Yamaha is clearly taking aim at the Sea-Doo Spark in the Rec Lite segment. What do you think of the new JetBlaster?
Let us know in the comments below.

$9,999 Deluxe 3-Up

@@ClubMayview comparing the prices from 10 years ago to now is just stupid, just like you

530lbs and 110hp ain’t bad. The 90’s machines that everyone loves were 60-80hp and we’re in the ~400lb range. Keep in mind full size pwc’s are nearly 1000lbs. For someone who wants a toy and doesn’t want to mess with carbs or 2t oil this looks like an awesome boat
Everyone complaining about comfort and hitting chop has never been on a stand up lol.
My superjet is literally more fun in the chop than a spark
i love my superjet in the chop but i get what you mean lol
This ski is not to handle chop, is to do tricks. Try an fx if they want some comfort
Have you rode a hull that actually handles chop
The all new Yamaha Trixx.
new? since 2022
Thats amazing that I can hear you so clearly while riding it
Well if you want the look of a spark but the reliability of a Yamaha this is it
That's my thoughts exactly
Exactly brother!!
I’ll be ordering two of these reliable machines
Thank you I’ll be coming back for the next model too
Thank you come again 😂❤
Strange? I had two Spark Trixx 2019, and rang up 330 hours on one, 310 on the other... wanted newer ones, and bought the new 2024 trixx, and sold my 2019's for half of what my new 2024's cost... already have 30 hours on each. What better reliability is there than that? I'm lost.
@@Nitro187my 2024 had 12 hours and the wear ring disintegrated, exhaust manifold was loose and leaking, and it blew a head gasket. Luckily it was under warranty. Classic Sea Doo.
@Nitro187 the spark line is well known to be the most unreliable in the water world. They're dogshit skis
Finally, a reliable seadoo spark
My Spark has been very reliable
@@thisisrob8750 they are "ok", they still aren't a Yamaha TR1 which consistently sees 4000+ hours in the rental ski market and they also don't suffer from a shonky propshaft design that is the Sea-Doo carbon seal issues.
Glad I bought a 2024 model.
Hell yeah man! Love the jet ski videos!
Those colors ! Ugh They always drop the ball when it comes to the colors.
Agree, Japanese seem kind of gay with the colors.
@@scottr3141 it’s like they have a bunch of old farts designing their skis. I’m no hater on Yamaha. I have one!
Yami ripped off the Spark. I always wanted a Spark Trixx but since it was made by SeaDoo, I was very hesitant to buy one. Now that there is a Yamaha "Spark", I'll finally own one. Good job Yamaha!!
No, they didn’t. I see you’re new
@@wyo_garage20 new to what?
@@ajlukelepuke Waverunners. Such an asinine comment would never come from someone familiar with PWC’s
@wyo_garage20 totally. I've only owned 3 Yamis so I must know nothing. Throwing away $$ on inferior watercraft has put your panties in a bunch. It's not your fault. You're new.

Nice review. Curious to see a GPS top speed on that thing, but overall enjoy your content and easy going, fun attitude in these videos! People like you grow the sport!
I’ll take a trixx over this any day.
Waay lighter too.
I'm a BRP and Yamaha certified watercraft tech.
Go ahead and buy the Trixx.
I'll see ya in the shop in 3 months.

But like I said, I'm a certified mechanic, and see a LOT more than 6 units in a month....
@@hyperflitefpv6748 if you think a trix is better than this you’re delusional lmfao
This is so cool that they made more trims of the jetblaster
I have to say great review. I love the video. In my opinion, this is not a spark killer. Haven't ridden the jet blaster, but I get 52 mph on a 2023 spark 3up, and I weigh 245 pounds. Given a new impeller and optimal trim. Spark has a better price point as well .. gotta say I love my spark a lot. It's very modular too. Trix 90hp tune helps as well.
I bought my spark because I watched you now. I might have to buy this. Let’s watch and see.
How stable is this compared to the old EX and the new spark?
Great video. I ride a 97 blaster 2. Love it. Hope I love this one just as much. Hope it lasts half as long as my 97.
Nice to know I can store my GoPro camera and 1 battery in that nose storage area.
Agree. I have a VX and even that gets full. That miniature storage in the front is minuscule, but as I remember, the base model sea doo doesn’t have any front storage, or it looks that way.
Wooooow that's SO SICK!!!!!!
i think this is a step in the right direction, but not where it needs to be yet. we're getting closer.
Doesn’t even come close to the same wheelies or slides as the spark trixx but am glad to finally see Yamaha build something close. Give it a few yrs they might make the pump angles better and make it more playful then make it faster and they’ll have a hell of a unit.
110hp and 530lbs is pretty close to 90’s numbers. Not a bad offering. Pretty excited to see the spark finally getting some competition. Side note: love that they kept glass where it counts and plastic up top. Smart move
My purple hull waveraider is only 175kg (385 pounds) 😂 and the original waveblaster is only 154kg (339 pounds).
Power to weight is almost identical, however you would feel the weight in turns, spins etc.
I do imagine the new jet blaster won't try eject you at high speed though and murder you 😂
Would it be possible to change the color of the Pro 2 up? By changing the plastics?
Are the handlebars adjustable on either model?
First Yamaha that looks decent
Finally, a Yamaha trixx that wont crack 😅
is that a bilge pump that is basically just always running ?
It's even worse than that. Yamaha has patented this and they call it a visibility spout. It takes some of the pressurized water that comes out the impeller and diverts it through a hose to shoot straight up into the air. This actually takes a very miniscule, but still, it takes a small amount of thrust away from the jet pump. It's the stupidest thing.
What’s the water coming out the side? And what’s the rooster tail? Is it still using lake water for engine cooling?
Sarcasm🤔 if not... TR1 motor is lake cooler and all Yamis have the rooster (just cap it)
Well done Yamaha. Competition is healthy
to bad they dident want to compete in the big skis. just left Seadoo to dominate with the 325hp skis
You never want to take 3 people on this thing nor the spark.
Another quality video! Is audio available?
I cringe when I see people with their Lanyard dangling and not connected to them when the engine is running.. yeah only in idle and other boats around filming if anything happens but I’d like to see you promote safety on the water ..
Looks good. Good pricing too.
I was thinking hey will he forget the wireless mic before he jumps in. btw great range there on that mic!
actually really like this coming from a spark
What is the max speed pleas ?
Great review man!!! Does the base 2up still have the same drive train and top speed? I don't believe in luxury bs on a ski or power sports for that matter. It needs to be fast and nimble and I like them bare bones. I will use my boat for luxury lol.
Crazy they copy and pasted the Seadoo spark
rebranded turd. Welcome to Asian ingenuity
Bro really? The spark is just a playful smaller unit like the old xp for example. Its just a class of ski. Why other manufactures have not capitalized is insane but not really. Allow me to explain. Car manufactuers could not make enough trucks and suv huge profit. Same with jet skis. There selling the bigger boats and making bigger money lol. Now the economy is done it make sense for yamaha to offer a fun budget unit. There is not any real major innovation on the spark or trixx. Just a trim that adjust more than a standard trim on the trixx lol.
I guess they don’t really have a New Idea Dept over there.
How the heck do you do routine engine maintenance on these things, through that itty bitty hole under the seat??
The tops come off most newer skis
ok just to get it out there, 5 figures for an economy ski is not economy....
i thought PWC manufactures learned their lessons of why PWC sales dipped and honda just left the game. MANY people just want to buy a cheap semi disposable PWC to ride around a few times a summer.. They don't want a couch with automatic brakes no give gas, go jump waves or wakes do spin pull a tube , sip gas, there you go. "oh but the data shows people want that" probably because your not even in the ballpark of the 5,000 most people are willing to pay for one. You see sparks EVERYWHERE at the beach wave jumping almost never see a Yamaha there anymore.
We need CHEAP jet skis, it can be done 9,999 is not even trying.
Someone at Yamaha should try to fill these things up on the water. It’s amazing how stupid the filler cap is positioned on every waverunner for years now.
Surely they still have spark plugs? Hard to get rid of them…
fiberglass bottom...will hurt when you are beaching it! Ill keep my 16 spark any day over this "TEMU trixx"
maintenance on that looks like a PITA through that little bitty hole.... I hope theres a way to expose the engine more....
It’ll actually be very easy like the sparks you can tell the top of the hull is designed to be removed to service the engine, it takes about 30 minutes to remove the top half
I love Yamaha but wow holy rip off of the spark
I think you mean Seadoo Trixx.
Trixx is a spark@@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
Jet blaster has been around for decades, sorry you think sea doo did it first!
@tylerstark2737 you're thinking of the Wave Blaster which was a 90s Yamaha two stroke ski. The Jet Blaster came out in 2022. Seadoo came out with the Spark in 2014 with the cheaper plastic parts so the could lower the price. The Trixx is the one with adjustable trim and blocks for your feet so you can do wheelies on it. Yamaha copied the adjustable trim and blocks for your feet in 2022. And now for 2025 they are copying the cheaper plastic parts.
The Wave Blaster 1 was from 93 to 96. The Wave Blaster 2 was 96 to 97.
@@tylerstark2737Lmfaooo decades 😂😂😂
There is a really good reason you see low hour sparks for sale everywhere
Largely because people don’t ride them right IMO
@@classicjetskiswhat does "ride them right" mean? I'm genuinely curious.
@@AustinF12trixx’s are made to be thrown around. people buy them thinking they’re a cheap version of a normal ski, hop on them, feel how unstable they are and sell them straight away. it’s the equivalent of a riding big bmw touring bike, then buying a 125cc pitbike and thinking they’re gonna ride the same.
Why is the base model named limited? if its no limited production why the name?
Prices are out of control. That’s why I always buy used.
I think you need a guy that rides spark trix model to go up against it and ride it like a trix. I’d be more than happy to gimme a call lol
Im a vintage stand up rider. I very curious if kawi or yami will ever bring the plastic hulls to the stand up world. Would be sooo light
Hey standup rider here as well! Yea that is an interesting question! I wonder why they haven't. Maybe they couldn't take the hard impacts that are inevitable with the big air type crowd like myself? Although, it's not like you can jump either of the 4 stroke stand ups very well. Interesting thought!
No mention of hull paint issues??
Hoping they bring the Gen 2 Kawasaki x2 to the states🙏🏻
I had spark . Sold it because I was using it in salt water . Man, did it start to rust and eat the aluminum heads . Yamaha seems to hold up better in salt water . I'm wondering if this is the same with the blaster.
Seadoo Spark has a closed loop cooling system. The Jetblaster sucks in water from wherever you are riding and passes that throughout the engine for cooling. So, you would have seawater running directly through the insides of your Jetblaster engine.
How much Mr ?
En el momento en que vi el bolso kislux , supe que tenía que tenerlo.
So, they ragged on the spark when it first came out, and called it a water bottle. Now, they're joining in and stealing the sparks look, too lol.
Great Review but hate it in comparison to the FX Cruiser Models. Yamaha needs to do a better Job with their Paint Colors I miss the black hull with Red and white look or Black hull with Blues the Paint on Yamaha itself they need to fix it from chipping so easily by adding maybe Gel coat or something.
First!! I want one of these !!
Is this what they spent the snowmobile money on ?
I'd rather they build an 850 twin two up atv
I like the improvements, but they tried too hard to look like a bigger Spark. And this obsession with wheelies - does it really matter if you can pull a wheelie? It is great that Yamaha innovated and improved on the existing JetBlaster though, especially during the current depressed global economic conditions.
My big bugbear with the JB and EXR is the lack of footwell drains. I'm not sure if they have addressed it with these models...
Agree
As a JB owner I'm with you. A wheelie I can hold would be fun but not worth the upgrade and I hate that new plastic deck.
It's meant to compete with the Spark and Spark Trixx. It's whole purpose is to put on a show. It's a toy, an expensive one at that.
All I need is bottom end power and a lot of trim on a light machine with some sense of dependability. My only true enjoyment in life is jumping waves . The higher I go the farther, Im away from my wife .
I have a 2021 spark trix full bolt on 120hp propeller , wear ring, ribon delete , free floc exhaust , cold air intake , should I trade it in for one of these?
11,2 for the pro isn’t bad
Totally thought the ski on the left was a seadoo at first
GREAT JOB YAMAHA! THIS IS GOING TO PUT THE SPARK/TRIXX TO SHAME!
Glad I have a '23 Jet Blaster. Some nice upgrades for '25, with more trim angle, upgraded screen, wake/cruise mode. But I simply can't wrap my head around that plastic deck it looks like a cheap toy. If you're going to copy the cheapest ski, you better price the unit as such, which they haven't. Also seems to be slower now, I easily get 56mph(90km), I hope someone else can show better speeds with the '25 JB Pro.
That's the whole point of it. It's meant to be a toy. If you want a machine, you would buy something else.
@@speedball10169 I think the 2022-24 Jet Blaster was able to make it a good balance between looking like a machine while having playful performance, which is what I'd want. I get they were going for something that looks playful and it does. But it also looks very cheap, yet isn't. So they need to lower the price to actually compete with the Spark.
Why such a price difference between all the yamaha blaster models and the BRP spark models??? I'd think if they're trying to compete, they'd basically price match within a few hundred bucks with the spark models.
Looks like a mini VX lol not bad if its faster than the spark or trixx.
Sick
Was disappointed seeing this redesign as i just bought a 2024 jetblaster. Thought i bought too soon. But Dont know that i see any tangible differences though except the cheaper top deck and increased price. And the better water wheelies but oh well. Same engine. Virtually same weight. I think im happy with my purchase particularly with a fiberglass top deck
I'm with you, glad I have a '23 Jet Blaster. The upgraded screen and Cruise/Wake function would be nice feature on ours but I can't get over that plastic deck it looks like a cheap toy.
I dont think its a plastic hull….
@@JackBohan1995 it's not. It's fiberglass. But the top deck is plastic
@@JackBohan1995 sorry meant the deck, not hull. My mistake.
Not bad,...only 10 years too late!
You cannot call it a wheelie when there is no wheels. And sea doo has already claimed this since they came out with the trixx.
Yep but it won't kill my 96 XP.
wow, this is strange Canadian channel viewing a Japanese jet ski and saying that it will kill the Canadian jet ski got it 😂😂😂
Set to Kph instead of mph.
So no real changes to fx range.
These look like a lawsuit 😂😅
Nice! Buy a trixx
Yamaha asked AI to make a trixx
I just alwaya think yamaha could do better ...make it do 65 and itd be perfect. - i almost bought the 2023 jetblaster black n green bcuz it looked good. But found a 2001 gp1200R with 50 hours. Goes 70+mph...for under $5k
Did Yamaha turbocharged the new 1.9L motor for 2025 ?
Yamaha doesn't do turbocharged skis, only supercharged (SVHO).
they did not
Been a Yamaha motor sports fan and owner forever including, Waverunners but they got fat and lazy while SeaDoo has surpassed them in innovation and quality.
At Yamaha "innovation" does not exist. They have perfected the art of refining and repackaging 10 year old technology.
At least they gave us a new Superjet.
So same as spark. Same speed. Smh. Spark cheaper. I'll go with spark. If the speed was 60 or 70 I'd but this but yall failed. Spark still beating jet blaster smh. Had hopes for this to be faster.
Nearly 100lbs heavier too.

if you want full speed bring the trim up to maximum when the trim is up to maximum it means less water resistance meaning you can achieve greater speeds.
wrong
@@RoadTripMan4U correct actually when your trim is set to the maximum (up fully) your jet ski is more out of the water literally less water resistance enabling you to reach higher top speeds.
@@poke_man9854... No

@@poke_man9854 I'm not trying to be rude but you don't understand the hydrodynamics of planing. I will only hit 51-52 on my 24 jet blaster trimmed up. 55-56 trimmed down. Water resistance isn't just the portion of the hull touching the water. It's the waters interaction with the hull which is plowing more when trimmed up
Better engine not 2 stroke junk you can actually see the engine without tearing the deck off I’d say this got the spark beat to hell already
