine damn good job on my own and now I'll never ever have to go pay to get a haircut ever. To say the least, when money is tight I have truly save myself. Haircuts cost alot these days.
With awesome hair like that you can completely botch it and it will still look amazing.
Facts tbh
Yeah as an ugly dude I don't think I good get away with a fucked up haircut lol.
Just got this same exact Conair kit for Christmas and did my first trim last night. Thanks man! Saves tons of time and money
Gave myself a hair following your instructions. Took me much longer than 5 minutes, probably because I did it for the first time, but it came much better than my last cut from a barber shop. Thank you very much for the video.
Dear sir, I found your haircut video very useful and amusing. I've not only got a new haircut, but I've also laughed a lot saying 'the money maker... the lady magnet...'
I tried this tutorial 5 months ago my hair looked like those twins on rugrats end up shaving it all off. Today I'm gonna give it another shot.
john Ratt You fuck up again man?
How did it go? We want to know
Cut my own hair for the first time and used this as a guide, am very proud of the results. Thanks for the video, probably couldn't have done it without this
I followed this method with excellent results. It gave me so much confidence in doing things myself that I now do my own dental work.
I give myself military buzz-cuts. #2 guard all around (1/4 inch), then #1 on the sides (1/8 inch), then #0 on top of neck and ears (1/16 inch), followed by just the trimmer by itself in lowest areas. The most important thing is getting a graduated curve going up to the top on the sides, as people can see whether both sides are symmetrical (unlike the back, which is by itself). For me, stray hairs sticking out are better trimmed with clippers than scissors. Then shower, 2 weeks later, trim it again. Never needs combing.
If one has health problems and it's hard to get out of the house, cutting your hair at home is better than not cutting at all.
The video was fun to watch.
I have successfully used your hair-cutting technique twice now. This has saved me at least 30 quid and 40 mins of forced small talk at the local barbers. Great success.
Thanks for the tip of using your finger as a guide in the back. Helped me a lot.
thanks alot for the best instructions ever. I cut my own hair today for the first time ever and it came out exactly how i wanted it. one thing I'd say to others is try to cut ur hair somewhat similar to his and ull be successful.
first time i cut my hair, turns out pretty good. Good guidance!
Watching you nilly willy cutting your hair like that gave me the courage to change the way I cut my own hair. I am 66 years old. Hair thinning on top quite a bit, but full on the sides. Retired 10 years ago. I not been to the the barber at all in all those retirement years, but I always used my 20 year old Wahl clippers upside down and cut it very carefully. I did like you did, using some old attachments that came with clippers my mom used on me over 55 years ago, and did to myself the best haircut I have ever had this morning. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!!!!
Just want to say this video helped me out a lot. I was going to cut my hair with clippers blind but did some UA-cam research and am pretty satisfied with how it came out.
Um... The "Lever" for cutting "thicker or thinner hair"..... That's a half step. As in... If you put a #1 guard on and put the "Lever" in the half step position it will become 1 1/2 leaving the hair a little longer. This is used to make an even fade from guard to guard and help with lines of demarcation... Good luck.
i loved you in Mad Men
That grey/white hair looks absolutely awesome on you man!
Just used your video as a guide to cut my own hair for the first time. The neckline was the part that took me the longest to get in the ballpark. Good video - thanks!
Thanks for this video very helpful! Finally gathered the courage to cut my own hair.
How was the result? Happy? What were the biggest problems you faced while cutting?
Cheers bro! Just tried this and the front and sides look sharp. The rest of it is a fucking car crash, but the front and sides look good..
OMG!! ROFLMAO!!! I just spit out my water when I read the car wreck part! 😂😂😂. I'm fixn to try this now.... let the car wrecking begin...... 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@barbkeen1221 ahahahahahahahahahahahshshsshaahzvjzhxhxhshahahahagaag😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This video worked for me. I was able to cut my hair shorter than the way I was cutting before. People at work paid me compliments. Thanks
I cut my hair once with the wahl cutting system, with so so results. Watching your very good tutorial I believe I will improve my hair cutting skills. Thank you for an excellent video production, and all the best to you and family!
I have been cutting my hair for over 15 years. I have saved hundreds each year.
I now cut my son's hair while he plays video games at home.
This is a very good Video.
Would will need to get very good Clippers. The better the Clippers the better the results.
Hmph, he probably was totally oblivious to you giving him a haircut because videogames can really grab a kid's attention. 😆
I know...that was the ideal to do it at that time.
+kikayei lol!!
any recommendation for a good clippers?
45terfgdfd WAHL is a pretty good brand. You could find the at Amazon or at Walgreens.
just a tip and my 2 cents...i've also cut my own hair for years. much of what you said was on point for the most part. your ideal mirror is tri fold though man. your "big mirror" doesn't work as well trust me. a wall mounted, medicine style cabinet that allows the 2 outside mirrors to fold inwards is what works best. It doubles as a great place to keep your supplies. again just my 2 cents
I just did 1 hour ago my haircut using techniques shown by you and it was awsome :) thank you.
Great short "short" hair cutting video. Prefer to keep mine that short personally so this one was the best I found. Thanks for the effort.
to be safe for first timer, try longer guard 18/20 mm at the top, 15 mm at the back 12 mm at the side, side burn 9 mm.
I did it! My hair looks awesome, Thanks for the video!
I've cut the hair for the first time in my life and it looks good. thank you.
Did it today. Can confirm it works very well. First attempt and the missis thought id been to the barber 💈. 👍👍👍Thanks brother.
Great job. It's the way I have been doing it for 35+ years!
Nice! Your hair looks good!
Interesting style of filming with fast forward and voice over. It's like old movies. It's a bit comedic though.
+Ivan Gartenhaus i think he did a voice over bcoz the clippers would be noisy and the instructions might be inaudible.. the motion reminded me with charlie Chaplin hahaha
This video helped alot! Tried it this morning. I'm pretty satisfied. Not perfect obviously but practice makes, well, perfect.
I like your style, man..Looks clean. That was confidently done too.
I been cutting my own hair for 12 years pretty much just like this and he's right you have to have patience especially if you're just learning. in the beginning it would take me an hour or more to do it and now about a half hour give or take. I use to buy those cheap Walmart trimmers and finally got me a $100+ pair. don't get me wrong I used the Walmart ones for 8 years and it was probably a good thing because there is a world of difference between the two. the cheap trimmers would have mercy on a mistake but that expensive pair would show no mercy and scalp you quick if you wasn't careful. I feel pretty comfortable cutting my own hair now with those really sharp trimmers but still need patience which is the key to doing it in my opinion.
Great advice. I'm just starting so I am off to Walmart.
hey ur method works.
I followed ur way and job was done.
DANISH MALIM
You make it look so easy thanks for taking the time to show us how to self cut our hair 👍
Thanks!
Just gave myself a haircut for the first time and followed your method.. worked great!
I like the look of you before rather than after self haircut.
Oh man, I just fucked up my hair !! So I had to cut it all with guard Number 1.
At least it will be short for a longer time and won't need cutting soon.
LMAO
haha!
i accidentally cut off a bit of my eyebrows
Shadow1986 What??? Lol
WOW.. simple explanation and demo. He really did a good job on the cheap. Using the hand as a guide is key to prevent mistakes, he used the correct set backs for a guy, too. I do my own in a short "Latina girls" cut (a bit longer), but I use the same technique. No more rip off salons for me. I trim it back every week.
Thanks for the quick tip! cutting my kids hair and i think this is a great quick fix!
If he changed back to the 1/4 inch and ran all over the top of his head what was the purpose of using the 3/8 for?
you can laugh but this guys got over one million views not too shabby if you ask me
Probably because word got around of the hilarity ensued, lol. Nice try for the guy though.
Well done, I have alway been afraid to use the clippers, you make it look easy.
Your hair cut looks great...I've been cutting my own hair for 12 months and found this very helpful and useful...
you look like a Greek God
nicely done btw
This made me laugh because at first I thought it was a bad Japanese movie with his voice not synchronized to the picture.
Thanks, great video! I've now converted to clippers and loving it!
Thank you dude. I did what you said, and low & behold it worked. Awesome, saved fifteen smackers.
I'm about to cut my own hair right now with 15 year old clippers I bought form wal mart, gulp
He must have learned that in the Army.
Entirely! Man I'm so glad someone actually gets it!
Thank you for that video, I just got a clipper set. Now I know what to do. thanks again.
It ain't 5 minutes nigga it's accelerated
Learn in 5 Minutes, not cut in 5 Minutes.
Quite ambiguous
took him two hours to fuck up his hair.

David Garcia lol how the fuck did I end up in this video? ahaha i cana afford a hair cut.
thnx...after reading comments dont think i will

Not too bad. I do my own hair all the time and got a few pointers from you. Thx
This was very helpful. Bought Wahl cutters and watching videos before I try it.
guard fell off, shaved a huge bald spot on the top... i'm now bald fml
Congratulations you played yourself
@@sbj97 oh shitttt...😂
in the beginning you lookin like old eminem LOL
The one on the tv
Just finished looks good, it helped me out.
You remind me of the guy at the car valet the Ritz Carlton in Maui from my 2010 trip. If that was your job back then, thanks for your advice. It really served me well these past 7 years. Appreciate it.
Local barber shops are know charging $18 for a standard mans haircut. Me and my nephew have been cutting each other's hair now for past 3 months. Still need some practice i also have a Wahl Detailer for the shape up of the lines on back and front.
You are so right. I am very close to start cutting my own hair or have my partner do it. I would save so much money in the long run.
Weve been doing it now for a year. The shops around here are charging too much for a haircut now a days. Not to mention the wait involved. No one has a said a word or even noticed. Now if theres a special event we may go to the Barber...Other than that we have been giving each other haircuts/shapeups..
There's only 2 weeks between a bad haircut and a good one
I want bald spots like you got ....
buddha budz -said nobody
+Ayan just your moms
Good review. I was looking for a clipper and this review showed what I needed to know. Thanks.
It turned out pretty good. Thanks for the video.
If there's one thing I don't mind spending money on its a good haircut.
Great come back. I could see if I somehow offended you b4 you for no reason other than the fact that you either wanted to try and look cool, or just wanted some attention, attacked me. Verbally anyway. A know it all, that truly knows nothing. An uneducated educator. Just like a woman. Can't live with um. But you can't live without um. Hopefully you get tired of looking foolish one day and learn that it's okay to defend yourself. But the bully always eventually gets put down. I think it's time to grow up guy.
+JasonJames Why are you arguing with yourself
Whoever deleted their comment.
lmaooo thought you were flaming yourself lmao
JasonJames Why the fuck are you arguing with yourself
I'm gonna use masking tape. everybody will laugh and call me names.
+Jeff Gardner Rookie!! lol
I'm not laughing, I think you got a point when you are always alone, and need to do it yourself, just by yourself. ;)
never thought of a haircut being that Fun!! loved the tutorial!!lol
Thanks bud my hair turned out great.
Awesome
I taught all my boys to do this. When you're a college student, you gotta be frugal. What number is a 3/8"? We use a 2 or 3 on the bottom and a 4 or 5 for the top.
After the first few seconds I knew this was not the video for me, but I stuck with it for the sexy-ass daddy. LOL. Silver fox!
It's a free world! haha that was funny all those hand motions!
Nicely done, chief! I liked your sense of humor...with a professional touch. Thanks for the good tutorial. I'm a subscriber.
Roger Sterling can afford to pay someone to cut his hair! ;-)
Good video, but I was looking for a video that is not such a dramatic change. That is, if you can cut your hair every few weeks or so so that it doesn't look like it is every getting cut.
But blood attracts beavers so i dont think i can try this because i am affraid of beavers.
M1ZKA true
Best haircutting video on utube! This guy is confident, most of these videos-the guy says "i'm not sure about this..." or "it's just way hard and takes lots of practice" I wear my hair very short and am gonna go this route-tired of making appointments and the expense...the tipping, and wasting a trip to the barbers.
Good to hear you were able to buy the clippers yourself.
if you decide to use this tutorial DO NOT USE THE GUARD SIZES HES USING. they are incorrect...unless you want a buzzcut. I learned the hard way LoL
I did the same thing!
guys plz help the sides are longer than the top, im panicking.
+Pylos Militia GTAV execute Plan B

did you use the metric system...
You've got to make sure you're using the right blade guards. Which blades did you use sides and back and on top?
Thanks for teaching how to do a haircut. Really appreciate it. Happy New Year to you and your family!
great tutorial bro helped me get a good trim
Dude...what happened to all your Hair??
Your Ready for the Military ....sign um up!
because of this video, I cut my own for the 1st time and what a fkg mistake. I fkt it all up. I don't think I can fix it either.
too short in some spots, bare spots. like a lawnmower spit some rocks out. I KNEW I shouldn't have tried this.
I have this vintage Oster 76 clipper, with no other blades or comb att's it just happens to have the 1 blade I didn't want for the shortest haircut. I tried taping a mens plastic comb to it, to make it sturdy enough and the tape covered the breathing holes and it over heated after about a minute, THAT was fkg useless. so I had to stop. this was such a mistake. I hope i can fix this.
+Nunya Biznis muahaha. well, a new experience gained.
+Nunya Biznis You're officially the biggest dumbass in this comment section.

Good coordination. Nice haircut. Good job!
Thank you! I am going to dare to try this today. I always just used one of the plastic heads and messed up quite a bit. Wish me luck!
