A lot of nice tricks with this build: flag, vines, round shingles etc. looks strait forward at first and you make it look easy but it is a tough one. Really nice job.

Just about done with mine. I need to add the last finishing touches and it's ready to go up on the Facebook fan art page. I think it came out great. I had a slight problem wrapping the shingles on but I persevered. Great job!

This is a super cool shrine! There are like four places I think you can make this totally more modular. First, you could put a magnet like in the middle of the ceiling inside to hang like a bell, or a gong, or a tapestry or something. The second is in the shingled dome. I love love your shingles. You could magnet that whole shingled dome on, so you could replace it with a copper dome, a lead dome, a statue of like a buddha or like a local hero, or whatever. Then you could put magnets at the top corners on the sides to add all sorts of balconies and stuff. Okay and then on the top you could add magnet points on the top corners to add like a wooden watch tower on top or to stack more of these to make a like a really cool bell tower. So, like I am really scatter brained, but you could also replace the dome with a cone sort of top, or like a minaret (spellIng?). You would have to change your vines, but I think this shrine has tons of totally different uses. I could totally see an interior with sheer pastel colored curtains over the doorways, big round cushions inside with some candle light for a romantic place in the garden of some palace The curtains might be on their own frame, so you cold lift the shrine off to get at the inside while keeping the curtains in place? I could see a colored glass top for a light house, maybe? Maybe the top could be like a big bonfire place for like a signal tower (Lord of the Rings-ish). Okay, I will stop now. LOL.
