All of the sudden their so interested in skin care that their dermatologist and chemist 🤦♀️ when the truth is when it comes to skincare they don't know their head from their @ss 😂 It's just a money grab for them and I highly doubt they even use the crap they sell 🤷♀️
This is interesting. I have extremely dry lips and I feel like I have tried everything to make them feel more moisturized. I've probably tried most everything that is out there, including this Paula's Choice one. But the one that I go back to the most is the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment. It's not perfect. I still haven't found perfect. But it's the only one I've found that leaves my lips feeling moisturized for a longer period of time. I love Dr. Dray but I'd say still try this out for yourselves and see what you think.
Agree. I use the Rhode lip balm nightly, a nice thick coat of the unscented, and even smooshing my face into my pillow all night it is still there come morning. I resisted trying Rhode for over a year but gave in. Glad I did. My sensitive reactive and dry skin loves the line and it is one of the few lines that calms my eczema around my nose. Interestingly, every single product I've tried from Paula's Choice has irritated and made my skin worse/did nothing for it. You just have to see how your skin personally reacts!
Never tried either one. That PC booster is $32! For a lip balm?! It's probably nice but their prices are out of control.
Yes! I can’t do it anymore with these crazy prices everywhere. I went into the sandwich shop yesterday. The lady in front of me paid $65 for lunch for her family (I’m assuming) 😢 Wtf
After watching so many of your videos, I've gained a better understanding of what to look for in skincare. In the beginning, I mostly followed your recommendations. Recently though, I picked up a few on my own like Paula’s Choice Lip Booster (which I’ve been using for a few months now), Isntree Watery Sun Gel, and the Comfort Cool Ceramide Soothing Gel Cream. I think you've mentioned the Isntree one in the past. It's reassuring to know that I can now make informed choices, even if they haven't been featured on your channel. Thanks for all the knowledge!
I was shocked to see that Paula’s Choice lip treatment was $32, for 0.33 oz. I was going to give it a try, but it’s not in my budget for a lip balm. 😕

I know this was a couple months ago but the inkey list has a tripeptide lip balm out now that has the same 2 peptides as the Paula's choice one. And it's only $12, I'm liking it so far but it's only been a week

I honestly do not feel the need to use anything other than Aquaphor on my lips. No fancy packaging or celeb branding necessary 😂
I've tried all the Rhode products. The glazing milk and glazing fluid are my favorite! The barrier cream pills no matter when I use it or how long I've allowed the previous layers to soak in. The barrier cream has been disappointing.
I agree with you about the lip treatment. I mainly use it with a drop of lip stain for a colored lip gloss during the day. And use aquaphor at night.
Dr. Dray, thank you for everything! My skin look and feels amazing - I only have dark spots now but they're starting to fade too! Also, the Sun Sense lip balm 50+ you recommended is my holy grail. 💜

I love the Rhode lip product, but it has its place. I use it during the day in lieu of lip gloss because it’s pretty, not sticky, *slightly* moisturizing, and occlusive. Then at night, I wear the Avene cicalfate lip balm (former Dr. Dray rec) because it’s the absolute best for moisturizing your lips, but it’s white and no one needs to see that during the day. Rhode maintains the results I get from the Avene.
I got the Neutrogena lip-plumping lip serum w/ peptides a while back and it has surprisingly lasted me a long time. I like that is it literally like a hydrating serum for your lips. I wear it under lip balm bc it absorbs so well leaving your lips hydrated.
OMG perfect timing Dr Dray. Just got back from my older son's WONDERFUL wedding in Eastern Washington (in a very, hot & arid climate for 5 days) and my lips are so trashed. Gonna go out and get the Paula's Choice Lip Booster today!

I do love me some Hailey and although I have yet to actually try her skincare line myself … I feel strongly that she may have taken the “celeb skincare” to another level! Hello there Dr. Dray! I love this video and look forward to it every month! I purchased the Rhodes lip product and was equally disappointed. You’re 100% right … it is definitely much more of a lip gloss than anything else. So disappointing. I am a bit of a lip balm junkie and my current favorite is First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Lip Therapy. I use this mostly at night and wake up with nice, soft, hydrated lippies. I know you don’t necessarily love First Aid Beauty, but for me, this particular product is a winner. I hope you have a great Tuesday, Dr. Dray! Thanks for the video!

Have you tried the Jack Black lip balm? It’s the one in the solid black container. It’s actually pretty amazing. I use it first then apply Aquaphor on top. Thanks for the review!
I really enjoy the rhode lip treatment! I just stocked up on them by purchasing the lip kit. I use it at night and during the day over lip liner. It works well for me. I wouldn’t be opposed to trying Paulas though. The other Rhode product I love is the glazing milk! 🥛 I haven’t tried anything like it to date. It’s incredible. Helps so much with my skin barrier. 😊

What healed my super severe rough skin scaling where my lower lip meets my mucosal mouth is spraying my face with evian facial mist, then but a peptide serum with hyaluronic acid on my lips, then a emollient retinol/peptide face cream or a aha glycolic acid face cream from walgreens, then the laneige sleep mask on top or aquaphor and in a few weeks my lip skin has healed after 30 years of suffering from extreme dry, flaking lips! Also a toothpaste that is not an extreme mint like spearmint or other flavor due to possible dermatitis.

The original Vaseline lip therapy is so good. I put it on at night. Its been years now and NEVER got dry or chapped lips ever again. Dont get the flavored one or cocoa butter..get the original. The other ones dont work the same.

Omg YES about squalene! I'd put the ordinary squalene oil (few bucks!!) on my thighs and almost next day they looked 10yrs younger, softer and soo glowy!💜❤💖
Are you in the US? Bulk crafter websites sell oils and butters for a little bit cheaper. Brambleberry has squalane $7 for 1oz (ordinary is $12) 3.5oz for $17 and 14oz for $56. Brambleberry is still expensive though😓

Have you tried the Neutrogena Lip Sleeping Mask? I think it’s part of the Hydroboost line. I feel like it moisturizes lips well and is a great wearable formula.

I don't know how long this has been out, doc...never heard you mention this one before but I love the Blistex Conditioning Lip Serum. Petrolatum, lanolin, dimethicone, avocado oil, beeswax. There is no taste or smell, and not sticky.
Lanolin is a common allergen if you’re allergic.
Blixtex chap sticks are excellent
I have been using the peptide lip treatment since it launched and love it, keeps my lips so moisturized, it's better than anything I've ever tried so far.

The Paula’s Choice lip treatment burned on my lips :( I have really dry and sensitive lips from a combo of accutane a few years ago and now living in a dry, high elevation (high UV!!) climate. I’ve tried SO many fragrance free lip products, and my holy grails are: curel lip balm (stick form) and beplain chamomile lip balm as a base or at night; rohto premium spf lip balm during the day; skin1004 cica ampoule (og one) as a rescue pre lip balm calming product.

I would love to see a video on body oil. I’ve started using body oil out of the shower and think the hydration is soo much better than lotion, but would like your thoughts and recommendations!
Yes I’m so confused on oils! I know dr dray say they’re only emollients and still recommends a moisturizer but how do I describe the feeling after showering? It’s also soooo much easier than a thick lotion after showering. I really like mineral oil from the laxative section: it’s cheap. I have no idea though If it’s moisturizing or not or am I just drying out my skin in the long term by not using occlusion
I know she and other dermatology channels have talked about body cleansing oils like avene and bioderma and recently some have mentioned kopari and naturium.
