  • So I have been asked literally a 100 questions or more, I’ve had countless UA-cam comments, all asking why I did it, why did I buy a Spark and why did I buy a 4 stroke... Well in this video I cover everything, set the record straight and do a deep dive into the reasons why there is a Seadoo Spark TRIXX in the Classic Jetskis line up.
    Spoiler, I’m not selling any 2 strokes and don’t think I ever could, I love these machines, this is just me and Megs embracing new gen also.
    Thanks for watching and supporting guys... Please consider hitting the subscribe button.

    I already have over 100 hours from only owning my spark trixx for 1 and a half years, riding crazy almost every time. Its so bulletproof and i havent had any issues yet. its so fire

      This is the thing right, where the Spark is great, it can be the new gen modern work horse to put the hours on and then the pristine beauties come out to play on a rotation basis lol. I have to say I still love the old stuff more than the Spark, but the Spark is good for a new ski, just too slow man. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel ✌✌

    I raced on a local Texas circuit in the mid to late 90's, starting with a 94 XP then a modded 95 XP800 and 96 XP. I stopped racing and riding entirely for nearly 30 years but just bought a 2024 Spark Trixx last week. Haven't skipped a beat and got some pretty good blisters on my hands from riding 3 days straight. Found your channel while browsing UA-cam looking for mods.

      Man love this! The 95.5 XP 787 is so hard to get now as most were modded and raced... I would love to find one! Thats mega that you were racing back then, I was born in 1993 so was only 2 when you were racing these classics... crazy, so pumped to here you're back in the saddle and riding again, the Spark is a great new gen remake of the XPs... 3 days straight! Thats commitment right there. Glad you found the channel, hope you enjoy the videos, thanks for watching and supporting 😎💪👌

    I just looked at the new 2024 Sparks yesterday and the updates caught me off guard. There actually is an engine access in the fire extinguisher area under the seat now. The LinQ hookups are cool too. I have 2 newer Yamahas and they both handle very glued in, they don't play well. The RXP and RXT are similar in that they don't come undone to play around. They're all business. I'm looking to sell one for something that handles different whether that be a Superjet, Jet Blaster or Trixx. The new 2024 updates didn't catch my attention until I looked at one in person yesterday.

      I have to say I have literally only last week had a go on the brand new 2024 Seadoo TRIXX one up and although there are some minor cool new additions as you have outlined, mainly the engine access, although this then defeats the 99% water tight original USP when the spark launched... the new 2024 spark still needs to go to 130hp for me to be a true MK 2, hopefully this comes. As you say the other RXP RXT are way to complaint and dont want to let go like the old stuff... I haven't rode a Jetblaster yet but believe they dont wheelie like the spark does... I love the spark for a new gen ski but its not truly comparable to my XP until we get 60mph stock out the box... Thanks for watching 💪💪🙌🙌

    I will say I love my 2 strokes but also my 4 strokes. I like having one or many of each. So, I totally agree with you getting a spark trixx and I really want one too because it's basically like a modern spx or xp but with neutral, reverse, reliable, 4 stroke, all brand new, etc. But seadoo needs to get that 3 cyl spark trixx to make some more power while still being reliable and lightweight and I'd have a sick 2 stroke and 4 stroke duo.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  2 місяці тому +1

      Agree man, the spark is the perfect modern day ski to have to bring the 90s spirit into your every weekend rider... Its not quite a SPX/XP but its close and we love it.. As you say super reliable and goes for miles on £35... The only thing is it needs to be a 60MPH ski... Thanks for watching 😎💪

      Sounds like a solid move, I'm super excited to have a go on a GTRX 300, those polytec 2 hulls are fun man for a bigger ski... I've rode the GTI 170 and thats a blast... for me though its got to be the spark as thats the only thing similar to the old stuff. Thanks for watching, hope the new GTRX 300 is a blast...

      @@classicjetskis The GTR-X is so much fun. It gives you the power of a RXP but also the fun of a Spark. It doesn’t dig in at every turn and allows you to slide it and throw it around

    Don’t tow it with the cover on, you will get wind rash on the jet ski. Only use the cover when storing it

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  23 дні тому

      You only make this mistake once, I traveled without a cover on once with my xp and a stone chipped the gel coat… not again, I have since put a microfiber lining on the inside of all my canvas OEM covers… this massively reduces this potential issue of swirls… also I ceramic coat my gel coat skis which helps with swirls… it’s easier to cut of swirls though than dealing with stone chips. With a spark though covers imo don’t mark the spark if you coat and protect it.🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks for watching… 👍

    Introduced my son to skis last year. Let him ride my Yamaha EX and the Seadoo 96 SPX. He prefers the SPX over the EX it is lighter and more playful. If the SPX ever breaks and is not worth fixing, we will have to check out the Spark.

      Hey buddy! That’s awesome that you’re getting your son into skis. The 96 SPX is definitely a blast-its light and playful nature makes it super fun. I get why he prefers it over the EX! If the SPX ever gives you trouble and isn’t worth fixing, the Spark is a great option to check out. It’s got that modern 4 stroke reliability, yes its never going to have 2 stroke character but they are good fun. Enjoy the rides with your son, dude! Thanks for watching dude 👍✌

    If you want a nice 2 person 2stroke, get a 90s GTI or GTX.
    My fiancee loves my 96 GTI 717. Super stable and super reliable.
    They also have reverse/neutral..

      Both are 3 person ski

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  2 місяці тому

      Both great classics and great skis but the thing is the Spark even as a 3up really behaves much more like a 1-2up ski whereas the old 3 seaters GTI/GTX are bigger skis. Spark even when a 3up is super playful.
      The other thing is I have the freedom to remove and add back on the rear platform to covert back and forth but always have the longer seat. I know you hate it Glen but honestly having a collection of old and a new ski, is a great compromise as you can use the new ski as a work horse, put all the hours on it, we've put 50 hours on it already...and then in my case keep my classics clean and keeping hours down by rotating through the collection lol....
      As much as I love the old stuff, my love affair is with 1-2up machines old classics, not 3 seaters as they are too big, a 3up spark is only slightly bigger than a 2up.
      The IBR on the new stuff is chalk and cheese to the old reverse on the old stuff.
      The XP/GSX wins hands down but the spark is a good new gen addition for us.
      Thanks for watching, hope you're healed up now dude 👌

      Man you have been real unlucky, Sparks are normally bomb proof, mine has 55 hours on it and been flawless, only been in the dealer once and that was for the break in first service.... did you break it in correctly. I did 10 hours and an oil change at 10 hours... I never went into sports mode in the break in... I see alot of owners not do the break in, which would lead to said issues... In general though thats very unlike the spark so you have been unlucky for sure, you mainly see this on the super charger models. Sorry to hear that. Thanks for watching 💪
