  • I converted my 3up Seadoo Spark into a 2up for that ultimate playful ride, and it’s completely transformed my riding experience! I put it up against the legendary 1995 Seadoo XP (X4) - the undisputed king of 90s watercraft fun.
    Did the Spark live up to the hype, or does the XP still reign supreme? In this video, I show how it impacts performance, and whether it’s the right move for you. If you're into customizing your ride or just love watercraft nostalgia, you won't want to miss this! Watch until the end to see the XP! 🌊🚤

    Love all of the content you do for the Spark Trixx. I just got mine a month ago and I love it. Your videos have been super helpful and entertaining. Just took off the rear deck on my 3UP and kept the long seat on it like you did in this video. Looking forward to riding it like this.

    Great video, Joe! It’s so funny hearing you talk about trying to make the spark handle more like an X4 in the sense that it slides more. Back in the day we were trying to make the X4 grip more! But you know all this. Funny how things change with time.

      I know, right? Crazy how the script flips. What I would preface this with is that if I'm going around a course, the Spark is great. It’s more when it comes to truly letting go that you notice the difference. The XP needs some mods for sure to handle the course better, but then it's great at spinning. Catch-22, lol. Thanks for watching, man! ✌

    Only found your channel today and spent the whole night flicking through 😂 superb videos, so well put together. I was in the market for an old 2 stoke but you've really got me thinking about a spark now for the reliability. Keep up the good work, you've earned a new subsciber 👍

      Hey dude, that’s awesome to hear! I’m stoked you found the channel and enjoyed the videos. The Spark is definitely a great option for reliability, and I’m glad I could give you some food for thought, with that said there is nothing like an old XP....just saying 😍😂Thanks for the support and the new sub-means a lot! Keep an eye out for more content, and feel free to drop any questions you have. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 👍😊

    Have a 2up Spark that I added the VTS to a few years back. Definitely nothing on the market that is as close to the great hulls of the 90’s as the Spark. Never been on a 3up or Trixx but really enjoy my 2up. Bought it in ‘17 as a leftover ‘16 and intended to keep it a year and trade it towards a 300hp unit. Had too much fun on it and haven’t been able to part ways with it.

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  Місяць тому +1

      Dude, that’s awesome you’re still rocking the 2up Spark! Adding the VTS was a wise move-makes a huge difference, right? I totally feel you on sticking with it. Those 90’s hull vibes are unbeatable, and it’s hard to let go of something that’s so much fun. If your 2up is giving you that much joy, why trade it... Thanks for watching dude 👍💪

    Lol! I always had the 2up trixx and never got the 3up. The 2up chair for carrying a second passenger is somewhat of a headache. Wait to you change the prop to a Solas 12/17 if you don't plan on tuning the ecu. Between that and the worx flame arrestor delete, you will notice a huge difference on performance. I also did the work exhaust and intake and was extremely happy on how it performed after that! Cheers from miami, fl!

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  Місяць тому +1

      Haha, dude, I feel you on the 2up chair, thats why I always say get the longer 3up seat regardless if you're running the rear platform or not... The longer seat when no platform lets you stand on the longer seat and get the nose even higher... But man, that Solas 12/17 prop does sound temping... my stance though on all the mods you mentioned (which I've already considered) for 3-5k spent to get all the mods, you gain like 3-4mph top end which is a poor return.... when people say about low end improvements it doesn't make sense to spend that money when I have 2 strokes that are just better for low end pull... For me if I was going to spend ££££ I would just go turbo kit and be done with, I'm still waiting for the spark X before I do anything to my stock ski to avoid depreciating its value. Thanks for watching dude 👍💪

    • @palmettocarpetmiamiROBERT
      @palmettocarpetmiamiROBERT Місяць тому

      Yeah I spent maybe $800 for all of it and installed it all myself. Pricing must be much higher over there. Prop, flame arrestor delete, intake and exhaust. I do highly suggest changing the prop as the stock one is aluminum and will rust out due to the salt water.

      @@classicjetskis the return is in throttle response and acceleration. the impeller (12/14) and the tune cost like $1000 USD, absolutely worth it

    • @sneezinhatch
      @sneezinhatch 28 днів тому

      I did all those mods plus put a 130 pump on mine and have no problem hitting 62 64 mph not to mention the thru haul exhaust lowered temps and sound really good, I'm the process of putting a small turbo on mine see if its worth it

    I switched out sponsons on my trixx 3up for some adjustable ones from Riva. I set them high to make it more slippery/playful and it's very noticeable to me.
    I'm very tempted to try this 2up conversion after seeing your videos since spins and slides are my favorite things to do on my ski.
    I think the biggest thing stopping me is that I really like and make use of the stock Sea-Doo cover, and I'm afraid it would be too loose with the platform removed (and the 2up cover might not fit over the bigger seat either).

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  Місяць тому +1

      Dude, those adjustable sponsons from Riva sound sick! Setting them high for that extra slippery feel sounds like a blast. If you're all about spins and slides, the 2up conversion could take your game to the next level, man. I totally get the concern about the cover, though-that’s a tough one. I personally just bought a new 2up cover so I have both, I know this is excessive to have 2 covers but I will likely switch between 3up and 2up so makes sense to have both. Would love to see what you end up doing with it! Keep shredding, bro! Thanks for watching 💪

    Whats your thoughts on the new Yamaha Jetblaster thats just dropped? Looks promising

    • @classicjetskis
      @classicjetskis  24 дні тому +1

      Still not a 60 mph ski, so it will suffer from the same disappointment that the Spark has for top-end speed. Exciting to see Yamaha make a light ski, but nothing new just yet! The biggest advantage of the Spark over the JetBlaster is the weight; the JetBlaster weighs 100 pounds more and still doesn’t reach 60 mph, so there’s nothing new here, really. For me, this is a great intro for Yamaha fans, but for the market in general, both the Spark and the JetBlaster still haven’t got it 100% right. For sure, Yamaha took a cool step with the JetBlaster, but it is ultimately a step in the direction of copying a hull philosophy from Sea-Doo, which doesn’t align with the OG Blaster, so it makes no sense. To be worthy of the Wave Blaster name, it needs to more closely emulate what the Wave Blaster was. The Wave Blaster was a super-tippy ski, while the JetBlaster is based more on the Spark, which in turn is based on the X4. So if you reverse-engineer it, that makes no sense, as the X4 (which the Spark is based on) was racing against the Wave Raider, and the Wave Blaster was racing the Sea-Doo HX. The issue here is that Yamaha has played follow the leader. Thanks for watching! ✌

      Man I was like you for a long time, I would deliberately avoid the Spark but I must admit I wish I jumped on one sooner. The Spark is the only thing remotely close to the older stuff (Seadoo wise, interesting to see what the new JetBlaster is like). The Spark 2UP is close to an XP. Its not a 2 stroke which sucks but its good for a 4 stroke. Thanks for watching 😎👍

      @@classicjetskis you are welcome, I enjoy your content brother.
      I may trouble someone for a go on their spark now.
      I'll trade them a go for a go😆 I have an ultra.. The total opposite end of the jet ski scale from the spark. They look fun, just not suited to my needs, I'm grown up now so kind of moved on from my floundering days, 😆 I tour further than I'd want to take a spark, but I could get my daughter one and play on that when she isn't looking I guess.

      @@faisalvlogs9294 hi faisal,... Whatever you decide... Make sure you research extensively, so you know what you want and what to expect, so you know better if you really want what you think you do.
      Also buying new... You take a hit in the pocket when it comes to selling it again.
      Just make sure you research and are ready for some challenges before you move to buy.
      They are big money items and you want to limit the liability on your new asset.
      If you can maintain and repair by yourself, that helps massively lower liability against your ski/ investment.
      I hope this helps mate. Good luck with your purchase also.

      Hey man, thanks for the love on the videos! If you're a big guy at 186cm and 112kgs, the Trixx 1Up can still be a blast, but you might find the 3Up a bit more comfortable and stable. The 3Up offers more space and better weight distribution, so it could be a better fit for you if you’re planning to do some serious riding or want a bit more room. Either way, you’re in for a good time! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!

      I love both. The Spark with the palm rest also is a much easier ski to ride for longer, but do love the feel of the thumb.
