My fiance started dating me when I wasn't out as a trans man and he was so proud when I came out and decided that no, he was not straight, he was demisexual, because it wasn't that he was attracted to my body, nor was he attracted to my gender, he was attracted to this person he knew and loved. And that made me love him all the more.

I’ve had romantic relationships, but not in a long time, and I have turned down my share of people. Ace/aro is a thing, and it has nothing to do with mental health.
@@AIHumanEqualitycorrection, it *can have to do with mental health, such as ptsd (I know this because of a very close friend of mine). However, some people are naturally asexual and/or aromatic and their sexuality/romantic attraction has nothing to do with their mental health.
It's worth still recognizing that it *can* have to do with mental health, but also remembering that being naturally ace/aro is just as possible! In general, it's just important to listen to people when they talk about how they feel.

Hi Jamie! Every since coming out as trans I've had a spike in anxiety when around men or male-presenting people, especially in small spaces. I used to enjoy riding busses but I don't anymore, and now I have to sit in the back of the bus to be able to see everybody else. Does anybody else have this or am I being a jackass?
Can't really speak about the trans part but just know that you're not a jackass for feeling a certain way. Anxiety is a complicated thing, and while it would be for the best to find out why, and work on it, it's completely valid
@@trevorchester4439It doesn't matter. As long as they're perceived as men the brain will unconsciously consider them threats. It's a perfectly normal reaction in modern society honestly.

The most telling thing about the whole starfield outrage is that Baldur's Gate 3 came out like a month before it and also had inclusive character creation options. Yet anyone outraged at that just got completely smothered by the sheer positivity from the D&D community at large. Whereas Starfield brought out the more neckbeardy "gamer bros" and the media just lapped it all up.
Plus.also gay love and also lesbian(?) Because if u choose whatever character u can make him gay with the white hair vampire guy that is hot I feel also there's some love with women if your character is a woman
baldrus gate had both a generic and focussed fanbase behind, which was already positive, or at least true neutral, toward lgbt+ starfield had literally nothing but gamers due to be a generic space setup, which are against everything by design in the first place
Also every trans person I know who also loves Bethesda games (which... is like 90% of them) nevertheless got so burned by Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online that they wren't even interested in Starfield. They kept playing Skyrim or Oblivion or Morrowind. Meanwhile Baldur's Gate _did_ appeal to quite a lot of them. Basically I'm saying I think a higher percentage of Starfield's customers were gamer bros who weren't extremely salty about ESO and F76.

That's really dumb, a Mormon therapist of all people should know that people need love and support, they should let God do the judging, instead of just being rude for no reason
7:38 "Just admit you are homophobic." I think I was 14 or so when my dad admitted that he does not like seeing relationships where a white woman is with an African-American man. He even said that he knows that it is a racist view, but that the pairing makes him uncomfortable personally. The fact that he openly admitted "I feel this way, knowing it is racist" just made me respect him even more, because at least he isn't trying to lie about it (he HATES liars) or hide it. And he knows it is wrong. My dad lived through the 60s, when that was a very prevalent view, in a predominately white area so I can see where it came from. I don't see this as him being hateful, just as a product of where and how he grew up. Because in other matters, such as me being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community (in several ways), he is firmly an ally. One of the major sort of "Rules of Etiquette" we had growing up was "Don't force your views/opinions/identity/religious preferences/etc. onto others." People just wanting to live openly as a non-hetero person or couple? 100% OK in his book, as that's not really his business anyways. Constantly bash people with "I am [blank] so you HAVE to listen to me" and he will take offense, even on the behalf of others. EDit: An Asexual that cannot have garlic bread!? [Asexual who loves Garlic and Garlic Bread Panic Attack]
My own dad once said “I respect people who will come up to me (he’s mixed, Native American + African american) and say ‘I hate you for your skin color’, then move on, than people who behind people’s back to be racist.”
“Constantly bash people with ‘I am [blank] so you have to listen to me.’” So, listening to LGBTQ+ people on LGBTQ+ issues because we’re LGBTQ+ and know what we’re talking about would be considered “bashing,” then? Listening to trans people on trans issues because they’re trans would be considered “bashing?” You seem to have more respect for your out-of-touch racist father than you have for people of differing identities. That’s deeply concerning and you really need to consider if you’re ACTUALLY an ally or if you just want to white-wash bigotry for the sake of defending your family and the way you were raised. “My dad opposes interracial marriage and I respect him because he’s honest about it” is not the flex you think it is.
@@mc-rn8ro I think they were talking about people saying like “I am [position of power]”, not on lgtq topics, considering they ARE lgtq, since they are asexual.
I mean good for him for being self aware and honest about the fact that his viewpoint/feeling is harmful. But i'd also hope he's working on changing it. It isn't really enough to just know you have an conscious or unconscious bias, you have to work through the discomfort until it's gone. Otherwise it will end up affecting how you treat people, even if it's unintentionally. Because really, being aware you have a bias is the actual bare minimum. Working on it is what matters.
They actually target these kinds of videos. Council of Geeks has a video titled "How to stop transphobic (or any far-right) ads from running on your channel" giving instructions because youtube doesn't even let content creators know they can do anything about it.
I found out about that instructional video from a later video they did titled "Dear One Topic... (about those ads on your channel)" about why those types of ads get targeted to these types of videos even though the vast majority of viewers will not be receptive, and the harm they do.

3:05 watching british people try to explain thanksgiving as a family dinner is eerily similar to watching homophobes try to explain lesbians as roommates
I am sick, and gender fluid. That first one made me laugh and the cough my lungs out! XD Edit: this is literally a joke. I am fine. I cough and sound like I'm dying, but it's just to get stuff out. I'm not literally coughing up a lung.
3:07 I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a turkey, the idea being everyone's gathered for Thanksgiving dinner (an American holiday on the third Thursday of November)
I am non-binary and I will steal your cake. Idk if that's related but still. I also have really bad period cramps, so I might steal your chocolate as well. If you have chocolate cake, you will be my second favourite person in the world.
2:22 I just need to say this here while i still can: As a fellow human being that identifies as genderfluid, i can indeed confirm that yes, this is accurate on my part.
Ok but I was doing a buzzfeed quiz earlier, the kind where it's like "eat for a full day and we'll tell you your age" type thing, and I legitimately had a mini breakdown having to choose between bagels and sourdough in the bread round. Can you tell I'm aro/ace lol?
When I changed my ways and started educating myself about LGBTQ+ matters, one thing that was hard for me was asking questions. It was hard to admit that I didn't know. I was embarrassed (and still am) that I was so ignorant. I have to remind myself to give myself grace, because learning new things takes time. One thing I didn't know up until earlier this year was that transmen who are only attracted to women are straight, not lesbian. My stupid brain attributed those labels to biological sex, not gender identity. I wasn't being transphobic, I just didn't know. 😣
I mean kudos to you for admitting your ignorance and being open to the discomfort of making mistakes! Many many people would much prefer to pretend like they are knowledgable about queer people because it is easier and less uncomfortable, even if it is ultimately harmful. The path to learning more will unfortunately lead you to say and do things that are likely hurtful to queer people as you learn what is correct. But it is MUCH MUCH better to say unintentionally hurtful ignorant things in the path to being knowledgable and supportive, than it is for you to continue to have a potentially ignorant hurtful worldview for fear of making mistakes or looking foolish. If more people were like you, the world would be a much better place. Most people are never really taught to learn, and to embrace the messy parts of that process (making mistakes or not knowing or looking foolish), so we all remain in our little silos not understanding each other. Also, at least in my opinion, transphobia (and many other kinds of oppression) don't always have to be intentionally malicious to still qualify as phobia. We all do and say phobic things out of ignorance, or unconscious bias. So what you thought _was_ transphobic, even if you didn't intend it to be. That doesn't mean you are a bad person, because engaging in X bigoted behaviour (especially in isolation) is not necessarily an assessment on indivdiual moral character, but an assessment of a pairtuclar behavuour. You or I or anyone else can be transphobic because we don't know any better or are acting unconsciously from behaviours we were taught. That's why to me at least it's more productive to focus on an action (does a behaviour or assumption or statement stem from transphobia) and not identity (saying or doing something transphobic always means you are a bad person, or a bigot). Focusing on the individual moral character of a person doing or saying a harmful thing can be a waste of time and distract us from identifying very real harm.
Yes, that's what I was coming to say. If it was drawn by an american and put out in autumn I'd guess a turkey representing a big family gathering including people who may not be all together the rest of the year.
@@AIHumanEqualityas someone who was beaten up every day of my school life I am in no way obligated to forgive the people who actively made my life a nightmare.
Nobody is ever required to forgive, but the important thing is to not sit on that hatred/anger and stew in it. You don't need them to 'repay' or suffer for you any more than you need to acknowledge their existence. Just as long as you continue on with your own life, as you wish, and don't focus on them, you are growing and living and doing what is healthy, so hell yeah good on you. God damn it, now I'm wondering what sound a genderfluid makes when they fall into water XD Small edit: I invited a genderfluid friend for a walk tomorrow, will update with the results
The answer is gonna entirely depend on three factors rly: Temperature, Time, and T-Composition Liquids make differin sounds dependin on the temp at which they hit a surface, includin another liquid; which is how you can tell if the water comin out of a tap you cannot see is hot or cold based on the small diff in sound caused by temp. Note, this is similarly also true of solids but itll vary a ton based on makeup and how long it has been solid and how cold it has gotten... And gases will also make their own sounds when hittin a surface, tho not sure actually if heatin the gas more will change the sound before reachin an ignition pt or other reaction pt. Onto the second T, Time. The slower or faster an object, regardless of its state of matter, hits a surface; thats gonna entirely change how it sounds And the final T, T-Composition, obvs what any object is made of is gonna play a huge part in the sound made when collidin with any other object If you drop liquid genderfluid into liquid water, both at room temp, then dependin on the genders that make up that genderfluid; that will let you find out what that genderfluids sound is, well, in that one exact case ofc. Gonna have to drop them into a lot of diff liquids and while theyre at diff temps and while pourin at diff times. Ooh, and maybe exp with diff accessories on your genderfluid and see how that affects sound There are many fun new dips comin in genderfluids future :3
@@SylviaRustyFae unfortunately, I only have one gender fluid friend that lives adequately close to me to partake in the experiments. As a feminist cis lesbian, I do not understand why some of my sisters are so hateful of trans folks. Wtf? I feel like if a woman is born in a man’s body n then chooses, by choosing to be herself n transition(in whatever way), to lose all the privilege that male body gave her, n live as one of us….She’s welcome to my space. Of course I don’t think this is the trans woman’s plan-to infiltrate women’s spaces. From what I can tell, trans ppl transition bc they come to a place where they’d rather die than not. It becomes an imperative. Why do TERF lesbians think somehow trans struggles are different than theirs? All of this also applies to trans men by the way. I’m not one of those lesbians who believe we’re losing all our butches to trans men lifestyles(n since when do trans folks have “lifestyles”? Heard this b4 from gay ppl insisting they themselves have lives, not life “styles”)? Anyway, pls remember, not all cis or militant lesbian ppl are the same. Enjoying ur channel, Jammy
Thing is, these kinds of feminists who see it as an exclusive thing where they must keep out others who arent the right kinds of women... Theyve always been part and parcel with feminist movements; bcuz there will always be ppl among any given class of oppressed ppl who look to their sides and see not a fellow oppressed person; bcuz of so many reasons for why ppl hate. There are pictures of white cis gay men holdin signs in the 50s that read "Homosexual American Males: Our Nations Last Oppressed Minority". Bcuz they will always have some ppl among any group who are in it for entirely selfish reasons and cant see beyons their own struggles Its the same reason why white feminists have disregarded the plight of Black women and other nonwhite women time and time again in major feminist movements This has nvr been new, bigotry has always been like this; they use the exact same playbook every time they oppress us, and its always best to divide us... So ofc theyll keep doin it and there will always be some of our own who will help them, havin got sucked into the bigotry as well. They just have to be taught to see some of their own as not the same as them; as not truly sharin in their struggle, but instd as a threat to such

I’m trans and abrosexual (the one flag that has the colors of a watermelon) and seeing not really well known flags in LGBallT is SUPER cool, cuz then people may be able to find out who they are and stuff and why they feel that way, as otherwise they’ll most likely only think that the most ‘popular’ or ‘mainstream’ representation options exist. (nothing wrong with that, but could be confusing for some who feel like they don’t really fit with these groups, which are so well known that they’re basically ALL of lgbtq+ to outsiders and those who can’t physically get more information)
I'm abroromantic! It's the only flag I feel comfortable wearing because (unfortunately) no one knows what it is (and my community is everything-phobic, sexist, racist, etc. so I can't come out). I can always say "It's watermelon colors!"
My fiance started dating me when I wasn't out as a trans man and he was so proud when I came out and decided that no, he was not straight, he was demisexual, because it wasn't that he was attracted to my body, nor was he attracted to my gender, he was attracted to this person he knew and loved.
Nope I've always distrusted men (mostly cis men) and I think it's pretty common not only among LGBTQ but also cis straight women too.
@@trevorchester4439 probably because they present as men?
@@trevorchester4439It doesn't matter. As long as they're perceived as men the brain will unconsciously consider them threats. It's a perfectly normal reaction in modern society honestly.

You know, maybe I should rethink my stance on children. Being transparent can come in handy in lots of ways... Just gotta make sure to remember trans day of visibility

Plus.also gay love and also lesbian(?) Because if u choose whatever character u can make him gay with the white hair vampire guy that is hot
I feel also there's some love with women if your character is a woman
baldrus gate had both a generic and focussed fanbase behind, which was already positive, or at least true neutral, toward lgbt+
starfield had literally nothing but gamers due to be a generic space setup, which are against everything by design in the first place
I mean it was like a handful of people screeching. It wasn't exactly an impact on the gaming community as a whole.
@@kaitlyn__L What's wrong with ESO? I know Fallout 76 was apparently pretty bad but ESO has been a decent MMO.

7:38 "Just admit you are homophobic."
I think I was 14 or so when my dad admitted that he does not like seeing relationships where a white woman is with an African-American man.
“Constantly bash people with ‘I am [blank] so you have to listen to me.’”
So, listening to LGBTQ+ people on LGBTQ+ issues because we’re LGBTQ+ and know what we’re talking about would be considered “bashing,” then?
Listening to trans people on trans issues because they’re trans would be considered “bashing?”
You seem to have more respect for your out-of-touch racist father than you have for people of differing identities.

Love LGBallT! So glad you are doing it again
Same
When I changed my ways and started educating myself about LGBTQ+ matters, one thing that was hard for me was asking questions.
I thought I was bi, turns out I'm actually just ball
I think the brown blob was a turkey so maybe Thanksgiving reference
Yes, that's what I was coming to say. If it was drawn by an american and put out in autumn I'd guess a turkey representing a big family gathering including people who may not be all together the rest of the year.

God damn it, now I'm wondering what sound a genderfluid makes when they fall into water XD
Small edit: I invited a genderfluid friend for a walk tomorrow, will update with the results
The answer is gonna entirely depend on three factors rly: Temperature, Time, and T-Composition
Liquids make differin sounds dependin on the temp at which they hit a surface, includin another liquid; which is how you can tell if the water comin out of a tap you cannot see is hot or cold based on the small diff in sound caused by temp.
The slower or faster an object, regardless of its state of matter, hits a surface; thats gonna entirely change how it sounds
And the final T, T-Composition, obvs what any object is made of is gonna play a huge part in the sound made when collidin with any other object
If you drop liquid genderfluid into liquid water, both at room temp, then dependin on the genders that make up that genderfluid; that will let you find out what that genderfluids sound is, well, in that one exact case ofc. Gonna have to drop them into a lot of diff liquids and while theyre at diff temps and while pourin at diff times. Ooh, and maybe exp with diff accessories on your genderfluid and see how that affects sound
There are many fun new dips comin in genderfluids future :3
@@SylviaRustyFae unfortunately, I only have one gender fluid friend that lives adequately close to me to partake in the experiments. And I'm afraid I might be able to convince them twice, so that would seriously limit my sample size or I'd have to make it into a decade long study to not ruin a friendship. My mum will still claim my asexuality is due to my meds.
I feel so validated by this ace ball allergic to garlic
🫡🥲🙃🧄 Condolences, I think? I don't want to interfere with the validation. It's just that it would be hard for me to do without garlic...but you do you.😊
@@amandamcquade1272 I'd rather do without garlic than being sick after eating some. Easy choice for me.
@@cecile436 🫡 Of course. I wish you healthy and contented! (I somehow got confused by "validated". Now I don't know what I was thinking??. Time for me to log off now, I apologize.)💜
The flags for the left ball at 5:04 are:
Gay 🐊🐍🐚🐟🐾
Trans 🐬🐙🐚🐙🐬
Demiboy (partially but not wholly feeling male) 🕷🐬🐚🐬🕷
Apothisexual (sex repulsed asexual) and idk how to do that flag with emojis
The emojis are cute
Bcuz they will always have some ppl among any group who are in it for entirely selfish reasons and cant see beyons their own struggles
Its the same reason why white feminists have disregarded the plight of Black women and other nonwhite women time and time again in major feminist movements
This has nvr been new, bigotry has always been like this; they use the exact same playbook every time they oppress us, and its always best to divide us... So ofc theyll keep doin it and there will always be some of our own who will help them, havin got sucked into the bigotry as well. They just have to be taught to see some of their own as not the same as them; as not truly sharin in their struggle, but instd as a threat to such
Nothing like having a shitty day but having a youtube parent to come to
A bi & trans parent no less!
Not joking, saw a PragerU ad right under this video about the "dangers" of gender affirming care.
15:00 apparently, it's even funnier than that. he started his rant because of a scene in which a character is about to reveal something about themself. He then jumps the gun and assumes it's a trans coming out thing, except it isn't.
Dysphoria sucks
Hearing Jamie pronounce the r in party deadass made me do a double take lmao
Homophobic therapist shouldn't exist, but sadly they do.
Im almost certain that the "pride flag" shown at 6:11 that the homophobic ball is complainin about is not actually even a pride flag
My vexillology nerd is certain this flag reminds her of some random entirely unrelated to pride flag; i just cant think of how to search it to figure that one out
7:08 as an asexual, we are never not plotting for world domination (or recipes for cake and/or garlic bread)
Plot for world domination while eating garlic bread
@@Sunnydaze081 and making cake
9:25 Yes, it’s the Aroace flag and Cupid is cupiosexual (asexual who desire having sexual relationships)
Imagine if I was a vampire. It would be terrifyingly painful to not eat my precious Garlic Bread . Because if I did, I’d die.
The very thought frightens me.
Conservatives are the vampires who are turning people into them whether they like it or not.
I love the LGBallT cartoons. Thank you for covering them. Your reactions are great!
Yes more of this subreddit! 🎉🎉
I hate these lies
Aro/ace still feel atraction
Like gravtitatinal attraction
Aro ace arnt imune to gravity
/j
Stop spreading these falsehoods, I saw an ace person fly past my window last night! They *are* immune to gravity and they are mobilizing! (Joke)
We feel very little gravity, while some of us don’t feel gravity, don’t lie 😡 /lh
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie
The horn flags on the gay/trans ball are the demiboy flag and apothisexual flag :)
7:04 How did they find out our plan starts within the next 2 years? Who talked during the one week a year that people can see us?
I stopped making my Halloween costume to watch this
😂
Good luck finishing it! I hope your costume is to your liking!
The enby to genderfluid is the reverse of my child’s coming out (figuring out?) journey lol
Aroace going as attraction is giving me anya from buffy going as a bunny ❤❤
13:10 THE GENDERFLUID IN TBE TABLE AND THE DEMIBOY BALL JUST BEING HALF A BALL I CANT 😭 it’s so cute I love this
One of my favourite subreddits!! Relatable aroace ball as always :))
Not the am I gay quiz I did like every day when I was a kid LOL
I remember it said "you're as straight as a froot loop"
I love when lgballt videos come out its my favourite sub reddit
I think when people apologize for past phobia its mostly for them, which in my opinion is good for their healing and growth
