As an aroace-spec person who is frequently complimented for their smell and has always really liked shiny things, world domination, garlic bread, boxed juice and cake, I can confirm that, sometimes, stereotypes can be pretty accurate 😂
The difference here is that those were stereotypes that were created by our community. That’s why they are great they double as in-jokes and a bit more accurate than something that wasn’t like say we are all naive about sex.
Non-ace aro people like those things as well. When I achieve world domination, I intend to massively increase the number of bakeries to produce more aromatic cake and garlic bread displayed on shiny crystal stands. Funnily enough, though, I don't particularly care for juice boxes. And yeah, getting my phone to quit auto-corrupting aromantic has been a thing.

One thing I really love about LGBallT is that because they're all balls, they don't have humanoid bodies. So anyone can look at them and feel comfortable relating to the identities based on the flag colors. Obviously sometimes a few traditional gender signifiers come in handy for storytelling purposes (i.e. using a hair bow for trans ladies), but overall someone reading doesn't have to think about their body shape, size, level of "passing," clothing/fashion choices, etc and just be the ball! I dunno, I just find it pleasant. Also Jamie, that Jimmy Dooder comic was definitely a tribute to you! I see tons of folks in the comments of your videos who have been helped by your wonderful insight and experience. I hope you keep doing the fantastic work you're doing!
LGB-All T could be interpreted as trans Lesbians, Gays, and Bis, so I guess it doesn’t have to be bi erasure! Honestly, trans and bi are just the best combination.
6:00 As a disabled enby I feel like the one thing I have got going for me is the toilet situation, because the accessible toilets are always gender neutral.
@@junebunny0712 That's a shame. They are rarely gendered over here since they take up quite some space and companies don't want to invest the money/space to make two.
My grade 8 class visited Toronto and I had 3 litres of water in less than 10 hours so one of the teachers brought me to one of the restaurants nearby. They only had a men's washroom and a women's washroom. I had somewhat of a panic attack and the teacher was nice enough to take me to a different restaurant so I could use the gender-neutral washroom they had there.
Potato, a strop due to a perceived entitlement brought about by a social contagion, propagated by people like Jamie, who are paid to push this ideology is not a panic attack.
@@veilbreak5867 Interesting concept but exactly who is paying them then if you are so educated. Also, why are you gaslighting an eighth-grader about having a panic attack? This channel is a safe space for people. It doesn't affect you so just leave it alone.
I went out for Greek food in Richmond, VA a little over a month ago and on the door to the bathroom, it had both the male and female symbols, a half and half symbol, (pants on one side, skirt on the other) and a picture of an alien. 7:49 this is so funny to me because the first character I have ever clocked as asexual is James from Pokemon, who is well known for... many things and lesser known for collecting bottle caps I like how we somehow came to the universal belief that asexuals are this strange cross between crows and dragons. dunno where it came from but I like it.

6:40, just in case you were still wondering, the pronunciation is different because aromantic comes from being non-romantic (a-romantic), whereas aromatic comes from aroma.

Hi Jamie! You're adorable and delightful as always! "Aromantic" and "aromatic" are pronounced differently because the root word of one is "aroma" and the root word of the other is "romance". The "a" at the beginning of "aromantic" is a negating a. A prefix. The"a" at the beginning of aromatic is part of the main word. Cheers from a friendly elder enbybi!
as an aroace person, yes we do want garlic bread, cake, shiny things, and not world domination bc we’re good children right everyone? *winks* also i have never heard of the juice boxes thing either…

6:00 “There’s not enough gender neutral toilets” Hi! Nonbinary cryptid here, I completely agree with this statement, but it just reminded me of something kinda wholesome! So last week, I was in Washington DC, and I think every place I went to had either a) gender neutral bathrooms, or b) the bathrooms were single use so anyone could use them. One place I went to get breakfast (called Founding Farmers, 10/10 recommend) has bathrooms labeled “Men, Women, and the rest of us” and I love it The college I do band courses at also has specific bathrooms FOR NONBINARY PEOPLE!!! Enough people filled out forms that the college realized they should add more bathrooms for gender non conforming people, and midway through second semester they added bathrooms specifically for gender neutral people! It was such a small thing but AH it was amazing!! On a different note, while I’m thinking of little happy things, I was emailing one of my teachers, and I always sign off my emails with “*name* (They/Them/Theirs)” and my Chemistry 1) immediately started using my pronouns, and 2) STARTED ENDING HIS EMAILS WITH He/Him/His TO HELP WITH THE NORMALIZATION OF PRONOUNS They’re small things but AH they make me so happy
Genuinely curious: I identify as pan and I never got why pansexuality is considered biphobic and transphobic. I’m attracted to people regardless of sex or gender. I’m a person who likes people. And no, I’m not attracted to everyone like some people think. I have a type, but it’s mainly their personality that can make or break attraction to me.
I explained this in a different comment, but it basically comes down to a stubborn misconception about pansexuality that came about because of how SOME pansexual people have defined their pansexuality in the past. Basically, some pan people have said 'I'm pan and not bi because I like trans people', implying that 1. you need a specific orientation to be attracted to trans men, trans women and nonbinary people, and 2.) bisexuality automatically excludes those people when it doesn't. Both of which are biphobic and transphobic things to say. Of course, It's entirely unreasonable to hold what _some_ pan people have ignorantly said against an entire orientation, and I find the only people who say this are people who are ignorant about what pansexuality actually means, or who like picking fights for dumb reasons lol. But I genuinely do not think most people (hopefully?) think that.
This is a new thing for me to hear. I had only ever heard people say Bisexuality was phobic because it "denied other genders." The most I heard about Pan was that it was "Bi erasure" and some folks considered it to be a replacement for Bisexuality considering there's more than 2 genders. Never heard of pan as being transphobic before!
It's cause it was originally made by an exclude who didn't belive trans and non binary people fit into bisexuality, despite them clearly being a part of and included in the bi movement
@@Lisa_Flowers That's partially correct. You see pan was originally made by an exclude who didn't belive trans/non binary people fit under bi, so made pan as a full on new orientation to include those two. Which then later lead to the harassment of bi people who would get called transphobic for not using the pan label as well as just general transphobia towards binary trans people for implying that they aren't really their genders.
Elder millennial with some history here. It use to be back in the 00's that bi mislabeled to be trans phobic and pan was not. I don't know why or how being pan would be biphobic. I grew to understand that whatever decision you want to identify as either bi, pan, or omni is up to you and is in no way phobic to anyone. But then again I'm old so I should probably go yell at the kids on my lawn.
Always love this one - particularly because Jamie has so very much fun with them and sharing his joy is a great way to elevate my mood! Thank you for that, Jammidodger or joey dooder as the case may be ;)
There’s a pizza place that I love that I just learned has **only** gender neutral bathrooms. The pizza place is only big enough to have maybe 20 people, but they have **4** GN bathrooms.
@@CraftyVegan honestly, I really thing this should be the norm going forward. Single stall, gender neutral bathrooms. Doesn't matter who you are, and takes away a lot of the controversy there's been about bathrooms and trans people. I've seen this at a few places (like 6 single stall bathrooms and that's it), and I think this should become the "new normal".

as a pansexual trans person, how tf is pansexual bi/transphobic lmao. I just feel more comfortable with pansexual than bisexual given literally everybody no matter identity can be hot
to give context - there are _some_ pansexual people who define their pansexuality as different from bisexuality because they are attracted to trans people. Basically "I'm pansexual because I like men, women, trans men, trans women, and nonbinary people". When obviously trans men and women _are_ men and women and not a seperate gender that you need a specific orientation to be attracted to. And to some degree it's the same with being nonbinary - Pan people are not the only orientation allowed to be into enbies. Also makes biphobic assumptions about bisexuality excluding trans and/or nonbinary people, when it does not. Now of course not ALL or even MOST Pan people define themselves this way, and it's not something I hear all that much anymore, but it is something i've heard Pan people say in the past. People making generalisations about that answer and what it means about pansexuality is where the unfortunate and inaccurate accusation comes from.
I've literally seen people try to say that asexuality is transphobic for some reason. I'm convinced that those comments mainly come from trolls who want to create (more) infighting within the LGBT+ community
@@Lisa_Flowers bisexuality is an attraction to 2 OR more genders, pansexuality is an attraction to ALL genders, anyone saying bi or pan are transphobic are goofy and dumb. there's a small difference between bi and pan but neither are inherently transphobic
@@sunnywunny idk. It's primarily aphobes that do that, so I don't tend to take them seriously. I remember seeing someone post a chart about Super Straights and it basically said that asexuals are only attracted to trans people (like, wut) and asexuals that aren't are transphobic. Like, dude, you got a fundamental misunderstanding of what asexuality is if you genuinely believe that.

As an aroace-spec person who is frequently complimented for their smell and has always really liked shiny things, world domination, garlic bread, boxed juice and cake, I can confirm that, sometimes, stereotypes can be pretty accurate 😂
It's kinda spooky how accurate it is! I want some cake and a juice box right now!! 😭
@@AlottaBoulchit Here they are! 🍰🧃
The difference here is that those were stereotypes that were created by our community. That’s why they are great they double as in-jokes and a bit more accurate than something that wasn’t like say we are all naive about sex.

These comics are all so cute. This is coming from a bisexual and I’m okay with the bisexual erasure in LGBallT 😂😂 I love your channel Jamie!
The way I see it, bisexuals stand for all, which is the opposite of erasure.
LGB-All T could be interpreted as trans Lesbians, Gays, and Bis, so I guess it doesn’t have to be bi erasure! Honestly, trans and bi are just the best combination.
and ghe comics are free to make.

6:00 As a disabled enby I feel like the one thing I have got going for me is the toilet situation, because the accessible toilets are always gender neutral.
A lot of the times the accessible toilet is just a stall in either bathroom, which are usually gendered in my area.

4:45 I want to see these two balls being best friends and also maybe being each other's wing person.
I went out for Greek food in Richmond, VA a little over a month ago and on the door to the bathroom, it had both the male and female symbols, a half and half symbol, (pants on one side, skirt on the other) and a picture of an alien. What it said underneath was “Whatever. Just please wash your hands.” I think every bathroom should have that sign.

“There’s not enough gender neutral toilets”
Hi! Nonbinary cryptid here, I completely agree with this statement, but it just reminded me of something kinda wholesome!
So last week, I was in Washington DC, and I think every place I went to had either a) gender neutral bathrooms, or b) the bathrooms were single use so anyone could use them. One place I went to get breakfast (called Founding Farmers, 10/10 recommend) has bathrooms labeled “Men, Women, and the rest of us” and I love it
The college I do band courses at also has specific bathrooms FOR NONBINARY PEOPLE!!! Enough people filled out forms that the college realized they should add more bathrooms for gender non conforming people, and midway through second semester they added bathrooms specifically for gender neutral people! It was such a small thing but AH it was amazing!!
On a different note, while I’m thinking of little happy things, I was emailing one of my teachers, and I always sign off my emails with “*name* (They/Them/Theirs)” and my Chemistry 1) immediately started using my pronouns, and 2) STARTED ENDING HIS EMAILS WITH He/Him/His TO HELP WITH THE NORMALIZATION OF PRONOUNS
They’re small things but AH they make me so happy
Genuinely curious:
I identify as pan and I never got why pansexuality is considered biphobic and transphobic.

@@bronztrooper9440 "you don't have sex so you're transphobic" how does that... work... how do people even come to that conclusion in any way lmao
