Reba Nira Recipe (Pork Liver and Garlic Chives Stir-Fry) | Cooking with Dog

  • We are making quick, easy and nutritious Reba Nira, stir-fried pork liver and nira garlic chives. The taste of the liver is very mild and the vegetables are still crunchy. Delicious!
    How to make Reba Nira

    (1 person) Cook Time: 15 minutes
    * Time for removing excess blood and seasoning liver is not included in cook time.
    80g Pork or Beef Liver (2.8 oz)
    50g Nira Garlic Chives (1.8 oz)
    100g Moyashi Bean Sprouts (3.5 oz)
    1 Garlic Clove, Sliced
    5g Ginger Root, Shredded (0.2 oz)
    - Seasonings -
    2/3 tsp Ginger Root Juice
    2/3 tsp Sake
    2/3 tsp Soy Sauce
    A sprinkle of Pepper
    1 tbsp Potato Starch
    - Reba Nira Sauce -
    1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
    1/2 tbsp Sake
    1 tsp Oyster Sauce
    1/2 tsp Sugar
    1/4 tsp Potato Starch
    A sprinkle of Pepper
    1 tsp Vegetable Oil
    1 tsp Sesame Oil
    * 1 tablespoon (tbsp) = 15 ml, 1 teaspoon (tsp) = 5 ml

    I saw this recipe a while ago in the Japanese movie "Midnight Diner" and always wanted to try it. I finally found the time and it's absolutely delicious. Thank's a lot for your instructions on how to make it!

    How so? I've watched a lot of Cooking with Dog videos, and I find it cute that she has almost every instrument for distributing pepper. All the different cooking gadgets. Most people just have a generic shaker or perhaps a shaker and one grinder-manual or automatic. She has it all!

    Yummy! Liver is good for the blood. It doubles your blood count and makes body iron higher. So if you are anemic, this recipe is definitely for you

    Soaking the liver in water and seasoning it with the marinade makes the taste of the liver very mild and also softens the smell. :)

    My mom always cooks something similar, chinese food style, but still the main ingredients are fry nira and pork liver :D

    I have always hated organ meats. I still cannot tolerate liver. The only thing I can tolerate is a little bit of liver paste on crackers. Since I watched how Chef san created this lever nira itame, I just might try again. Looks so good. Thank you.
