I'm picking my jaw off the floor. Great job!
:) Thanks. There are so many things you can add to make these tiles more interesting.... these are just a few!
That fishing line trick is sick man.
Right on!
I know I'm late to this video, but I really like the idea of creating a "mould" using the clips that way to create the nail holes, it's great and saves a lot of time!
Thanks, I’m glad you found it useful. Better late to the show than never :)
I'm new to the terrain world like this and I had an idea like doing reversible tiles and you did this video thank you so much
You got it DJ Wild Bill. Thanks for watching. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. Check out my FB and Instagram as well.
Those details look amazing! What a great way to introduce variety, interest, and break up the monotony of standard dungeon tiles.
Jacob Hope Right! And these are just a few ideas. So many other options to run with.
Loved the detail on the pipes!
Broken weapons
Torn book
Eyes and or tentacle
Trap door
Rusty chain
Few coins
Bloody foot prints
Scorch mark
Dragon footprint or other clawed imprint into stone
Glowing light leaking through cracks stone or board
John Leach love it all!
Everything you do gives the pieces a history. Really nice.
luvz2reed Thank you !
These are very inspiring ideas to liven things up. Totally going to make the mossy puddles in the dungeon floor. Appreciate you sharing these techniques!
Thank you David. I’m glad you liked the video. Enjoy your HD tiles :)
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Quick question: If you are sealing the tiles with polystyrene min-wax with things like water effects... would you seal it first and then pour the water effect? Thank you for your time.
@@DavidBluelineGaming I’m not sure what your water effects are made from but if it’s a Vallejo product such as water texture you don’t need to seal it first. I’ve also poured resin right on foam for water effect with success. You just need to be aware of the thickness of the pour…. Too much it will get hot and melt the foam.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Thank you for responding- I'm using the Woodland Scenic water effects. I was just concerned about the water becoming cloudy with the min-wax. I'm binge watching your channel! so helpful.
@@DavidBluelineGaming I haven’t messed with the Minwax but if you let it cure 24 hours I would think you’d be fine. Do a test tile. I’m glad you’re finding the videos helpful :)
What the heck, highlighting the details of that tiny little skull! Next level dungeon crafting; I'm more impressed with every video!
Akariyuli I love the tiny details!! Thanks.
If you got the time, always add a nice little detail. Otherwise you get "a sea of stone tiles"
Really like your strategy for it of adding this special detail/flavor to just a few tiles and that can change how the whole map is received. Love the color choices, especially the goblin green for the sewer pipes!
Thanks Jon, you can have a lot of fun with these. Let your imagination go nuts.
love your vids.. nice mellow tone to follow along... and the results are exceptional..
thanks for putting in all this time to make these vids.
Rene Klinkenberg You got it Rene. Thank you for watching.
So amazing. Customizing the tiles is an awesome idea! You've totally inspired me. I am getting some green stuff, and some stuff to make some little like mushroom patches and little bunches of rocks and things. I got tons of ideas.
Michelle Renee Excellent!!!
Thanks for posting - this opens up so many possibilities!
M Young You go it!
Very nice. Love that they are reversible
Chris Kaschafsky Thank you Chris.
Great ideas! My favorite was the pipes.
Yep, it's fun when you can get into a little more advanced stuff and incorporate it into easy builds.
You did it again ! Not the same ol same ol boring tiles !
Yes, these make traversing the dungeon a bit more exciting :) !!!
Really nice work and video production. Cheers!
Thanks Ted !
Thanks for sharing your awesome talent. Great job on the vid too.
Thanks for watching Janet.
Top notch ideas and execution!
Thank you Steven.
Those are some very cool enhancements. Great ideas. I think another nice addition could be some magic symbols carved into the stone.
Yep, runes would be a very nice touch! Good idea.
Great quality job, man. I'll steal some ideas. Thanks for sharing
Excellent. Thanks for watching.
Grrrrr. I thought I had such a nice tiles. Seems like I am back to the drawing board and adjust some of them (luckily that is easy to do). Super nice job on this
I'm sure yours are great as well. Add some of these ideas to what you already have!
Awesome tiles.
Thank you !
Well done. I like the random map on the floor tile. Maybe Ill try it with other random bits too.
Thanks Chris.
I really like the idea of some lava... it's a BIT over the top, but I like the way the colours work with the stone.
I love the wood planks, and giving the edges of the tiles the full job makes them feel so real. Very cool stuff. I might make some stuff like this when my new HeroQuest arrives :D
Its a cool idea, why not go for it! I can't wait for my Mythic Set! Enjoy your new HQ set!
2:55 - Genius.
Thank you :)
Bloody brilliant
SuBasco Sauce Thank you.
Beautiful wood grain, man!
Thank you Sebastien.
Awesome work!!
Thanks vanien1
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Thank you Mark 👍
What a great Idea... Everyone knows tiles make a table that much better... but dual sided tiles...!!
Thats an idea for the ages.. thankyou for the great idea... new sub right here \m/
Monster 07 Awesome, thank you Monster 07!
16.17 love when make blood, thanks for tips
Fn loving this channel
Francesca Scopelliti Keep on watching. It’s just going to get better!
One thought I had for the floor tiles - on each side around the edge, put a pair of tiny magnets (negative on the left, positive on the right) embedded near the corners so the tiles actually "clip" together so they don't separate during play.
Yes, you could definitely do that. Would help for that clumsy party member for sure :)
Add a painted pentagram tile, maybe a tile with Glowing Runes, Broken Sword, Blood pool with Foot prints tracked threw it and a start tile with a Welcome to the Dungeon Mat lol
Great ideas
Well that depends on the needs, are your really going to need a stone pentagram tile for a wooden dock?
For stone texture i use a real stone and press it onto the XPS foam. Makes for super realistic effects. I also like the aluminum foil technique simply because of its speed.
Yeah, that will work! Aluminum foil is definitely a speedy option.
Very Cool!!
Thank you AA M!
gorgeous
Todd Vance Thank you Todd
How do you lock together your tiles so they don't move when players move their minis? Great work on all your crafting!
Thanks Jon. Nothing locks them together. I really haven’t had any big issue with them being knocked around. I think my friends are too scared to have that happen haha.
Sandstone with small bugs and skeleton bits. Rolls of bandages for mummification rituals. Stone tablets that have been smashed
Rubble Blocked Passages. Stone for caverns and castles and crates and barricades for urban. Something to force some player movement.
D. Schaffer A cool twist and some fresh ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Just found your channel & doing a bit of a binge. How are you sealing the tiles (if you are) to keep the leaves on, protect the work you did on the skull, and so on. Looking forward to the Friday the 13th episode. Cheers.
Hey Next Level, I use Krylon Matte Finish. From a distance and small bursts. You don't want to really even see it except for a small shite right after application. Too much can make the foam/paint blister. You'll be able to see how I apply it at the end of this weeks video. Happy you found the channel :)
here it turns out, it turns out you have made it, LOL, I ask you to make a video about painting the effects of stone and wood, apparently you have made it, thanks man, thanks a lot, this is very useful for me
DIY Projects Crafts You got it !
I always wonder why the blood color is sooo fire engine red? Blood only has to be sitting for a little while and it turns much much darker. Long enough and it looks brown. This is great work, the tiles are great, very detailed!
Just for dramatic effect... looks more exciting than super dark maroon or brown ya know... Thanks :)
Just grabbed the last skull 💀 pack from Amazon
Right on!!
question on the XPS foam; is there a particular thickness (1/2 inch?) or manufacturer type you prefer?
Karl Langfield I use Owens XPS from Home Depot in 1/2”, 1”, and 2”. I use 1/2” the most. But it really depends on what you’re crafting board thickness.
Nice
Thanks
You are a LIFE SAVER!!! YOU ROCK now i will be the ultimate latino DM!!!
Miguel the ɪɴғᴀᴍᴏᴜs Happy to help!
What about adding LED lights to some tiles that aren't on initially but come on during the play of the game? They could represent a booby trap, goal reached, or time lapse of the game, etc.
Those are some very cool ideas… Make sure you stay tuned. :)
How do you keep longer pieces of foam from warping?
There are a few options. You can Mod Podge both sides, you can place skewers in the foam to hold the shape, or you can try and add chipboard to the bottom. It takes a bit of experimenting.
Great video. Do you have a link to those leaves?
Thanks Jarrett. They are called Leaf Litter and it's sold by Green Stuff World.
You’re an amazing artist! What’s your day job?
Phil Robberson Thank you Phil. I’m an engineer by day. I manage construction projects and traffic signal systems. The night shift is where it’s at :)
Tabletop WitchCRAFT I thought perhaps you were in engineering or architecture of some kind when I saw the large format printouts of your build plans. (When I checked some time ago those printers were pretty damn pricey. I imagine they still are)
Awesome work!
Is the black wash at the end necessary?
Farzad I think so. Contrast is what I was going for. It really makes them pop!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT thanks!
how thick is that XPS? I can't wait to give this a try. I have my first ever tile drying as I watch you.
29:11 Plans Awesome! Welcome to the world of crafting :). The foam in this video is 1/2” thick.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT thank you so much.
Does anybody else feel like they are cheating on Jeremy by watching these videos? LOL
I'll take this as a compliment... 😉
Tabletop WitchCRAFT Ha! You should, keep up the good work.
No why? Other artist, other method of doing things. I like watching different people getting their nerd on with these type of crafting tutorials.
@@arnop87 Relax, it was a joke.
Garner McCulloch totally!
Would it be cost effective to make a tile like out of all the skulls so like making several tiles that were nothing but skulls so like a Death Pit
Cool idea. If you were to make them all out of Citadel Skulls you might want a second job :) JK it's not that bad, but if you don't mind the scale being off a bit you can always pick up a pack of skeletons from the dollar store around Halloween or online. Check out this video where I butcher one for it's axe. ua-cam.com/video/d_zmLuHLMO8/v-deo.html
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT how well with green stuff make kind of a skull cuz I know you use green stuff a lot do you think you can make a skull floor from green stuff
DJ Wild Bill Yes, bur it depends on how big the floor is and how much time do you have. A project like they you might be better off buying the skulls. You might have just given me a cool idea....
What's the eco art graphite grey you talk about at 6:39. I tried to look it up but couldn't seem to find it
I added it to the Amazon Links for you in the description.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT thanks, i was having some issue looking for it. I added it to my order. I was going to buy some of the model leaves and grass from the green stuff world but I'm going to try to make some grass with saw dust
Yeshua Of Nazareth Right on!! Let me know how it turns out :)
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT will do, I'm going to test out faux fur as grass tomorrow as well. I hope i havent asked this before but is there a place we can share stuff for you to see?
@@swashbuckle9856 Definitely! If you head over to my Facebook Page you can post photos of your projects in my Fan Art Photo Album!
What foam do you use for this?
XPS foam. There’s a. Amazon link in the description.
hi one question , How do you cut your big pieces? than ks
Are you referring to the larger tiles in the background? If so I use a 48" T Square and an OLFA knife to break down the 4'x8' boards into manageable sizes. From there I use the Proxxon or continue to use the T Square and knife. Does this answer your question? Thanks for watching!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I mean large pieces of foam, for example an entire plate.thanks
@@miguelangelpicazo7130 Yes, my larger pieces I break down with a T Square and an OLFA knife.
Some of the squares on this one I plucked out and then replaced with variations. There's one that's taller, a couple that are slightly rotated, one that's cracked down the middle and pushed up like there's something under it growing. The parts that are fully carved out I filled with some dry earth crackle texture (I think
I used Agrellan Earth--though apparently this pic was before that was filled in). This was for a specific encounter that took place in "the circle market", but I've reused it for random dungeon encounters, too.

David Rickey Some great ideas, thanks for sharing Davis.
how did you make the diy wash?
Its a mixture of Liquitex Flo Aid, distilled water, Liquitex Matte Medium and 80% Black ink, and 20% Burnt Umber Ink.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Ink, not paint! Ah... I tried to do a homemade wash, but I used water and model paint which turned out HORRIBLY. Where do you get the ink?
@@doelbaughman1924 Hi Doel, in the video description there are Amazon links to the black and burnt umber inks I use in my washes. Thanks.
Very creative, do you use a finish of any type?
Hey Fyrefall thanks, and yes. It's at the bottom of my Amazon Links in the description above. I use Krylon Matte Finisih.
1:43 does anyone know the music?

Thank ye kindly
how strong/thick is the fishing line?
Alexander K. 8lb test fishing line.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT in germany we have only cm or mm or meter :(
Alexander K. Don’t get too caught up in the exact size. Just get some lightweight line and you’ll be good to go!
