I really like that Dr. Dray not only avoids uncritically feeding into the hype around a celebrity brand, but also doesn't automatically dismiss it or assume its worse than "normal" brands. Her reviews always seem very well reasoned and balanced.
Sadly, she partnered with Stylevana. She later stated that it can take MONTHS to receive your order. When she first partnered with them, this was not stated. The info was available out there. She went as far as recommending products with scents. The payday must have been good. I ordered from SV without researching because Dr. Dray is more than an influencer. She is a doctor. This was really stupid of me to do. I had a terrible experience with Stylevana. Do you think I should have done my research? Absolutely. You can be sure that I will avoid making that mistake again. I do not believe that Dr. Dray meant for this to happen, as she did mention the months' worth of waiting for cheaper products later on, but the info was indeed available when she first partnered with them. This proves that while better than most influencers, Dr. Dray's partnerships must be analyzed carefully from a customer's standpoint, even if she is a doctor, as this is now her primary job. She clearly took payments from SV when they have a terrible reputation that isn't hard to find as they are blasted everywhere on the Internet. Dr. Dray isn't some monster sending you to dangerous products she's never tried like many influencers, but my level of trust has gone from a pure faith (that was my mistake) to mostly trust with caveats.

One thing I like is Dr.Dray has not made her own skin care line as I am aware of and pushes her product. It’s nice to see she shares affordable skincare that works. Makes me trust her more for not making content only for profit. I defiantly shop through her amazon front as she deserves the credit for recommendations that have worked for my skin. ❤

For real, seems like there are a lot of dermatologists on here that not only include plugs for their brands but actually skew the information they present on a topic to make you feel like you need to buy their products. Dr. Dray seems more trustworthy.

I love how she breaks down ingredients and products using her professional knowledge while still making it understandable for everyone
Not really a Hailey Bieber fan but I do appreciate how passionate she is about skincare. She is one of the few celebrities who actually gets it right. She does a lot of research, which some wouldn’t expect from her. Most celebrities get tangled up with the flashy new buzzwords and gadgets, but she is more interested in the science.
you guys, i have disgustingly horrible dry skin. when i tell u the rhode milky serum CHANGED my skin's texture------- i am genuinely in awe of the product and will be restocking when im almost done. my skin feels soft the WHOLE ENTIRE DAY. its literally magic in a bottle. best investment.
What had you used before Rhode?
@@ajae... i used the snail mucin, hyaluronic acid from ordinary , different moisturizers and serums- they all flopped. i've found my holy grails since then and my skin has never been this moisturized and soft in my entire life 😭
I have dry skin as well and I am genuinely interested in getting the package that has all the products including the peptide lip treatment.

I love Rhode's glazing milk and their glaze is decent. Glad to hear that I'm not crazy and the ingredients are truly effective! I only hope Hailey maintains it as an innovative brand and only puts forth products that have something different to offer...

Honestly, I tried Rhode’s glazing milk and their peptide lip, and it’s pretty good! I was skeptical at first about trying out a new skincare brand, because I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, but those two products did not make my skin go crazy (thank god).
I’m a doctor myself & started following Dr. Dray during my initial MBBS years.
You literally saved my skin. I had acne prone skin, irritated, redness, inflamed, sun damaged.
I’d been trying anything and everything until then.
But then, the process of going through my first two years of training taught me how treatment is targeted and random claims aren’t worth my effort.
I discovered Dr. Dray on youtube & boom. Cerave, tretinoin, niacinamide, sunscreen are my holygrail.
My skin has been thriving since the past 5 years and all the credit goes to Dr. Dray ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I generally do not use cosmetic products that celebrities try to sell. There are so many products that do the same thing and much cheaper. It usually is a trap for women to waste your money.

I’ve tried Rhode products and i absolutely love them and I love Rare blush ! Not everything works for all skin sorry it didn’t work but they make my skin glow and my lips are smooth and moist

I discovered your channel a few wks ago, became an immediate fan, & binged MANY of your videos! I've learned so much & you completely turned my skincare regime around....in the best way! I can now buy products that actually help my skin. The days of spending money on a product & hoping it will do what it claims, are gone! I've become more proactive w/ putting sunscreen on everyday vs only on days I'm in the sun. I had my 10yr old watch a video so she could learn from someone who's not her parent, why it's impt to wear sunscreen everyday, yr round. She's now diligent about putting it on everyday.

I usually don’t like celebrity skincare brands but I LOVE all of the rhode products. The barrier restore cream and the glazing milk are both staples in my skincare routine!!! I can’t say enough good things about them both 🩶

I love the lip treatment! I have not tried the essence. The other two products gave me a reaction with red bumps all over my face. It works nicely as a body moisturizer.
At first i think it will be like 59$ for the cheapest product cuz it's "hailey" "celebrity" "kardashian bestie" but only 29 ???? It's very resonable price tbh plus the packaging looks nice

I personally didn’t have issues of pilling with the moisturizer and sunscreen but I also use korean sunscreen so I don’t know if that makes the difference. I also have very dry dehydrated skin so my skin soaks everything up. I really love how Rhode makes me skin looks. I’ve tried so many products and this is the only brand that makes my skin glow all day.

But as you say, it has good claims and ingredients and all brands nake new products to make money. Why shoud we treat celebs as the obly ones trying to scam us

I have used these products for months and I have seen great results. I love adding these products to my routine and will continue to do so.
I love Argeriline but agree that it isn't that it's like Botox 🙄 It definitely helps with wrinkles but I think it's benefit is due to it acting on the skin like other peptides. In fact in my opinion it's under rated and I will always use it. 😊

I can’t use any of the skin products because they all have a lot of glycerin and I have a glycerin sensitivity, it makes me break out. But glycerin is great for most people! Excited to try her peptide lip treatment though. I haven’t seen peptides in a lip treatment. Great idea.

I suffered through atopic dermatitis. My skin is dry and flaked back then. I’d been rhode more than a year and my skin has been so much better. Combine with Paul’s choice products, I don’t have much if any acne anymore. It cheaper and I love it.

It’s more like a gel cream like texture. It’s very hydrating without being heavy.
I was using the mixsoon essence with beta glucan, 3.3 oz for $20, but it is just like water and ran through my fingers, so I felt like I was losing so much product. I love the rhode glazing milk. It actually sits on my dry skin and is quickly absorbed. Does not run down my face!😊
Put it in a sprayer and pat it in, that might help!

That's the one thing I've always respected about you Dr. Dray, is that so many derms can slap their name on a skincare brand knowing it would sell like crazy and perhaps call it "medical grade" skincare,,,, But with you, your goal is to always help your patients and share your knowledge with us by providing all your wisdom and teaching us to have the healthiest skin we can. the word barrier is nowadays being used more in regards to restoring the skin barrier rather than form an actual barrier over the skin

I would love your take on Kate Moss' line Cosmoss. It's not packed with actives and it's definitely at an inflated price point, but I found it so delightful to use. Every product is available with fragrance or fragrance-free, but I find the fragrance so intoxicating and pleasurable. It smells like meditation and gong sounds.
I appreciate the honest comparison. The prices have definitely changed… I’m wondering what I’ll do if the facial exerciser turns out to work. Would definitely be the strangest thing to incorporate:)

I am glad I found this! I have the rhode Glazing Milk and find it to be a perfect hydrating product for my oily (leaning normal outside of tzone) skin in the morning. Has a very nice texture. I do also use a moisturizer & sunscreen after so I really love this in between. Great price point imo too, not as expensive as a drunk elephant or similarly branded product but feels like a good deal given the amount of product.
I just ordered the barrier cream for night time to use alongside my tret similar to how you mentioned using it.

I use one product from this line and it’s that milk toner. I love it. I have never used a skincare line from a celebrity til this one. The inci is so good. I have the barrier cream but I don’t like it at all. It has no slip to it which makes it harder to run in or something. Also feels cold on application but there’s nothing in it like mentholatum etc that would make it do this so idk 🤷♀️ it also pills on me as well and I don’t have anything else that pills because I use almost all Korean moisturizers which couldn’t pill if their lives depended on it
So excited to see this. I just got the glazing milk. I actually really like these products. And the milk is a really good deal! I can’t use the moisturizer during the day either. Too much with sunscreen. I was hoping you had a positive experience as well!!

Thank you for all your help and information! I have a question about working out/sweating and using tretnoin cream. I am going through the purging process as of right now, but I find that sweating really seems to burn my purging patches and I don’t know how many times I should wash my face a day due to that? Should I just rinse after a workout and then moisturize? I don’t want to stress my skin out more by washing my face after workouts and then before bed.
Yes. Just rinse off and apply moisturizer.
You need moisture as the retinol is irritating and drying.
Try the sandwich method too.
Which is moisturize before and after retinol should help.
